Ling Feng and Li Fei’er exchanged a glance, both showing a very interested expression.
Then Ling Feng looked at the old man and asked, "Old man, would you be able to introduce to this senior master?"
He thought the old man would be eager to recruit new mbers and would agree without hesitation, but unexpectedly, the old man shook his head, "That wouldn’t work, the senior master is currently in seclusion!"
"Oh? Why is that?" Ling Feng asked.
The old man spoke casually, but Ling Feng felt things weren’t so simple; it seed the senior master didn’t want to et anyone!
Or perhaps he couldn’t et anyone!
They must have a set of defensive chanisms.
Thinking of this, Ling Feng uttered an "Oh," "Alright, thank you for your enthusiasm, old man!"
These words were almost a polite way to show soone out, but evidently, he underestimated the old man’s enthusiasm. Not only did the old man not leave, but instead asked, "If you’re free, after breakfast, would you like to follow to our hall for a visit?"
"No, thanks, old man, we both have things to do later, maybe another ti!" Ling Feng replied with a smile.
"Oh, alright then."
The old man showed a disappointed expression, then stubbornly asked, "No problem, young man, leave a contact, I’ll give you a call later, and we’ll arrange another ti!"
"Sure."
Ling Feng nodded, thinking he might as well help fulfill the old man’s wish, curious about how enthusiastic he really was!
So he gave out his new number.
The old man earnestly noted it down, then stood up saying, "I won’t disturb your al anymore."
Ling Feng smiled, feeling a bit speechless in his heart, thinking even though he said he wouldn’t disturb them, he had already done so for almost an hour!
"Probably, this old man doesn’t seem like a bad person, just brainwashed, he thinks he’s helping us!"
Ling Feng chuckled helplessly, then added, "Who knows what strange things will happen next, be ntally prepared!"
"That’s alright, nobody can brainwash !" Li Fei’er laughed.
Talking aside, they returned to the building downstairs, then rode an electric scooter towards Puxin Temple, as searched on the map.
Upon researching, they found the temple had existed for nearly two hundred years, having gone through several calamities. As people’s living standards improved, the incense here started to flourish again.
A few years ago, Puxin Temple already had nurous worshippers and visitors, and recently, it beca fully packed, gaining quite a reputation in the provincial city.
"Not all of them might be followers, if that’s the case, Puxin Temple would be quite impressive!" Li Fei’er comnted.
"Why don’t we find out by going inside!"
Ling Feng said this, holding her hand as they walked towards the entrance.
Following the crowd, they entered the gates of Puxin Temple.
The courtyard was large, but with bustling tourists, it seed relatively cramped.
After observing for a while, Ling Feng noticed that these people seemingly weren’t tourists, based on their deanor!
Upon entering, they all headed towards the rear, paying little attention to the surrounding environnt and scenery.
And the area of Puxin Temple was quite substantial, upon entering the gate, one would see Daxiong Hall first, and there was a small door leading to the rear, with most people heading that way.
Ling Feng glanced at Li Fei’er, and the two exchanged a look, then followed in that direction.
After passing through the small door with the crowd, Ling Feng saw a much larger courtyard!
Here, the open area was already filled with people!
So sat on prayer mats, while others sat directly on the stone slabs with nothing beneath them.
Though the weather was a bit chilly, these people were completely unfazed.
Seeing those who entered before them searching for places to sit, it was evident they intended to sit in the courtyard, so Ling Feng led Li Fei’er to a corner.
Taking advantage of nobody watching, he took out a cushion from the Space Bracelet for Li Fei’er to sit on.
But upon seeing this, Li Fei’er smiled, "No need, uncle, my constitution isn’t bothered by this little bit of chill."
"It’s better to use it, at least it’s comfortable."
Ling Feng smiled, taking her hand to the corner of the wall, then sat down, "Let’s wait, sothing might happen soon."
"Alright!"
Li Fei’er nodded, took the cushion, placed it on the ground, and then sat down.
Although she said she didn’t need it, sitting on the cushion made her feel warm inside.
As they sat down, others who entered afterward also searched for places to sit, as the plaza beca densely packed with people, seemingly over a thousand!
And more people continued to enter!
Seeing such a lively scene, Ling Feng couldn’t help but click his tongue in secret. If these were indeed Puxin Temple followers, they certainly were impressive!
After about half an hour, the courtyard was completely filled with people, and those who entered later nearly had no room to stand.
Just then, a few monks erged from the opposite house in the courtyard, loudly instructing, "Those arriving later should not co in, wait outside for the afternoon crowd to co in!"
Those people obeyed, upon hearing this, they imdiately stopped squeezing into the courtyard and turned to leave instead.
A few minutes later, no one remained near the entrance, and those close to the door reached over to close it.
After a while, escorted by several young monks, an old monk wearing an earthy yellow Kasaya slowly erged.
The presence of the monk instantaneously quieted the courtyard!
After appearing, the old monk looked around the scene and said in a deep voice, "Ladies and gentlen, we et again!"
His voice was loud, even distant listeners could hear the old monk’s words clearly.
Ling Feng frowned upon hearing, knowing the monk wasn’t ordinary, but one with cultivation!
Otherwise, a normal person wouldn’t be able to project their voice across such a large crowd.
