801: The Chills.
Legion, anwhile, was still trading blows with the Mutated Tier 7 zombie, while all this was happening, a split second later, both Titan and Alec shot out of the crater.
Even as dust still clouded the battlefield, obscuring the view of the few human mages fortunate enough to witness Alec’s fight, he and Titan erged into sight the mont they soared upward.
The Mutated Strength-type zombie, which had been pumlling Legion with relentless strikes around, was suddenly forced onto the defensive as Alec and Titan joined the fray, their attacks flowed seamlessly, as if they were moving in perfect sync.
Yet, the strength-type zombie was not to be underestimated, it t their blows head-on, refusing to buckle under the relentless barrage, even as it was being overwheld from three directions, it held its ground, its skin seemingly hardening to withstand their strikes.
The low-rank mages standing at the city gates could only watch in awe, their eyes struggled to track the rapid movents of both Alec and his golems, as well as the mutated zombie.
At this level of combat, all they could perceive were bursts of colour each ti they clashed with the Mutated zombie.
Realizing that despite their combined assault, the zombie’s defence showed no signs of breaking, Alec decided to take extre asures.
He exchanged glances with his golems, both flanking him on either side, and sent them a ntal command to give him space and prepare a powered strike the mont he broke through the zombie’s defensive rhythm.
Without hesitation, they shifted their positions, feinting an attack from the flanks to montarily divert the Tier 7 zombie’s attention, in that instant, Alec bent slightly in mid-air before rocketing forward at incredible speed.
Beneath his feet, a blazing red fla ignited, a manifestation of his bloodlust rging into his flas to make it burn hotter than ever.
Alec blitzed through the air, shocking the zombie, he was still adjusting to his newfound speed after his agility stat reached the three-hundred mark, though he hadn’t yet reached his full potential, but he was gradually gaining control and beginning to tap into his maximum velocity.
The mutated Tier 7 zombie quickly realized that Alec was the true threat, while the two golems had only been a feint, it redirected its gaze toward Alec, as it stretched its body, with its muscles contorting and bulging as it increased its mass, temporarily boosting its already formidable defence.
This defensive skill was the only reason Alec and his golems hadn’t been able to cut it down yet.
Alec raised his bone katana high in his right hand while gripping his blood Wakizashi in an inverse grip near his waist with his left, the mont he entered striking range, he swung downward in a diagonal slash, aiming to cleave through the zombie’s neck.
The blade cut through the air so fast that all the zombie saw was a blur, it almost felt as if it were facing an Agility-type zombie of the sa realm rather than a human Mage, but it didn’t falter at this.
For two reasons, the zombie remained unfazed.
First, it felt Alec’s attack pattern was too clear, it could see exactly where he intended to strike, secondly it underestimated Alec, believing that despite Alec’s speed, he still lacked the raw power to break through its hardened defence.
As Alec’s katana descended, the zombie raised both arms above its head, bracing for impact, a loud crank rang out as the bone katana t its thick, reinforced skin.
The mont his blade connected, Alec pivoted, using his left foot to push himself to the side, the force of his katana swing had been enough to propel him even closer.
So now all was left to him as Alec twisted mid-air, he released his grip on the bone katana, which had lodged itself into the mutated zombie’s hardened skin, without hesitation, he shifted the blood Wakizashi from his left hand to his right, bringing the weapon upward in a rapid, rising slash aid at the zombie’s exposed side.
Puchi!
Alec didn’t let up, the long tear from his initial strike had exposed a weakness in the zombie’s defences, its joints and side were vulnerable whenever it casted its defensive skill almost like muscles from those parts where being moved to reinforce the front body defences.
Seizing the opportunity, he gripped the shorter Wakizashi with both hands and lunged forward, delivering a relentless barrage of stabs into the vulnerable area, his blade pierced deep with each strike, ignoring the agonized roars of the mutated zombie.
Just as he was about to continue his assault, a shadow lood in his peripheral vision, reacting instantly, Alec raised his right hand and activated a spell he rarely used in battle, one he had been pushing to the peak of its rank.
