803: The Chills 3.
From that mont onward, Alec and his golems were like tigers given wings after their first kill, especially Alec.
Not only did he slay the next Tier 7 zombie alone, but he had done so effortlessly.
This was largely because his bone katana had beco significantly stronger after absorbing the bones of a Tier 7 strength-type zombie, combined with Alec coating the blade in his black flas, it gave him a distinct edge.
The black flas burned through anything, and were nearly impossible to extinguish until it died out itself, and it also inflicted lasting damage even on high-rank mages, and it swiftly beca Alec’s go-to enchantnt, allowing him to wield his weapon mastery to its fullest.
For a zombie facing a mage with such speed and interdiate weapon mastery, it was nothing short of a nightmare.
As no matter how it attacked, Alec had his Earth elent reinforcing his defences, and even as he fought, he maintained a Stone Skin spell, which assimilated into his body to guard against scratches from the zombie.
With a deadly combination of skills, spells, and battle experience from fighting Tier 7 zombies earlier, Alec was able to dispatch his opponent swiftly, when he turned to check on his golems, he found they had already subdued their own target, with Titan holding its body in place.
Both golems had the battle power to take on a Tier 7 lifeform with their entire squad, so when they worked together, they were even more efficient than Alec, especially since they were competing over who would land the finishing blow.
Alec wasted no ti, tossing another pill to the next Tier 7 human mage, this one looked far more battered than the last, making Alec wonder if the pill would even be able to lock the virus into a dormant state.
Fortunately, it worked.
As Alec watched the mage digest the pill, he noticed the virus being pushed toward the right shoulder.
He didn’t feel entirely comfortable with that, after all it was still dangerously close to the head.
For now, though, the infection had been contained, and the entire right shoulder had turned pitch-black, pulsing with green vein-like patterns that beat like a second heart.
“I don’t care who you are, just make sure to survive and pay back,” Alec muttered, unaware of how fierce he looked to the middle-aged man staring at him, as not only was Alec holding onto two zombies without any fear of infection, but the way he handled them made it seem like the zombies should be afraid of him instead.
He was draining the blood from the corpses, strengthening the blood mist behind him.
Two bloody hands had materialized in the air, one gripping his Bone Katana and impaling one of the corpses to assimilate its bones, while the other held the Wakizashi near his waist.
This allowed him to accelerate the process, swiftly moving on to the next enemy.
When Alec turned toward the third infected mage, he saw a golden Naginata slicing through the air in a horizontal arc, severing one zombie’s head, while a sharp earth shard impaled another through its right eye.
Standing before the third infected High-Rank mage was the Third Elder of the Gordons clan, panting heavily as he caught his breath while watching Alec.
“Don’t you know how to do anything other than make worry?
I burned way too much mana just trying to get close to you,” the Third Elder grumbled between ragged breaths.
“You say that, but just by looking at you, it’s clear who should be worried about whom,” Alec replied, tossing two pills, one Tier 6 healing pill for the infected High-Rank mage and a Tier 6 cultivation pill for the Third Elder.
“You brat—” The elder was about to scold Alec but stopped short as the pills landed in his hands.
“This should help you recover a portion of your mana, just enough to survive.
Now hurry, we need to help the Fourth elder and leave the outsiders to fend for themselves,” Alec said, his voice unwavering.
“You owe my master a great debt, so don’t even think about dying or transforming into a zombie before paying it off, otherwise, we’ll just collect our profits from your corpse instead,” Legion said to the High-Rank human mage as Alec and the Third Elder were already flying toward the Fourth Elder.
Realizing Alec had forgotten his usual catchphrase, Legion made sure to say it for him.
The recovering human mage could hardly believe his ears, when he looked up, he saw Titan casually resting his massive mace on his shoulder with a light thud, making the ssage clear.
Faced with such stubborn golems, the High-Rank mage knew better than to test them in his weakened state.
He slowly nodded in understanding, satisfied with his response, Legion and Titan flew after Alec, while the mage joined the other two in retreating to the top of the city gates, as his battle was over.

The Type 3 ntal-Type zombie was beginning to lose its composure, from its perspective, this battle should have already been won.
Though the mid-rank zombie horde was still holding out thanks to the Type 2 ntal-type hiding in their midst adapting and issuing orders to minimize losses, but the high-rank battlefield was a disaster.
Even though the human fighting forces had been reduced by three, none of them had transford into zombies as it had hoped.
Alec had completely ruined its plan, the one great advantage of the zombie horde, the ability to turn fallen enemies into new soldiers—had been neutralized.
Instead, the zombies had suffered the heaviest casualties in the high-rank battlefield.
Now, with Alec and the Third Elder linking up to free the Fourth Elder, the Type 3 ntal-Type zombie finally accepted the bitter truth, it had lost this battle.
“Retreat!” it snarled, turning its back toward the space gate in preparation to escape.
The high-rank zombies still engaged in battle hesitated, stunned by the unexpected order, but as they took a mont to assess the battlefield, they realized the grim reality, they had lost several Type 3 mutated zombies.
There was no choice but to obey.
Bang!
A loud shot rang out just as the Type 3 ntal-Type zombie was about to pass through the space gate, but before the bullet could reach its target, the Peak Tier 7 Hunter-Type zombie, standing at its side, reacted instantly.
The sniper bullet had been fired at an incredibly high speed, yet the Hunter-Type zombie still managed to respond in ti, its tail lashed out, curling around the head of a nearby Tier 7 Strength-Type zombie, using it as a shield.
The Type 3 ntal-Type zombie shuddered in shock, looking up to see blood splattered across its body from the blown-apart head of its unfortunate protector.
Seeing how easily the Hunter-Type had averted the ntal-Type’s death, the human mages who watched sighed in frustration.
Alec, however, glanced at Legion with approval, that had been a good shot, unfortunately, it just hadn’t been enough.
The Hunter-Type zombie finally let the lifeless corpse drop and opened its right hand.
Sitting in its palm was Legion’s bullet, still emitting smoke, the Strength-Type zombie alone hadn’t been enough to fully stop the projectile; the Hunter-Type had also intercepted it, ensuring the zombie horde commander’s survival.
The Type 3 ntal-Type zombie glared at Alec, its gaze burning with hatred, blaming him for its failure to land a win.
“Don’t co back, or I’ll get you next ti.” Alec warned.
Without a response, the ntal-Type zombie finally stepped through the gate, with the remaining Type 3 mutated zombies following after it, while the mid-rank zombies scrambled to retreat, while being pursued by the Mid rank human mages.
—
Minutes later…
“We won!” Alistair roared at the top of his lungs as the last of the mid-rank zombies fled.
A triumphant cheer erupted from the human mages, their bodies still stained with bad blood, but their spirits soaring in victory.
It was truly their victory, as in contrast to last month’s battle, not only had there been fewer casualties, but the low-rank zombies had been completely wiped out.
Though the mid-rank battlefield had been a struggle, but many of them had still been slain by the Gordons.
In the high-rank battlefield, a total of eighteen Type 3 mutated zombies had been killed out of the thirty that appeared, while the human mages of Estonia City had only lost five and had four infected, with the virus dormant now.
This was a great win.
