"Young lady Selene, I am but a humble rcenary unworthy of your attention, my services were hired to kidnap both Alec and Pale without any disturbances, but little did I anticipate the sensitivity and perceptiveness of the little mages under you," the skeleton masked figure confessed.
"The mont our harmless group of rcenaries entered, we were imdiately attacked, we had no choice but to defend ourselves," he continued, causing both Selene and Alec to be taken aback by his smooth and eloquent words.
If Alec hadn't been present during the incident, he might have questioned the truth of what occurred, that's how convincing the skeleton masked figure portrayed himself.
"Humph! Don't you dare use your disgusting abilities against ! Who do you think you are, calling yourselves rcenaries?, You Dark Guild mages are the ones I despise the most, it seems like your group only assus the title of 'rcenaries' when things aren't going your way," Selene retorted, with the skeleton masked figure playful deanour quickly fading.
"Well, you already know who I am, regardless, both Pale and Alec are invaluable to my client, and I have received a substantial paynt, guaranteeing their delivery," stated the skeleton masked figure confidently.
"I'd love to see you try," Selene challenged as she assud a defensive stance.
The water bubbles surrounding her moved in sync with her every motion, and her palms radiated a captivating blue water-like energy.
"You arrogant brats!" exclaid one of the Tier 6 Enforcers from the Ancient Zero Clan, growing fed up with being overlooked by Selene and the skeleton masked figure, despite their holding of Pale captive.
He felt they deserved a higher ranking in the situation, but Selene and the masked figure made them feel utterly insignificant.
Feeling his pride as a Tier 6 Mage being insulted, he charged towards the skeleton masked figure, intentionally avoiding Selene due to her unknown strength.
Their mission was clear: take Pale, eliminate Alec, and minimize conflict with the coordinator, any interference from the other students should result in their demise.
However, his attack wasn't solely driven by the need to avoid Selene.
He believed that the Dark Guild's involvent was the reason for their mission becoming chaotic, it was frustrating for him to see that the dark guild had not only been exposed during their infiltration but had also caused disruptions during the zero clan enforcers attempt to secure Pale, ultimately wasting their ti and leading to Selene confronting them before their escape.
"Idiot! While we both may be Tier 6 mages, we are not on the sa level," the masked figure retorted, glancing at the mid-ranked enforcer who clenched his fist, launching a barrage of ice swords towards him.
