607: Final Bout 607: Final Bout “I suppose I can no longer underestimate you,” Yama admitted, his tone tinged with surprise.
“When I first stepped onto this battlefield, I never anticipated that soone like you would have the ability to push to such an extent that I would need to unleash my special ability.”
“But you, Alec Gordons, had manage to exceed my expectations,” Yama continued, a mixture of admiration and determination in his voice.
“And believe i will rember you from this mont on, but now get ready to be defeated.” Yama concluded, as he spoke, Yama’s body started to radiate a luminous golden aura, transforming him into a figure that resembled a monk with a resplendent golden body.
Entering his stance, Yama began to move his hands in a fluid motion.
With each movent, a golden hand materialized in the air, surrounding him in a srizing display.
Yama continued the rapid succession of intricate martial arts movents, seemingly shadowboxing as he conjured countless golden palms into existence.
Alec patiently waited, anticipating Yama’s actions to reach their culmination, however, as he observed the increasing number of golden hands in the air with every subsequent movent, Alec realized that he might not survive if Yama were to unleash a full-fledged attack right now, so he started to prepare his own counter attack, using the flaming aura spell still active on his body.
“What’s the hold-up?
I never took you for the type to grant your opponent ti to gather more power for their spells, that’s more like Dragov’s style,” Yama remarked, indirectly taking a jab at Alec’s approach.
Because despite Alec’s considerable progress and achievents, his team was the only one not originating from the esteed Great Eight Academy, and it weighed heavily in Yama’s eyes.
Deep down, Yama refused to acknowledge Alec’s capabilities fully.
He remained confident in his ability to defeat Alec, believing that Alec would exhaust his mana reserves anyti soon, even if he couldn’t defeat Alec on ti.
Yama assud that Alec’s prior engagents against his team mbers had drained his Mana plenty and he suspected that Alec might be feigning strength, when he was running low on mana.
And all this he had put up in his head is why he didn’t hesitate to burn what remained of his Mana to use Ki control.
The only downside was that Ki control was ant to give him an edge over other elental manipulation.
However, he miscalculated one crucial detail, Alec never relied on sand control to attack him.
Instead, Alec focused on his fla elent, but it was his speed and swordsmanship that made it nearly impossible for Yama to end the match.
As no matter how powerful his attacks were, as long as he couldn’t land a solid hit on Alec in a vital spot, they would remain locked in a battle of endurance.
That’s why Yama was going all out with his next spell.
“And who said I was waiting for you to generate power for your attack?, why do you think everything revolves around you?
Or do you think you’re the only one who knows how to gather power for a final bang?” Alec said, his words shocking Yama, who scrutinized him carefully, his eyes flashing with golden light.
That’s when Yama noticed the fla elent particles in the air were slowly gathering around Alec.
And it seed Alec was channelling part of that energy into his Changdao through his left hand.
Though Yama wasn’t sure what Alec was doing, but he knew he couldn’t allow him to complete it, so he decided to strike first, confident in the advantage provided by the two hundred golden hands surrounding him, making him look like a small demigod.
