Capítulo 1082: Domination Match 2.

[Note: In the previous chapter, I mistakenly ntioned Knight. My apologies for the confusion. I will correct this in the revision. I’m leaving this note here in case the earlier section hasn’t been updated yet.]

With a ping sound echoing through the battlefield, they quickly noticed that the unseen force that had been restraining them in place had suddenly disappeared.

“Go now!” Alec imdiately gave the command, seeing that his teammates were montarily stalled, without hesitation, he dashed forward first.

The others quickly followed behind him at high speed, after a few seconds, they finally reached the location of the first rune point which was closer to them, using their movent skills, they had vaulted over the remains of damaged structures and scattered rocks until they arrived before a ring-shaped white light floating just above the ground.

From the center of the circle, a beam of light shot straight into the sky, this was the southern rune, the first strategic rune point Alec had intended to capture.

“Brandon, Endrick—this is your stop.” Alec said as he continued moving forward without slowing down.

Lucas and Pale followed him for a short distance before splitting off, since Alec was heading toward the central rune, while they still needed to capture the eastern rune as quickly as possible.

As the two groups separated, Alec adjusted his direction and continued sprinting toward the center of the battlefield, with the surrounding terrain still clearly engraved in his mind from earlier, he had no trouble navigating through the field and quickly locating the destination.

Soon, he arrived at a flat rocky platform that floated slightly above the ground. Without hesitation, Alec bent his knees slightly before channeling all the strength into his legs, as a burst of purple energy pulsed around him while he launched himself upward.

He landed directly at the center of the rune circle, and imdiately a ten-second countdown began just slightly above his head, standing within the rune, he could clearly hear the low, rhythmic humming the formation emitted as it activated beneath his feet, due to him beginning his conquest to capture it.

He took that mont to glance around before looking up into the air, the rune beneath him had begun emitting a faint red glow, and from that he quickly understood that his team’s color in this battle was red.

When he looked toward the projection array above, he imdiately noticed that the first rune his team had entered was already fully captured.

The second one was close to completion, while the central rune he was currently standing in was still the furthest from being secured.

At that mont, his team had already accumulated four points, while the Bloodline Academy only had two.

Alec was able to determine all of this by observing the massive projection array floating above the battlefield.

Below the score display were five pentagon-shaped icons representing the rune points; at the start of the match, all of them had been white. Now, however, one had already turned blue, while another was half-covered in blue light.

The remaining three pentagons were dominated by a red hue. One of them had already turned completely red, the second was nearing completion, and the third had just begun to fill toward the midpoint.

This projection array was what allowed Alec to monitor the entire situation in real ti, as for why his team currently held the advantage, he could only credit the fact that he had forced them to move imdiately the battle began, as it gave them a few seconds advantage.

He suspected that Bloodline Academy had probably moved out more cautiously at the start, but now that the elent of surprise was gone, Alec believed they would quickly understand what was happening, after all, once a team captured a rune, it wasn’t difficult to figure out how the system interface worked.

# A few seconds earlier — Bloodline Academy’s side

anwhile, from where Damien stood, he looked up at the projection array and finally confird that his suspicions about how this battle format worked had been correct.

However, he discovered that there was one problem, and that was the fact that the War God Mage Academy had already taken the early advantage.

“Carmilla, I’ll be back. Stay here until it’s fully dominated. Once it is, head straight for the middle,” Damien said before dashing into the air after blood wings ford behind his back and he flapped them powerfully as they launched him away at a very fast speed.

Though it seems as if Carmilla had questions, but the speed at which he flew away clearly didn’t give her any chance to voice them out, as Damien soared through the air, he reached out to Dragov using his ntal connection.

“Start heading to the center zone quickly. The War God team must have moved out early to capture it and gain the advantage from the start.”

Dragov, who had already been jogging toward the middle of the battlefield, heard Damien’s ssage, and he imdiately bent slightly before launching himself high into the air.

When he landed again, it was atop a tall stone pillar, one that looked heavily weathered by ti, crouching on the pillar, he looked ahead and at that exact mont he saw that the beam of light from the central rune had completely turned red.

Then the familiar ping sound echoed across the battlefield, the signal that a rune point had been captured.

Dragov looked up toward the projection array and saw that out of the five previously white pentagons, three had already turned red, on the scoreboard, the Red Team now had 14 points, while the Blue Team, his team—only had 6 points.

Dragov wasn’t the type of mage who specialized in strategy, but even he understood one thing clearly, if they wanted to win, they needed to take control of the central rune or any one of the two runes that was closer to the initial deploying point of the War God Mages.

And he was fully prepared to seize it by any ans necessary; without much effort, he quickly spotted Damien, who was leaving a faint red streak across the sky as he flew toward the central rune.

Bang!

In the next instant, Dragov disappeared from the pillar where he had been crouching as he launched himself into the air, the force of his movent causing his uniform to whip violently in the wind around him, even after the explosive burst that propelled him upward faded, he didn’t slow down.

Instead, he continued moving forward, gliding through the air just slightly behind Damien, as both of them were now heading straight for the central rune point.
