599: Dual Flas 2&3.
Although the spectators perceived Alec’s movents as slow, but the top experts among them could discern a small gravity field surrounding him.
They couldn’t quite comprehend how Alec achieved this, but they were certain that he was manipulating the force-field to create a zero-gravity situation for himself.
This clever manipulation rendered Alec unaffected unlike his surroundings that was under the effect of the zero gravity, and this was all because he was using himself as a conduit to cast the spell,
Alec beca the center of a space that was slightly distorted, disrupting the flow of ti to so extent.
However, these subtle distortions were not easily discernible to the lower realm spectators, thus making it challenging to gauge the true speed at which Alec was drawing his blades.
In a captivating display, Alec tightly gripped his dual blades with the Bloody Changdao burning with his red flas and the Bone Katana blazed with black flas.
As he slowly unsheathed the both weapons, the audience was srized by the intensity of the flas that engulfed both blades.
The flas flickered with such ferocity that even before the blades were fully unveiled, it caught the attention of the new elder that had co to watch that match in the behalf of the Blaze Clan in disguise.
He tightened his grip on the chair’s handle, both in awe and concern at the strength of Alec’s flas, particularly the fact that Alec possessed the rare variant of black flas, which just shows his tip affinity for fla elent.
Then, within a split second, Alec, who previously appeared slow, slightly bent his legs into a stance.
As he swung his blazing red-flad Bloody Changdao first even with the way he held the Changdao inversely, he let his left hand moved horizontally to unleash a large flaming slash in the shape of a lunar eclipse towards the oncoming water breath.
The entire audience fell into silence, their collective gaze fixated on the point of impact where the flaming slash and the water breath collided.
Slish!
A hush fell over the crowd as the flaming slash cut through the water breath without a sound.
Gasps of surprise echoed throughout the arena, as the audience had anticipated a loud explosion.
However, instead of a fiery detonation, the flaming slash cleanly sliced the water breath in half, before it’s powers extinguished.
The two halves of the water breath veered off course, no longer aid at their intended target.
Bodhi’s mouth hung open in disbelief as he watched his prized final attack being effortlessly split before narrowly missing Alec.
Suddenly, a thunderous bang resounded as the split halves of the water breath bomb reached the ground, causing an explosive impact.
“Here I co!” Alec, who had remained in a stance all along, finally shouted.
He was propelled off the ground with incredible speed, utilizing the montum provided by the explosion.
Originally he had been intending to launch himself using self-erected pillars of earth, but Alec had a sudden burst of inspiration and decided to use the explosion to propel himself forward instead.
And at this mont, his speed was so exceptional that he blurred through the air, gliding above even Bodhi.
Who was standing on top of the water snake while holding his sword for balance.
“This guy is clearly a battle genius,” remarked one of the elders from the Marionette clan, who had co to witness the match.
This statent shocked many in the large VIP booth, as they were aware of the Marionette clan’s reputation and attitude.
They were known as one of the most feared ancient clans for good reason, rarely offering complints to other mages unless they truly believed the mage to be exceptional.
“Hmm!” Just when they believed they had witnessed enough, the Grand Elder of the Marionette clan chid in, adding her own perspective to the discussion.
As she nodded in agreent with the elder’s observations.
“He had accurately tid his opponent’s attack, despite both attacks being unleashed simultaneously, he created a small zero-gravity field around himself, bending the laws of physics to slow down his movents.”
“ This allowed him to precisely calculate the power needed to redirect the water breath away from him,” the Grand Elder explained.
“He chose not to blast off the attack in the air, as doing so would have not only backfired on him, but also on his opponent, who is already left with no mana.
Although I’m unsure why he seems to care about this other boy, Alec has displayed enough resilience and knowledge of his powers to capture my attention,” the Grand Elder concluded.
Though those in the VIP booth could comprehend the actions Alec had taken to split the attack, but they doubted their ability to articulate it in such a precise manner as the Grand Elder of the Marionette clan had did if asked.
In the air, Alec could be seen raising his Bone Katana with both hands gripping tightly.
After launching his last attack, he swiftly returned his Changdao to its scabbard.
Feeling the Changdao’s intense thirst for blood, Alec chose not to use it further, he locked away its urges for the ti being, fully intending to address it later.
However, at that mont, all eyes were on Alec.
Onlookers marvelled at his posture, elevated high above the water snake due to the powerful eruption from the explosion.
His Bone Katana blazed with black flas, captivating the attention of everyone in the vicinity.
With unwavering determination, Alec advised Bodhi to “Jump off!” but it had co out to Bodhi as a command as Alec words resonated like an authoritative order.
Without a mont’s delay, Bodhi swiftly complied, leaping off the head of the water snake while simultaneously freeing himself from its grasp.
The water snake wriggled its body, attempting to swing its tail at Alec.
However, now that Bodhi was no longer a concern, Alec had no reservations about the impending attack.
As a streak of black light flashed, akin to a descending black star, as Alec swiftly moved towards the colossal water snake’s strike.
In the blink of an eye, the audience’s view shifted to where the black star had landed and they ca in face with the back of Alec, who had seemingly teleported to the other side of the stage.
He deftly swung his blade with flawless precision and elegance.
The weapon glided seamlessly along its length on the scabbard, from where the bone blade started just before the bone hilt, all the way towards the end of the bone Katana.
Alec gracefully slid the Katana into its sheath, completing the srizing display.
At that very mont, explosions resonated throughout the arena.
The crowd watched in awe as the water snake was cleanly sliced in two, incinerated by the enveloping black flas before it even made contact with the ground, shocking them, and making them think which type of flas was the black flas that it was able to take out a water creature of the sa Tier so easily with all the elental disadvantages.
“Not only has Alec’s control over the earth elent reached the manipulation stage, but his fla elent seems to have reached a similar level.”
“ The only reason it hasn’t fully evolved is likely due to his avoidance of using the fla elent as frequently as he does the earth elent, it’s truly rare to see a mage harbour a resentnt towards an elent that offers them great potential,” the Grand Elder of the Marionette clan comnted once more, shocking those in attendance.
While they were already aware that Alec rarely utilized his fla elent due to watching him since the competition started, the Marionette Grand Elder seems to have deciphered all of this from just one match observation, leaving them all astounded.
“Why do those flas look so familiar and yet so destructive?
Black flas!
Where have I seen such a variant before?” The Dean of the Bloodline Academy muttered, his curiosity piqued.
“Rae Blaze was the last known wielder of the Hell Flas, what you are all witnessing today is the only Mage known with his bloodline, harnessing one of his prized variant fla abilities,” explained the Grand Elder of the Zero Clan.
“It’s a power desired by every mber of the Blaze Clan, yet none have been able to fully possess it, and to think they rejected this very child of Rae, calling him tainted blood.”
“ They must have been delusional, for his flas burn brighter than those of any younger generation they have produced in his era, showing that he has Rae’s blood running through his veins” added the Grand Elder of the Zero Clan, seizing the opportunity to take a jab at the Blaze Clan.
“Enough, Boreas!” a man covered in a hooded cloak exclaid, pounding his feet on the ground.
As a circle of golden flas started to materialize around him with him as a central point, but before it could expand it, Boreas, the Grand Elder of the Zero Clan, forcefully stomped his legs down, conjuring a powerful blue wave that instantly move to clash and cancelled out the golden fla ring.
“Finally, the Ancient Blaze Clan erges from their hiding, i can see that you all are still feeling embarrassed after one of your clan’s outcasts eliminated your core clan contenders from the competition,” Boreas taunted the hooded man, his voice filled with derision.
In that mont, it beca clear to everyone present that the hooded man was the Grand Elder of the Blaze Clan, given his retaliatory attack and the faint red strand of hair peeking out from beneath his hood.
“Now, let us all enjoy this match, we are not the MVPs of today’s events,” a sudden shift in atmosphere occurred as the Grand Elder of the Marionette Clan spoke up.
And the oppressive energies in the booth dissipated, leaving all those present staring at her in surprise.
They were well aware of her formidable strength, but they had underestimated her ability as they didn’t expect her to effortlessly negate their pressure aura.
And it dawned on them once again that the Marionette Clan might produce yet another mage of monarch level, a prospect that sent shivers down the spines of mbers from the other ancient clans.
However, the montary distraction was quickly dissolved as they turned their attention back to the battle ring.
The resounding cheers of the fans, who had been suppressed by the Vajra Academy supporters and certain students from other prestigious academies of the Great Eight, filled the air.
The crowd erupted with enthusiasm, chanting Alec’s na as he stood on the stage with his broad shoulders, weapons resting at his waist, and his hair fluttering in sync with the wind.
In that mont, he silenced all his detractors as he approached Bodhi, extending a hand towards him.
“You fought well,” Alec spoke, his voice carrying a hint of admiration and respect.
