Now reading: Chapter 511 511: Great Eight (2) from The Golem Mage, a Action novel by mystic dark.

As soon as the crowd learned that one of the Great Eight Academies from the previous year would be competing, the cheers escalated to an unprecedented level.

The atmosphere was electric, surpassing the excitent that had greeted the introduction of the Crimson Rose Academy.

"The mage leading them into this match is their Vice-Captain, Damien Sorin, a High Tier 5 Mage, accompanied by his sister, Carmilla Sorin, also a High Tier 5 Mage.

Following them are Soren Dragonmir, a Low Tier 5 Mage, Connor Lupus, a Low Tier 5 Mage, and finally, Kira Nightfang, a Low Tier 5 Mage," the referee announced, prompting the crowd to erupt into cheers once more as the mbers of the Bloodline Academy was listed.

"As expected of one of the Great Eight Academies, they're always keen to flaunt their formidable strength," a spectator comnted.

"Why shouldn't they show off? They have the credentials and the capability, but it seems they're looking down on the Crimson Rose Academy by not even fielding their Captain," another person retorted.

"What's all this talk about?, Bloodline Academy isn't like Bandit Academy, who couldn't secure a victory against a fallen academy like War God Academy, even with their best line-up, Bloodline Academy represents the pinnacle of elite geniuses; they placed third in last year's rankings," a third person chid in.

"They are far superior to the Crimson Rose Academy, just compare their realms and you would realise that every mber of Bloodline Academy is a Tier 5 Mage, they're so confident that they're fielding three mber of their reserves, if you ask , this battle will be over much quicker than anticipated."

Another individual joined the conversation, offering his perspective on the situation.

Alec, who had been eavesdropping with his acute hearing, found himself intrigued by the prospect of witnessing Bloodline Academy's strategy unfold.

Their confidence in holding back most of their main team and keeping their captain out of the spotlight was reminiscent of his own tactics with the War God Academy line-up by concealing the true capabilities of the main hitters of his team, while positioning himself to absorb all the attacks.

However, while Alec had chosen to reveal the his own abilities as the captain to create an aura of mystery around his team, Bloodline Academy had taken a different approach by deploying their Vice-Captain instead.

This move, supported by their reserves, signalled to Alec the value of having strong team mbers he could depend on, as he reflected on this, the referee concluded his announcent.

"Now, with the introductions complete, I declare the second match of today to begin!" the referee exclaid.

As the Do cover of the Colosseum began to ascend, shielding the mages of the two academies about to engage in combat.

As in the first fight, the environnt transford into a forest with castles at either end, the coins in the mages' hands levitated, morphing into their respective academy flags and embedding themselves atop the castle roofs.

From his vantage point outside, Alec could finally observe the battle as a spectator rather than a participant, he had to admit that the veil do, which displayed the action like a screen, was far more advanced than any HD television he had encountered in his forr world.

It was incredibly lifelike.

Once deployed, the mbers of Bloodline Academy displayed a relaxed deanor, in stark contrast to the serious attitude of the Crimson Rose Academy, whose top four mages cautiously advanced into the forest in formation.

Maria Darkbliss was left behind to guard their flag, equipped with a flare to signal the team in case of danger, anwhile, the mbers of Bloodline Academy were still in discussion.

"So, who's going to go and who's going to stay?, I can't wait behind; I really want to see so blood splashing," Carmilla exclaid, her excitent palpable at the re thought of bloodshed.

"Then who's going to stay behind? Because I really want to fight too," Connor argued, clashing with Carmilla to the point where their bickering beca re noise, prompting Damien to intervene.

"You all keep bickering about who will go and who won't, but the reality is that none of you will get the chance to face the mages from the Crimson Rose Academy," Damien said, nonchalantly cleaning his ears to show his detached attitude.

"What do you an we won't get a chance to face the Crimson Rose Academy?" Carmilla imdiately questioned her brother, whose face then broke into a sly smile.

"Our captain, Drakon, wants us to keep our abilities under wraps as much as possible, he observed the previous match while you all were relaxing and had a stroke of inspiration, so he has decided that if we're to win, it should be with only one person participating and doing so flawlessly, and I think we all know that I'm the only one reliable enough to take down all five mbers of the opposing team flawlessly," Damien explained, his innocent smile morphing into a confident smirk.

"So, see you all when our victory is announced," Damien said with a casual wave over his shoulder to his teammates as he strode into the forest.

Outside, the crowd was already in a frenzy, bewildered by Bloodline Academy's bold strategy of sending just one mage against the Crimson Rose Academy.

anwhile, the ladies in the crowd were swooning over Damien's handso, pale face as he walked into the forest with his hands nonchalantly tucked into his pockets.

His academy uniform was tailored to perfection, featuring red-coloured trims on the dark blue fabric.

With his sleeves rolled up to his elbows, he exuded an effortlessly cool vibe, his entire presence radiating charisma.

The four-mber team of the Crimson Rose Academy finally encountered Damien, who was approaching them alone, this put them on high alert as they scanned their surroundings, trying to discern where the rest of his teammates might be hiding.

Despite their vigilant search, their eyes revealed nothing, leaving them to face Damien, who stood confidently before them, alone.

"You don't need to worry about anyone else showing up; I assure you that I'm all you'll be facing, so let's get this started—bring it on," Damien said, removing his right hand from his pocket just to gesture for them to co at him.

The captain of the Crimson Rose Academy, Aria, stared at Damien in disbelief, her entire team taken aback as they realized why they had failed to detect any mana movent other than Damien's.

"Not only has your academy underestimated us by not fielding your best, but you also seek to humiliate us by coming here alone, do you really think that just because you're from one of the Great Eight Academies, you're unbeatable?" Aria said, her body trembling with rage and her irises blazing red.

She charged at Damien, who still had one hand casually in his pocket, as she closed in on him, she stomped her right foot on the ground to leverage her position for more power and thrust her fist forward, unleashing her full might.

Her entire body beca enveloped in flas as she launched herself at Damien, a massive flaming fist materialized and collided with him.

Bang!

A thunderous explosion echoed as the flaming fist tore through the trees, Aria waited anxiously for the smoke to dissipate, hoping that, at the very least, her all-out strike had inflicted so damage on him.

But she wasn't the only one in suspense; the entire crowd was on edge, eager to see the outco.

They believed the fight wouldn't end easily like that, yet Aria's attack had completely engulfed their aloof prince Damien, leaving the audience divided in their expectations.

On the other hand, Alec's eyes were wide open as he observed the way Aria had executed the Fiery Fist and Flas Aura simultaneously, it seed to him that she had used the fla aura to enhance the Fiery Fist, resulting in its impressive size.

Alec had never attempted to combine his fla aura with any other spells, except when casting a fla slash, however, witnessing this display sparked an idea in his mind.
