"Brother Sol, you don’t have to do this. We should be the ones to handle our Sect’s matters. If you kill an Elder of the Academy for our sake and then sothing goes wrong..."
Dae Han shook his head. He just didn’t see why Sol should be the one to do this.
"That’s right, Sol."
Mar-Dule said.
"Do you even understand what you’re suggesting?"
Mar-Dule placed his hand next to his mouth and whispered loudly.
"You want to kill an Elder of the Academy! That seems crazy to , Sol."
Seeing how everyone was worried about him, Sol smiled warmly.
"Then how can we get back the Yin and Yang Celestial Stones? I don’t see another way."
"First of all, let’s get sothing out of the way. Do we even need to get back those treasures? Is it worth the risk? We already have to be careful because of what’s going on outside."
Yoon-Jae asked, and Dae Han imdiately retorted.
"Of course, it’s important we get them back! They’re one of our Sect’s Founding Treasures and probably the only ones remaining."
"Not my Sect."
Mar-Dule muttered under his breath, but Yoon-Jae frowned at him.
"Why do we have to sit back and watch as they’re stolen again? I can’t take it, and I refuse to allow that bitch to leave this city with them."
Everyone could see that Dae Han’s grudge against this Elder Hyun-Joo ran deep. It might even be more than just the fact that she stole the Yang Celestial Stone from him. After all, she had chased and tried to kill him for two weeks, even after getting it.
Sol nodded.
"We’re in this together, all the way. Whenever soone from the group faces a problem, we tackle it together as friends."
"We just t each other, though. I don’t know if I want to be involved in killing an Elder of the Academy for treasures from a Sect I don’t know about."
Yoon-Jae turned to glare at Mar-Dule.
"Then just leave. At this point, you might as well go and tattle on us."
Mar-Dule turned to glare back at Yoon-Jae.
"Bastard, who do you take for? Do you think I would do sothing like that?"
"Well, then just shut up. You’re not the one taking any risk in this plan. Sol is the one offering to kill an Elder."
"Guys, stop, what are you doing?"
Sol said as he stepped between Mar-Dule and Yoon-Jae.
"I think we should think of another way to get the Celestial Stones back."
Cheong-Su chid in after seeing how the situation was devolving into a ss.
Sol turned to him and shook his head.
"I’ve already thought of every possible solution. There’s no other way than this path."
Byeong-Ho, who was off to the side with his arms folded, thought about his Older Brother. Maybe if he got involved, he would be able to pressure Elder Hyun-Joo to give up the Celestial Stones.
However, just as this thought ran through Byeong-Ho’s mind, he suddenly heard Sol say.
"Also, we have to do this alone. We can’t risk asking for outside help. The fewer people who know about our full situation, the better it is to keep it a secret."
After saying this, Sol glanced at Byeong-Ho.
Byeong-Ho paused before he nodded his head.
Sohow, Sol knew what he was thinking.
"Sol, are you sure about this?"
Cheong-Su asked once again.
"I don’t an this in a bad way, but this is not the sa as killing a Spirit Beast. It’s killing another human. Have you killed soone before?"
To him, Sol didn’t seem like soone who could kill a person. He was undoubtedly strong, but he seed sowhat naive.
However, Mar-Dule thought back on that one ti when he first saw Sol fight in the Martial Hall Pagoda.
Back then, he estimated Sol’s strength to be above his... He still held that opinion, especially after what happened in the Dinsion. But one thing he noticed was that there was more to Sol than what he was showing everyone. He had another side of himself that was spiteful and very aggressive.
Mar-Dule didn’t know how to describe it; he just preferred Sol stay the way he was now. Seeing soone like him get angry just put him on edge for so reason.
Mar-Dule also suspected that even Yoon-Jae didn’t know about this side of Sol. Probably no one knew.
However, that would slightly change now.
In response to Cheong-Su’s words, Sol smiled, though his smile was slightly off.
"Cheong-Su... Are you looking down on ?"
All of a sudden, everyone felt the temperature in the room plunge to freezing levels. Their skin crawled as a terrifying aura wafted from Sol to sweep over them.
Mar-Dule looked at Sol with a terrified expression and instinctively took several steps back. He felt it was hard to breathe standing next to him.
Yoon-Jae also instinctively took several steps back, as did everyone else.
Cheong-Su, feeling the brunt of this aura, had his body shake and his face go pale.
Sol, upon seeing this, imdiately stopped releasing his Killing Intent and began to panic.
"Sorry, sorry! I release too much; this isn’t what I intended."
Sol rushed over, but Cheong-Su took a step back from him.
Sol stopped in his tracks, and deep regret rose in his heart.
"Sorry, I was a bit upset, but I wasn’t angry or anything. I wanted to reassure you guys that I’m fine going through with this."
Cheong-Su released a breath to calm his racing heart before saying.
"I-It’s okay, I’m fine."
Sol played with his fingers and felt even more guilty when he heard Cheong-Su’s stutter.
Little Abdu looked down at him and said.
"That’s not sothing you should ss around with, brat."
"Yeah, I’m sorry..."
Everyone mostly recovered, and questions began to form in their minds.
"What was that aura? It was similar to what Second Brother released when he first ca."
Cheong-Su asked, and Dae Han, who was looking at Sol with a weird expression, replied.
"It’s Killing Intent."
"Killing Intent?"
Yoon-Jae looked at Sol in surprise.
"Since when were you able to release sothing like that?"
Sol sighed.
"Just now was the first ti I tried releasing it. That’s why I couldn’t control it properly. Sorry."
"What?"
Dae Han furrowed his brows.
"That amount of Killing Intent was too potent. How was that your first ti releasing it?"
Sol turned to Dae Han and nodded.
"It’s really my first ti. I just copied what you did. But maybe I shouldn’t have tried doing sothing like that when I wasn’t proficient."
Dae Han’s entire body froze, and he looked at Sol like he was looking at a monster.
After grabbing his head, Dae Han staggered a bit while saying.
"Wait, wait, you’re telling you just released Killing Intent to that degree after only seeing do it just once? That’s... Are you fucking with , Sol?"
Dae Han’s politeness went through the window.
"Why are you being so dramatic? Is it that big of a deal?"
Mar-Dule asked while looking at Dae Han, who seed out of it.
"Of course it is! Do you know how long it took to master Killing Intent? What do you think Killing Intent is?"
Mar-Dule genuinely started thinking about the answer.
"Isn’t it just Bloodlust?"
Dae Han scowled and imdiately spat out.
"Bloodlust is sothing you cultivate by killing enough people. But Killing Intent is the intent to kill. THE INTENT TO KILL!! It’s sothing that has to be cultivated!"
"Huh? What are you even saying? That’s basically the sa thing."
"Fuck, this bastard! I’m saying you can’t just get up one day and decide you want to release Killing Intent, damn it!!"
