Yet Alec remained utterly calm, not out of indifference but because of his unshakable confidence in Midnight, he knew this fight wasn’t solely about the realm of the beasts but also about the strength of the soul itself.
And while the light wolf shone brighter in rank, the shadow wolf’s form appeared more solid, its presence denser and sharper, this resilience was the result of Alec feeding it countless souls of other shadow wolves, fortifying its essence far beyond what a typical low Tier 7 beast should possess, the battle has been rigged from the start.
When the fight began, the light wolf initially dominated, using its higher realm to knock Midnight down, but each ti Midnight rose, it returned more ferocious, sinking its fangs deeper into the light wolf, every bite draining its opponent, weakening it bit by bit. Before long, the light wolf faltered, its strikes losing precision, its resistance crumbling.
In the end, the shadow wolf clamped down with a decisive bite, devouring the light wolf’s soul entirely, the once-blinding white form dissolved into darkness, consud by Midnight’s relentless hunger.

“You should have just left while you had the chance,” Alec said coldly, glaring at the wolves.
The lead wolf snarled back, lips curled into a vicious sneer.
“You think you’re frightening without that bull on your corner again? For daring to interrupt our hunt, you’ll pay dearly!” With that, all four wolves lunged in unison, striking from every direction, their leader targeting Alec directly.
Alec imdiately tried to summon Midnight, his shadow wolf, but instead of the familiar of the dark aura and fur hovering him, a notification window flared before his eyes:

Still, a spark of madness lit his eyes, if he succeeded in slaying all four wolves within the hour, Midnight would beco sothing unprecedented: a hybrid wolf of shadow and light, a creature far stronger than its current race could ever dream of becoming.
And for that prize, Alec was willing to risk everything, however if he failed, Midnight would still ascend into the Tier 7 realm, but only as a pure Shadow Wolf, not the mutated hybrid Alec craved, that possibility alone lit a fire under him.
With fresh determination, Alec snapped into command mode, his voice cutting through the chaos.
“Titan, front line, keep that wolf off ! Legion, Magnito, intercept the one lunging from the east! Hive Queen, Saint, take the third! Butcher, Oni, Hunter, the last one is yours. I want it dead as fast as possible!”
His orders ca sharp and fast, with the golems responding instantly, scattering into formation as Alec kicked off the ground, retreating a step while Titan raised his massive shield in front of him, Titan layered an imnse ice shield across the line for good asure.
But the Light wolf leader didn’t slow, it sprinted straight through the frozen barrier as though it weren’t even there.
Alec’s eyes widened as he watched the creature’s body phase clean through solid ice before its claws slamd into Titan’s chest, hurling the giant golem backward.
“Dammit! Why the hell can this bastard phase through physical matter?!” Alec cursed, already moving, realizing Midnight was locked in evolution, he had no choice but to summon his second bloodline.

Golden scales erupted across his body, gleaming brighter than ever, his Bloody Changdao extended in his grip as he lunged, aiming a piercing strike at the wolf, but before the blade could land, the beast snapped its jaws wide—not to bite, but to gather light particles in the air powered by a pull like skill.
Brilliant particles swirled into its maw, condensing into a blazing sphere, a light beam bomb.
“Shit!” Alec spat, flipping his stance, he turned with his back facing the light wolf leader, with jagged, tallic spikes protruding out of his back down to his elongated draconic tail which lashed out in the last second.
His scales glowed with renewed intensity, but there was no ti to marvel at the new mutations he had done using his bloodline points, all that mattered was bracing himself for what was coming.
BOOM!!
The world erupted in blinding light as the wolf unleashed its devastating blast.
The light beam struck Alec squarely, blasting him backward more than ten ters. Yet, instead of the searing agony he had braced for, he felt only a jarring force reverberate through his body.
His golden scales which had been hardened and enhanced from their recent mutated upgrade, absorbed the brunt of the impact, the shimring Golden scale dispersed most of the light’s destructive energy, leaving Alec rattled but far from broken.
His boots dug trenches into the ground as he skidded to a halt, smoke rising from the faint scorch marks etched into his glowing scales, he flexed his shoulders, testing his body, and a faint grin tugged at his lips.
Golden light flickering ominously across his lesser draconic form.
