The mont Alec pressed the button, everyone in the car was jolted backward as the car's speed exceeded their expectations.

As Alec peered ahead, he noticed another truck on the opposite side that had successfully crossed the distortion, sparking his curiosity.
"My na is Alec, do you know how that car managed to cross to the other side?, cause we need to secure a spot in the top three before the others catch up," Alec inquired, the female mage and what remained of her team regarding him with weary smiles.
The rest of her team was too exhausted to explain things to him, but the female mage took it upon herself to shed so light on the situation.
"Top three? (She chuckled), There is no top three when he's in the lead, This race has been a sham from the beginning, it's not about making it into the top three; it's about defeating the number one racer, the Chronomancer, he's the driver of the golden thunderstorm truck,"
The lady revealed, as Alec noticed soone erging from the front of the golden monster truck, causing everyone else on his truck to vanish like dust, which ans they have never been real.
"And how are we supposed to secure a spot in the top three if he crosses the finish line ahead of us?, The Chronomancer always obstructs the finish line with a ti warp. Only when a driver as skilled as him erges and surpasses him can they truly break free from the curse he's placed on this city," the lady concluded.
A sudden realization washed over Alec.
The top three position was rely a facade, as it seems the only way to win this race was to cross the finish line first and defeat the Chronomancer as he would not allow anyone to cross the finish line if he finished first so that makes the rest of the Top 3 invalid as they never really cross the line ,
And standing before him was the very person he had been searching for, it all now beca clear to Alec why the city seed eerily empty—it had all been manipulated by the Chronomancer to serve as his gaming ground.
"We've been looking for you, Mr. Chronomancer!" Alec shouted, causing the female mage to pale and quickly retreat from Alec and his team.
The Chronomancer, who had been on the other side of the ti warp, the one they have been looking for, have been they finally identified, as he turned to face them, revealing a mask adorning his face.
"You've been looking for , i have no business with all of you, since you've challenged and lost, you'll all be trapped in a ti freeze here like the rest of the city," the Chronomancer uttered in a robotic voice, as he began walking away.
However, a peculiar sound caught his attention, causing him to turn back and witness Alec hurling a type of ti spell array scroll at the warp, resulting in its destruction.
"Get him!"
Alec commanded, swiftly jumping into his car and accelerating towards the finish line while the res kept him busy.
The Chronomancer attempted to impede the car's progress, but Lucas, Brandon, and Arthur had already closed in on him.
As the Chronomancer stepped back, he unleashed a formidable Tier 5 aura.
"Stop him before he can cast a spell," Lucas instructed, swinging his sword and releasing a powerful onslaught of sword Qi, as despite their restricted mana, their Qi could still be utilised as it remained intact.
"You pests are making angry," the Chronomancer's voice seethed as he assud a defensive stance and advanced towards them.
