Chapter Ninety-Two: Agreent Reached
"I’m going to make a fortune!"
Before Ling Feng got out of the car, that was all he was thinking about!
It wasn’t until he entered the shop and Wang Laogen saw his bloodshot eyes that he jumped in shock and asked, "Young man, what’s happened to you?"
Only then did Ling Feng’s mind clear up. Shaking his head to dispel the crazed thoughts in his brain, he said with a smile, "It’s nothing, I’m here to talk to you about a partnership."
"Alright, please follow inside!"
Wang Laogen was very polite, gesturing for him to join him.
As Ling Feng followed him into the back, he discovered that the dicine shop had an inner room, which turned out to be a spacious reception room complete with a sofa, a coffee table, and even a liquor cabinet.
After sitting down, he said directly to Wang Laogen, "My na is Ling Feng, you can just call by my na from now on!"
"Sure, I went to the hospital today and heard that the patient from yesterday almost didn’t make it because of his severe injuries. Luckily, you stepped in and allowed him to be discharged today. Your dical skill is simply miraculous!" Wang Laogen said.
Ling Feng waved his hand dismissively, "Let’s skip the pleasantries. I want to know, if I provide you with enough dicine, how soon can I expect a return?"
His straightforward approach sowhat surprised Wang Laogen, who after a mont of astonishnt, regained his composure and said calmly, "At most, a week!"
"It’s not just that Continuation Pill I have!" Ling Feng looked him in the eyes.
Wang Laogen let out a sly chuckle, "And I’m not just a dicine shop owner!"
Upon hearing this, Ling Feng imdiately furrowed his brows, "Then what else are you?"
"I’m also a retired professor from the provincial dical university, with students all over the province, most of whom are now chief physicians!" Wang Laogen squinted, his voice tinged with pride.
"Really?"
Ling Feng was surprised, he hadn’t expected to find such a prominent figure in the small Hua County town!
"Remove the word ’if’, and that’s the case!" Wang Laogen stated.
But Ling Feng still found it hard to believe, and he asked earnestly, "If you’re so impressive, why didn’t you stay on after retirent and instead ca back to the county town to open a small traditional Chinese dicine shop?"
He wasn’t uninford, especially concerning the dical industry; a truly skilled dical expert would still be invited to work as a specialist by major hospitals, even after retirent!
Wang Laogen chuckled, "I have my reasons, which I don’t wish to explain!"
"Then let’s leave it at that, I’m not inclined to pry into others’ privacy. You have the sales channels, I have the dicine, we can cooperate!" Ling Feng nodded.
As long as they shared the sa goal, there was no need to fuss over details. As long as the money was coming in, that’s all that mattered!
Then Wang Laogen looked at him and said with a smile, "Good! I like this kind of straightforwardness. Shall we sign an agreent?"
"No need, I’ll give you the dicine, you sell it, then pay , it’s that simple!" Ling Feng stated.
A flicker of appreciation shimred in Wang Laogen’s eyes; he hadn’t expected Ling Feng to be so direct. He hesitated for a mont then nodded, "With that kind of daring alone, I know I’ve bet on the right person. From now on, the profits from the dicine sales will be split seventy-thirty, with you getting the larger share."
"Agreed, I need the money urgently. I’ll start making the elixir when I get back and deliver it to you tomorrow," Ling Feng said as he stood up.
Wang Laogen quickly stood up as Ling Feng was about to leave, "Are you heading out already? Do you have the raw materials?"
"I can go pick herbs on the mountain!" Ling Feng said.
Wang Laogen gave a slight smile, "I have so ready here, why waste ti going up the mountain?"
Ling Feng slapped his forehead, realizing that was true!
His mind was a ss, and he missed so details. If there were ready-made herbs available, why bother taking the ti to go up the mountain?
With that thought, he promptly said, "Okay, then I’ll take so from you, and we can split the profits sixty-forty!"
Wang Laogen’s eyes sparkled upon hearing this, and he said with a smile, "Good, good, good!"
Ling Feng thought he had agreed, but to his surprise, the old man continued, "I wasn’t wrong about you, lad. You’re capable and not greedy for wealth, and just for that, I have nothing else to say to you!"
"What do you an?" Ling Feng asked, puzzled.
Wang Laogen smiled slightly, "It’s still seventy-thirty. I will supply you with an unlimited amount of herbs, no other reason but because you are reliable!"
Those words shocked Ling Feng, and at the sa ti, he felt deeply touched. He had just seen the cold reality of the world with Chen Gang and now found that not everyone was like him, seeing only profit.
They say if you give an inch, I’ll return a foot. Moved by the gesture, Ling Feng also knew this was an enormous opportunity. Without hesitating, he nodded and said, "Give three days, and I’ll present you with the dicinal pills!"
"Alright, within ten days, I will definitely give you a large sum of money!" Wang Laogen said with a laugh.
Returning to the front shop, Ling Feng got to work, gathering all the necessary herbs by himself. Then he bowed slightly to Wang Laogen, "Your help to is like sending coal in a snowstorm. If I manage to overco this challenge, I will surely thank you generously!"
"No need for thanks; this is a mutually beneficial business. Saying too much would just be a burden. Go on, I’m waiting for your dicinal pills!" Wang Laogen said with a laugh.
Ling Feng didn’t insist, turned around, and left the herbal dicine shop, riding his tricycle out of Hua County.
When he got back to his ho in Shiliu Village, he bolted the door behind him, dove into his room, and started processing all the herbs he had. In the end, he produced six to seven types of elixirs.
Although they were only basic, they had miraculous effects, incomparable to the drugs sold in the market.
Ling Feng didn’t know how much money these elixirs would bring, but he had taken the first step. As long as Wang Laogen found a market for them, he could just wait and count his money.
After making the elixirs, Ling Feng went to replenish the animals’ food and then went to the head of the village. He noticed more mushrooms the size of chicken eggs sprouting, estimating that he could harvest over a hundred pounds more the following morning.
Adding it up, he had nearly two hundred thousand Yuan at hand, but for what he wanted to do, this money was just a drop in the ocean!
By now, the sky had darkened. Ling Feng stood at the edge of the field lost in thought, completely oblivious to soone slowly approaching from behind.
It wasn’t until Li Shiyun stood next to him and asked softly, "What’s wrong?" that Ling Feng ca back to his senses and turned to look at her.
In Li Shiyun’s eyes was full of concern, her gaze towards him as deep and concentrated as two pools of autumn water.
Seeing her, Ling Feng couldn’t hold back any longer and hugged Li Shiyun tightly, saying in a low voice, "I just realized how insignificant I am!"
Li Shiyun didn’t struggle, she just sighed softly, "You are not insignificant at all. You’ve done so much in such a short ti; no one can compare to you!"
"But it’s still not enough!" Ling Feng said.
Li Shiyun wrapped her arms around his waist, "Is ti not on your side? If you need, I can help you."
Ling Feng had only been seeking emotional support, wanting to vent his frustration to her. But after hearing what she said, a sudden idea struck him. He released his embrace and looked at Li Shiyun’s face, asking, "What did you say?"
"I said, if you want to achieve your goals in a short period, I can help you!" Li Shiyun stated calmly.
