Chapter 405 - She must get him to marry her.
Tong Xuelu was making tasty food for Uncle Zong in the Wen’s and Uncle Zong was helping her out in the kitchen.
Old Mr. Wen and mander Xiao were bickering in the living room and the place was very lively.
Sun Manrou, on the other hand, felt like she was in hell.

The director quickly avoided her hand that was reaching out for him and said coldly, “Hurry up and leave. Don’t make me have someone drag you out.”
Seeing that the publisher had already taken care of Sun Manrou, Xiao Yang turned and left. He then brought Yang Guojie with him to Red Star Restaurant.
Chef Yang, after learning what his son had done, picked up the broom and laid it on him. “You awful son. Who told you to do such an immoral thing?”
He was mad that someone as young as Tong Xuelu had taken the first place but it never crossed his mind to retaliate in such a dirty way.
They might have lost, but would still lose with their heads held high.

Wen Rugui’s trip was delayed due to some last minute things at the research center.

When he passed by a large tree, the girl sitting under the tree suddenly stood up and started walking toward him.
Half way over, she let out a soft cry and fell on the ground. “rade Wan, I’m Sun Manrou. I think I have twisted my ankle. Do you think you can e and help me up?”
Sun Manrou knew that she was done for when she was fired from her unit.
But she felt unreconciled. She was pretty and talented. She was every bit as good as Tong Xuelu.
To save herself, her only option left was to marry Wen Rugui.
As such, she had been waiting for him at this very spot since she had returned to the military pound. She pretended to have fallen and, as soon as Wen Rugui went to help her up, she’d tear her own clothes and said that he tried to take advantage of her.
Had Wen Rugui wanted to keep his career and his reputation, he would have no choice but to marry her!
Sun Manrou felt that her plan was fool proof. Everything was set and all there was left was for Wen Rugui to e and help her up.
