616: Back To The Jungle.

616: Back To The Jungle.

With the assistance of the new branch, Alec was able to relocate so of the demonic beast corpses closer to the Mana pond.

He closed his eyes and tried visualizing the pond absorbing the carcasses, causing him to witness the ergence of tentacles made of luminous light elents.

These tentacles stretched out from the sides of the pond, piercing into the bodies of the dead beasts and extracting their essence.

Within minutes, Alec observed over two hundred Tier 3 demonic beast corpses being drained until they turned to dust.

Lifting his head, Alec noticed a small bar flickering like it was about to go off and it was almost halfway filled.

He interpreted this as a asure of the pond’s progress towards the next level.

Intrigued, he instructed the free branch to bring another set of roughly three hundred corpses near the Mana pond.

Alec was keen to see how much the pond could devour before ascending to the next level.

The free branch obediently moved back towards its roots where the corpses had been left laying, and extended about twenty sub branches that curled around different demonic beasts.

These branches skillfully transported the corpses towards the Mana pool, the process continued until all three hundred corpses were positioned near the pond.

“Eat!” Alec commanded the pool, this ti he tried it orally instead of using his thoughts.

And like before, the Mana pool released its light elent tentacles to absorb and drain the demonic beast corpses, leaving only dust in their wake.

This ti, however, a brilliant flash of white light surrounded the pool after the process was complete.

Causing the atmosphere above the pool grew stronger, and the water within transford into a milky form.

Intrigued by the new developnt Alec approached and dipped his hand into the water.

Na: Heavenly Pool

Level: 2

Tier: Mortal

“Hmm!” Alec mused, placing his hand on his chin as he scrutinized the details of the Mana pool.

He discovered that its na was Heavenly Pool, and its current level was 2, likely due to his recent upgrade.

However, based on his understanding and the sensations he felt when he touched it, Alec recognized that it would be more effective for a Tier 2 or lower mages, a level he had clearly surpassed.

Now, Alec grasped why the system spirit emphasized the need for nurous corpses to level up the pool, contemplating the need to let go of over five hundred demonic beast carcasses to reach level two, he pondered how much more he would have to pay to eventually make the pool reach level 5, where it would truly start to benefit him, or even level 6.

“Look on the bright side, you won’t always have corpses littered around, you now have a corpse grinder, try your best to quickly upgrade it to the Mid Tier stage, there should be a surprise for you then,” the voice of the system spirit resounded in Alec’s mind.

As it seed to understand Alec’s concerns and aid to emphasize the advantages of the pool.

Having listened to the system spirit, Alec made the decision to let go of his focus on nurturing his little garden within the Amulet world,

This was because Alec viewed tending to the pond and the Primordial Tree as his own farming endeavours.

He likened it to sowing seeds, and reaping rewards, where by the rewards could be utilised to aid his cultivation growth.

“This Amulet seems determined to turn into a farr,” Alec complained, half-jokely.

With this realization, Alec prepared himself to step into the Beast Forest and comnce his daily quota of hunting.

He had confird the limited ti he could spend in this space and was determined to make the most of it.

Inside the beast forest, if he was killed, he would be expelled from the area.

However, if the limited ti allotted to him expired before his demise, he would also be forced out.

The sa logic also applied when he spent ti tending to the Primordial Tree in the void space, which he amusingly preferred to call “loot sorting” to downplay the mundane nature of the task.

Alec’s eyes nearly popped out of his head when he realized his system points had reached an all-ti low.

He had to grind relentlessly to accumulate such a substantial amount, and now it had disappeared in an instant.

Trying to rember why he was suddenly deprived of system points, Alec recollected the hefty cost of five hundred thousand points he had paid to evolve his earth affinity level to the manipulation stage.

Slapping his head in frustration, Alec hurriedly made his way toward the second door of the Beast forest.

As he was eager to start farming points again, since he was feeling quite vulnerable without an adequate reserve.

He never knew when the next ergency would arise, just as it had with the evolution of his earth elent, but Alec was determined to gather as many points as possible before his fla elent began to act up.

He had a strong intuition that it was only a matter of ti before that elent, too, would break through.

Alec couldn’t fathom how he was advancing rapidly in cultivation.

All he knew was that after reaching the Mid ranks and undergoing the system-assisted baptism that transford his entire body into a Mana pool, everything seed to effortlessly fall into place.

As Alec passed through the door, he closed his eyes and concentrated on envisioning the Golden Horned Drake in his mind.

Alec had a premonition and in that mont he was eager to put it to the test.

Suddenly, a deafening bang reverberated, causing Alec to exclaim in frustration as he was violently slamd onto the ground.

“Fuck!

He quickly turned on his back and glanced up, only to realize that the portal which had transported him had already vanished.

After a quick mont of regaining his bearings, Alec decided to survey his surroundings.

The beast forest had done more than just transform him into a formidable fighter, since he was constantly teetering on the edge of life and death, it had also honed his skills as a hunter.

As Alec explored the cave he had landed in, he imdiately noticed the intense heat radiating from its walls.

“Grrrll”

Suddenly, he heard a nacing growl behind him, slowly turning around, he ca face to face with a colossal mouth, gaping wide as it unleashed a deafening roar.

Bang!!

The resulting bang caused a powerful shockwave, propelling Alec forcefully out of the cave and into the forest just beyond.

Rolling on the ground, he swiftly regained his footing and assud a defensive stance.

Alec swiftly Summoned his Changdao and Katana into both hands, as he crossed them in front of him, even the demonic beast tattoos on his back seed to co alive, moving as if ready to jump out any second.

Alec squinted his eyes, fixating his gaze on the entrance of the cave, patiently awaiting the beast’s appearance.

He was not ready to run and expose his vulnerable back to the beast until he was confident in his inability to vanquish the creature inside the cave.

The beast’s footsteps echoed ominously as it gradually erged from the darkness of the cave, causing the ground to shake ever so slightly.

Finally, it stepped out into the light, towering over Alec from a higher vantage point.

As Alec laid eyes upon the beast, a mischievous grin curled upon his lips, before him stood another demonic creature, distinctly resembling the Golden Horned Drake that he had thought of before entering the Beast forest.

Excitent surged through Alec’s veins, and he couldn’t contain his exuberance any longer.

“Coeeeeeee!” Alec shouted with unbridled enthusiasm, his emotions exploding forth.

In an instant, he summoned all of his golems, forming an imposing army around him.

As he could sense the watchful eyes that surrounded them, and he was prepared for whatever awaited them in this encounter.
