"Yoon-Jae, you can’t leave yet."
"That’s right, how can you leave so soon?"
Yoon-Jae was suddenly pulled back into this seat.
One of the girls then sat in his lap so he wouldn’t be able to get up.
Yoon-Jae’s eye twitched.
"I’ve said it before and I’ll say it once more, but you girls have a better chance at seducing a rock than ."
"Yoon-Jae, it’s not like that. We already know you’re not interested in us, we just like talking to you is all."
The two girls by the side nodded in sync, but Yoon-Jae called bull. He knew exactly what they were thinking. Since he wasn’t interested in them, they thought they could get away with anything.
It was understandable to so degree. These girls felt a pull towards Yoon-Jae.
There was sothing specifically about a man who had no interest in them, especially soone as handso as Yoon-Jae.
It was a different feeling than they would get from interacting with other boys; they would have been embarrassed if they were this open but even as they cling to Yoon-Jae he showed not a hint of desire for them.
He was a novelty, soone they could feel comfortable around without worry, but at the sa ti he was still of the opposite sex.
The girl sitting on Yoon-Jae’s lap paused, and she blushed as she turned to look at him.
"Yoon-Jae, if you really want to leave, why don’t we head back to my tent?"
After the girl said this, she felt her heart skip a beat.
Perhaps it was the wine, or perhaps it was the circumstances she was in, but she had never been this bold before.
Asking a boy to co back to her tent? What was she thinking?
Even the two other girls by the side turned to look at her in surprise.
However, Yoon-Jae’s reaction was interesting.
"Not happening."
Having been rejected, the girl felt bolder for so reason.
"Yoon-Jae, it’s not what you think. I just bought a new set of protective clothes that I want to try on. I need your opinion on how I look in them."
"But they all look the sa."
Yoon-Jae said but was promptly ignored.
The girl got up and Yoon-Jae was pulled out of his seat by her.
The two other girls paused before they smiled and said:
"We’ll co as well."
Yoon-Jae sighed and was about to put his foot down. However, he happened to glance in the direction Sol left to see Mar-Yue getting up and following him.
After seeing this, Yoon-Jae paused before turning to the girls and saying.
"Sure, why not?"
With that, Yoon-Jae was dragged away by the three girls.
....
...
..
"Mar-Yue?"
Sol said as he lifted his head.
"Are you crying?"
Mar-Yue asked again as she watched Sol get up and sit at the edge of the bed. Her eyes were still gleaming with excitent.
"No, I’m not crying."
"Yes, you are, you’re crying. Let see."
Mar-Yue suddenly approached Sol, who was a bit taken aback.
"What?"
Sol held Mar-Yue’s hands that were reaching for his face.
"Co on, let see your face."
"Why?"
"Because I want to see your face while you cry."
"That’s... I don’t understand."
"You don’t have to understand just show your face."
Mar-Yue continued to insist on seeing Sol’s face while Sol tried to get her to stop, but she was so insistent that she even climbed onto the bed.
"W-Wait."
Sol said, and at this point, Mar-Yue was straddling him with her face just inches from his.
"Let see your face."
Mar-Yue said again, and Sol silently looked at her before he sighed.
He didn’t understand why Mar-Yue wanted to see his face, but he let go of her hands and placed his palms flat on the bed behind him.
Mar-Yue smiled as she used her hands to sweep back Sol’s bangs that were hiding his face.
Sol’s black circles weren’t as bad as they had been when she last saw them, but his eyes and nose were slightly red. She also noticed the tears in the corner of his eyes. One suddenly fell, and Mar-Yue watched it slide down his cheek before she said.
"See, you were crying. Is it because of your pet beast?"
Sol didn’t respond, but he nodded his head.
Mar-Yue shook her head.
"Don’t be such a crybaby, look how you’re ruining your handso face."
Sol suddenly lifted his hands from the bed and went to hold Mar-Yue’s waist but paused. He looked at her while his hands hovered over her waist. When he saw that she didn’t protest to his actions, his fingers slowly wrapped around her waist.
’Small.’
This was the first thought that appeared in Sol’s mind.
When Sol held her waist, Mar-Yue tensed up for a second, but she quickly relaxed. She then went from observing Sol’s face to locking gazes with him.
While looking into Mar-Yue’s blue eyes, Sol couldn’t help but have a smile slowly appear on his lips.
Mar-Yue’s hand imdiately twitched the mont she saw his smile.
Sol felt her hand twitch and his expression beca weird. The romantic tension was completely shattered, and he finally decided to confront her.
"You were just about to hit , weren’t you?"
"Who, ? I don’t know what you’re talking about."
Mar-Yue suddenly wore a confused expression, but Sol pressed.
"Don’t lie, you were just thinking of punching , and this isn’t the first ti."
Realizing that she had been found out, Mar-Yue huffed and then said.
"Well, it’s not my fault you smile so much.
"And why do you want to punch because I’m smiling?"
"Because, when I see soone smile, I get the urge to punch them. If they scream in pain then it makes happy; if they start crying then it makes even happier."
Sol hearing this finally understood. Mar-Yue was a complete sadist.
Mar-Yue let go of Sol’s bangs and watched them fall over his face.
"I have sothing to give you."
"Are you going to punch ?"
"Maybe, depends on how you react. Co, lift ."
Mar-Yue shifted her position, placing her feet across Sol’s lap.
Sol scooped her up and carried her bridal style. He then left the tent, leaving Abdu on the bed who glanced at them before going back to sleep.
"Where are we going?"
Sol asked when they were outside.
"Walk straight ahead."
Mar-Yue wrapped her hands around Sol’s neck and placed her head against his shoulder as she gave him directions.
There wasn’t anyone around to see them like this, since everyone was busy partying at the center of the Tribe.
After so ti, Sol passed the last few tents and ca to a clearing that looked to be the Tribe’s training ground.
There was a large stone stage in the middle of the clearing, while off to the side were weapon racks and human dummies.
At the corners of the stage, four torches lit up the stage and the surroundings.
After coming to a stop at the side of the stone stage, Sol smiled bitterly as he said.
"So you do want to punch ."
"We’re not going to fight. Let down."
Mar-Yue said softly, and Sol let her down. Afterward, Mar-Yue leaped up onto the stage.
Before she landed, she spun in the air and the wind from her spin caused the torches to be extinguished.
After she landed, she turned to Sol and asked.
"What are you waiting for?"
At that mont, a cool gush of wind suddenly swept by and blew Mar-Yue’s hair and robes. With the moon as the only source of light and having the starry night sky as a backdrop, of course Sol couldn’t help but stop and stare at Mar-Yue.
Mar-Yue’s blue pupils looked more pronounced due to the moonlight as well, making her look otherworldly.
After a mont, Sol recovered before he leaped onto the stage to land in front of Mar-Yue.
"Close your eyes."
A forced smile made its way onto Sol’s face, but he did as Mar-Yue said and closed his eyes.
Just when Sol was prepared to get sacked in the face, Mar-Yue suddenly said.
"Okay, you can open them now."
Sol slowly opened his eyes, and through his bangs, he saw a crimson light shining between Mar-Yue and him.
When he looked down, he realized it was coming from Mar-Yue’s palm.
It took a mont for Sol to register what it was. Not because he didn’t know this object, but because he almost didn’t believe his eyes.
What was in Mar-Yue’s hand giving off this crimson light, was a flower, or to be more specific, the Deep Autumn Flower.
It looked extrely different from Jinji’s own, but Sol was sure of it from how the Fire Aether Energy in the surroundings was reacting to it.
"Are you just going to stare? Co on, take it."
Sol instinctively raised his hands, but they were trembling as he took the Deep Autumn Flower from Mar-Yue.
"It’s already past midnight so it’s officially my birthday, and since that’s the case, I thought I would be generous and give this to you."
Mar-Yue said nonchalantly as she held her hips; however, Sol wasn’t listening to her.
Suddenly, his legs gave out.
