“Did you two steal her money or not? Just give it back, if you did!”
“Exactly, you won’t be going anywhere if you end up in the police station.”
The man was so angry that veins were about to pop out of his forehead. “You must believe us. We are honest people from the countryside. We had never mitted any kind of crime our entire life!”
“All we did was bump into her accidentally. I am carrying a kid in my arms. Both of my arms were taken up. How could I steal money from her?”
The woman continued to wipe her tears away. “Exactly, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, you must believe us. We didn’t do anything bad. We wouldn’t even have e to the capital city, if my son was not so sick.”
So she had run into a couple who liked to act.
Welp, this was interesting.
Right when the passersby were just about to shift their sympathy back to the couple, tears started rolling down Tong Xuelu’s cheeks.
Her tears looked like little golden beads on her face like fresh morning dew on a blooming, fragrant flower.
In addition to siding with the weaker side, it is also human nature to gravitate toward those who are more attractive, no questions asked.

The two almost dropped dead from anger when they heard that.
Tong Xuelu almost busted out laughing.
It was quite fun to apply the blaming the victim strategy on evil people.
Seeing that things were starting to get out of control, the couple quickly asked for mercy again.
“Girl, we did not steal your money. Did you drop it elsewhere? How much have you lost? Maybe we can help you make up a little bit of it. What do you say?”
Hearing her man say that, the woman also nodded quickly. “Right, right. We won’t spend time arguing with you anymore. It is just a bad day for us. We have a few more children at home, and my mother-in-law broke her leg in a fall a while back. We must get back today!”
Oh, now they are switching up their strategy.
But Tong Xuelu wasn’t going to let them succeed no matter what.
She shook her head and said, “No can do. You have either stolen my money or you have not. If you didn’t steal my money, I definitely cannot take your money.”
“And since you said that you have not stolen my money, let’s make a quick trip to the police station. If you are innocent, the police will be able to prove your innocence, and I will apologize to you and repay you.”
The man panicked. “No, we have a train to catch! We will miss it if we don’t get there on time!”
The woman stared at Tong Xuelu with her triangular eyes. “Girl, are you just picking on us because we are villagers and you are a capital city native? We have already said we will help you get back some of what you have lost. Why are you still doing this to us?”
Nevertheless, Tong Xuelu insisted on going to the police station.
Some of the passersby started to feel that Tong Xuelu was being unreasonable.
The couple were already down on their luck, and they had promised to pay her. Why would she still not drop this issue?
They would not be able to get back home if they missed their train!
Tong Xuelu didn’t care about the passersby. Her eyes rolled, and she said, “A relative of mine has a jeep. I will have him take you back if you miss your train!”
