Xiao Xiao was enjoying a feast and lifted her head upon hearing Ling Feng’s words: "What is spatial equipnt?"
"It’s a very small item, like accessories on the body, but inside there’s a huge space that can fit this giant beast entirely!" Ling Feng explained.
"Oh, isn’t that a Space-capturing Device?" Xiao Xiao asked.
"What? You have that kind of thing here too?" Ling Feng asked.
"Yes, I’ve heard of it!" Xiao Xiao nodded.
Ling Feng perked up and sat upright: "Where can I find such a thing?"
He was used to carrying spatial equipnt, and suddenly being without it felt really uncomfortable.
Xiao Xiao thought for a mont and then said: "I’ve heard that hundreds of years ago, a treasure called the Space-capturing Mirror appeared in the Xuanling Realm, capable of accommodating everything inside. But later, it was taken by the Dragon Clan, and it reportedly got lost on the way."
"Is it a mirror?"
Ling Feng nodded upon hearing this, and then smiled: "It’s quite unfortunate that it got lost. If it’s still around, I hope I can find it; otherwise, carrying things is really quite troubleso!"
"Don’t worry, there must be plenty of fruit in the forest. Even if we don’t eat at, we can survive on those fruits for a few days!" Mu Mu said.
"But my habit is not to waste good things; it’s best to take everything with us!"
Ling Feng smiled wryly and then said, "But since conditions don’t allow it, we’ll have to endure."
The three of them ate the roasted at skewer after skewer, and soon they had eaten all the at skewers.
In the end, Xiao Xiao and Mu Mu were completely satisfied, sitting on the ground patting their bellies, faces full of comfort and ease.
Ling Feng looked at the two and asked with a smile: "You’re not planning to take a nap after eating, are you?"
"I would love to, but let’s not waste ti and continue deeper in!" Xiao Xiao said.
"Yes, we’ll hunt during the day and absorb Xuan Qi at night. Let’s strive to break through our realms quickly, and then we should head back!" Mu Mu said.
"Alright!"
Ling Feng knew his ti was limited, so it was best not to waste too much in the forest; it was better to keep a quick pace.
After extinguishing the charcoal on the ground, Mu Mu and Xiao Xiao gathered their belongings and followed Ling Feng deeper into the forest.
The surroundings were silent, void of any beast roars or bird calls.
The quieter it was, the more unsafe it felt to Ling Feng, indicating that sothing powerful might be lurking nearby.
Despite the previous giant beast being easy to deal with, Ling Feng dared not be careless.
If they were bitten by a fierce beast, they could face total annihilation.
So Ling Feng kept in high alert, holding his Blade of the Apocalypse as he slowly walked deeper into the forest.
Just then, a rustling sound ca from his feet, Ling Feng looked down to find a thick snake slithering past him!
The snake moved quickly, didn’t stop in front of Ling Feng and the others, and went straight into the bushes ahead.
Ling Feng was puzzled, wondering why it didn’t attack him; what was happening?
Even outside the Dark Forest, snakes would attack people desperately, but it was different here?
While feeling puzzled, rustling sounds ca again.
Then Ling Feng and the two girls saw a startling scene!
Dozens of snakes, big and small, in various colors crawled through the grass, ignoring the three of them and heading straight into the bushes ahead.
Ling Feng was stunned, thinking about what was going on?
"Could there be sothing more enticing than the three of us ahead, causing these snakes not to attack us?" Xiao Xiao asked.
"That’s a possibility indeed!"
Ling Feng nodded and gripped the Blade of the Apocalypse: "Let’s go check it out!"
The three of them quickly moved forward, passing through a thicket, and saw the distant snake shadows disappearing.
Ling Feng leaped up, but in an instant returned to the ground, telling Xiao Xiao and Mu Mu: "Stay close, let’s see what’s going on!"
"Alright!"
The two girls nodded promptly and stepped up to follow him.
The three of them followed the snakes through several bushes, finally seeing a large pit appear in the distance.
This pit was as big as two basketball courts, wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, resembling a porcelain bowl.
The three exchanged glances, seeing the snakes crawl into the pit, and approached the edge with curiosity.
Upon looking over, Xiao Xiao and Mu Mu imdiately scread and pulled back their heads!
The bottom of the pit was full of snakes!
Snakes of various colors and kinds were squeezed together, forming a massive, writhing mass at the pit bottom.
"Oh my god, how terrifying!"
Xiao Xiao and Mu Mu embraced each other, faces full of dread.
Being girls, fearing snakes seed to be their nature; just one glance and they were already losing their composure.
Ling Feng didn’t feel anything, looking at the pit with a thoughtful expression.
So many snakes gathering together was an extrely rare phenonon!
Since it wasn’t winter, there was no need for hibernation; gathering together like this was quite strange.
Ling Feng pondered and then turned to the girls: "You two find a tree to climb up; I’ll figure out how to drive these snakes away!"
"Huh? Why?" Xiao Xiao asked.
"I suspect there’s sothing at the pit bottom!"
Ling Feng said confidently and then smiled: "Otherwise, they wouldn’t all gather here!"
"Could it be sothing valuable?" Mu Mu asked.
"Probably!"
Ling Feng nodded: "I have a feeling!"
Back on Earth, he had quite a bit of experience seeking treasures, encountering all sorts of bizarre situations, including scenes with so many snakes.
There’s usually sothing unusual in such situations; not checking the pit bottom would leave him unwilling!
Seeing his determination, Xiao Xiao and Mu Mu nodded, turned to look around, found a tree over a ter in diater, and climbed up.
Once they were settled on the tree, Ling Feng turned to gather so flammable materials nearby.
He then fashioned over a dozen torches, lit a fire, and ignited them all.
With a bundle of torches in hand, Ling Feng took a deep breath and threw them all into the pit!
The torches fell into the mass of snakes, causing imdiate commotion.
But there were just too many snakes—thousands—that these torches simply weren’t enough to deal with them.
In just a mont, the torches were buried by the snakes, extinguishing the flas.
"..."
Ling Feng was at a loss, thinking it was really difficult to manage; if he had a few barrels of gasoline, pouring it into the pit would ensure all the snakes were burned to death!
If not killed, they’d at least be scorched to death!
However, where in this forest could one find gasoline?
It was simply a dream.
