Now reading: Chapter 1119: Another Black History from The Golem Mage, a Action novel by mystic dark.

Students were violently coughing blood on the ship, and even the few who weren’t looked no better, with their faces pale and strained, after the ship entered the massive space portal that had opened in the middle of the Grand Royal Arena, everything changed.

The envoys told them to hold on tightly to anything they could on the ship, at first, many of them only gripped the ship casually.

That was until the space turbulence began and everything started to shake violently, at tis, the ship even flipped upside down, yet no matter what happened, the three envoys standing at different points of the ship, along with the lead envoy controlling the ship, didn’t look concerned about the students’ fate at all.

They were more focused on keeping themselves rooted in place whenever the ship turned, as the ship twisted and lurched, many students lost their grip and nearly got thrown off, but luckily, a few quick-thinking mages managed to prevent the worst from happening.

Even Alec had to let go of where he was holding on so he could grab Agnes, who in turn was holding Sophia, who had nearly been flung off into space after she lost her grip, Alec gritted his teeth, partially transford his left hand, before he dug his claws into the ship’s floor so he wouldn’t lose his grip.

He knew better than anyone that space turbulence was disastrous, and if even one mber of his team got swept into it, they might never even recover the body, that was why he held on so tightly.

However, not everyone was that fortunate, about two mages were not saved in ti before the ship righted itself again, and all those still aboard could hear their screams of pain before the sound faded away.

As if that were not enough, they soon entered a region with an overwhelming gravitational force that nearly crushed them into at paste, but after facing the first space turbulence troubles, they all seed to gain a special understanding on how to protect themselves better.

Even though it felt as if their insides were being pressed into the ground along with the rest of their bodies, many still managed to hold on this ti by coating themselves in mana.

Though it wasn’t enough to completely stop the crushing gravity pressure, however; it still made things far easier for them.

Alec, on his own, discovered that by exerting a bit of strength while using his gravity control, he was able to reverse the effect of the gravity on himself, so he decided to do the sa for so mbers of his team.

But by the ti his mana had spread to the third person, he was already sweating heavily from exhaustion, it was clear that the drain on him beca far worse when his mana was divided among multiple people, so he chose to focus only on helping Sophia, Agnes, and Katie, believing they were the weakest and in the most imdiate need of support.

After all that suffering through space, they finally ca out of it and were floating in midair once again, which caused many to relax the tension in their muscles. That, in turn, brought on the vomiting.

And for many of them, it was blood, due to internal injuries they incurred during the gravity state.

“Why? He flew right past your side, why didn’t you save him?” Liam shouted, his anger plain on his face, the royal clan had called in a favor and secured spots for three of their mages on the list.

But just now, one of them had failed to properly shield himself when the gravity pressure slamd down, likely because he had already been injured during the earlier bout of space turbulence.

And yet, despite the fact that the mage had passed right beside one of the envoys, the man had simply crossed his arms and watched as the royal clan mage was flung into the space turbulence, where his body was shredded apart by unstable spatial forces.

“You had better watch your mouth when you speak to , he was responsible for himself, so why should I have made the effort to save him? If he couldn’t even survive sothing as minor as the turbulence during the journey to the Origin World, then it only ans one thing, he didn’t deserve to be here in the first place,” the envoy Liam had burst out at said as he released his aura toward him, forcing Liam to drop on one knee.

“He would have just been a waste of a lord token and gotten himself killed as soon as possible. Such weak mages are better off being weeded out by the space turbulence, since at least their death is fast unlike in the Origin World,” the envoy concluded before turning back to look at the horizon.

It was at that mont that they all decided to look toward the new place they had been brought to, since the drama was over, that was when they saw multiple ships, just like theirs, carrying young mages of different cultures and appearances toward an island up ahead.

At first, they were shocked, but then it dawned on them that there were countless others like them being brought in as well, and perhaps they were not as special as they had thought.

_ _

Finally, the ship docked, but before they could leave the lead envoy appeared before them again.

“What I’m about to tell you now might change everything you have believed until this mont. As for the human monarch who ca out of your world, the one you all believe to be a great figure—that has helped you all reach here.”

“That is a lie. He was rely one talented individual scouted by one of the great kings of the Origin World.” Waves of gasps spread the mont they heard that.

“He is dead, in fact, you see the entire Origin Realm is slowly devouring the smaller continents around it, growing larger and larger.”

“Every year, a pathfinder envoy is sent to identify worlds that are close to being devoured, and a hundred years ago it was discovered that the continent you all ca from would eventually rge with the Origin Realm.”

“In order to make it easier for us to recruit human geniuses when the ti ca, we allowed the five strongest mages back then to ascend to the Origin Realm, i know they would tell you all that it is one mage that ascended, but we were the ones who wanted that narrative as it pays us for one mage to be the hero than five, as that made the one exceptional, and all they asked back in return was for us to help their descendants beco royals.”

“That is what brought about the five royal clans and why they beca so powerful, though there were already stronger clans back then, you all call them the ancient clans now, we made sure the royal clans who knew the real secret remained in power.”

“Most tis, our envoys only find worlds that are already being dominated by the abyss races. Such worlds have failed in defending themselves, and when they rge with the Origin Realm, they only end up expanding abyss-race territory, which is sothing we humans should always do our best to avoid.”

In case you want to know why we brought the hundred of you here, it is to make you human lords, individuals who would preside over regions, so that when your world rges with the realm, so of you might have beco strong human lords, if not even human kings. That way, your loved ones would still have a place to stay, and you could also gather others under your protection, that is if the second dinsion haven’t already conquered your continent then though”

“Now, who is ready to get assessed?” the lead envoy asked after giving a long explanation that still did little to help them fully understand him, but one thing was clear, he had no intention of repeating himself or explaining any further.
