Now reading: Chapter 315 313- Cian from The Growth of a Titan in the Cultivation World, a Eastern novel by TSETTH.

Yuji's body swayed for a bit, but he forcefully kept himself upright.

Byeong-Ho recalled his Sword Intent and gave Yuji one last glance before his eyes landed back on his Immortal Sword.

His eyes seed to pierce the black scabbard and the ordinary-looking sword inside. Within this ordinary-looking sword, he saw a world filled with terrifying Sword Intent.

Inside this world, the Sword Intent would form patterns, but these patterns would only last for a split second.

Byeong-Ho's entire focus was on these flashing patterns. Each ti he observed them, his Sword Intent would tremble, and his eyes would feel a burning sensation while a painful migraine wracked his brain.

But even so, he continued to observe these mysterious patterns with rapt attention.

Yuji wiped the blood from the corner of his lips before asking Byeong-Ho.

"Aren't you lonely being at the top? I'm the only one in this generation that can make you get that excited, even if it was only for a second."

Byeong-Ho imdiatly shook his head.

"You aren't the only one."

Upon hearing that, Yuji's eyes couldn't help but narrow slightly.

"Are you talking about that boy with a strange background?"

Byeong-Ho nodded his head casually.

Yuji paused, then held his chin in thought for a mont before asking.

"Is he really stronger than ?"

Byeong-Ho looked away from the Immortal Sword a t Yuji's gaze before saying.

"If it was a life and death match, he could probably kill you in less than ten minutes. If it was a spar, then I suppose you would be able to last a bit longer."

When Yuji heard this, he completely froze. He was an extrely prideful person, but even if the sky collapsed this very instant, he would never dismiss Byeong-Ho's judgnt.

Yuji respected Byeong-Ho deeply in his heart because of his inhuman level comprehension of the sword. So when it ca to this person, he had long thrown away his pride and accepted that Byeong-Ho was more talented than him. His feelings had even evolved from respect when they were little, to pure admiration over the following years. He might have even beco a fan boy of so sort.

However, nevertheless, Yuji had only one goal in life, and that was to surpass Byeong-Ho no matter what.

But sothing had been irking him recently.

After a while, Yuji asked.

"What about you? Can he defeat you?"

Byeong-Ho remained silent for a few seconds before saying.

"No, he can't."

After saying that, Byeong-Ho turned his gaze back onto his Immortal Sword.

When Yuji heard Byeong-Ho's response, his eyes squinted for a split second before he flashed a smile. He then laughed and said as he jumped up.

"Brother Byeong-Ho, I believe your first statent, but your second judgent reeks of doubt. But for soone to be able to make the number one genius of our generation feel doubt, I really need to et this person. Is he a Swordsman?"

Byeong-Ho shook his head.

"Ah, then is he a Blade user?'

Byeong-Ho shook his head once again.

"A Saber user then?"

Seeing Byeong-Ho shake his head for a third ti, skepticism started to rise in Yuji's heart. He then listed about twenty more weapons in one breath.

After Byeong-Ho shook his head for all of them, Yuji's face darkened.

"Don't tell he doesn't use a weapon at all?"

"He does use a weapon, a bow."

Upon hearing that, Yuji imdiately scowled at Byeong-Ho.

"Bastard! How dare you claim a person who uses the bow as a weapon can defeat ?! That's ridiculous!"

Yuji was soone crazy for swords, and swordsmanship. He was the typical cultivator who thought swords were superior to all weapons. It would have been fine if this person used a weapon like a saber or blade, as Yuji acknowledged their strength. But a bow? Byeong-Ho must be ssing with him!

"Even though he uses a bow, his real talents lie in Martial Arts."

Hearing that, Yuji blinked, and his anger instantly evaporated.

"Martial Arts? Then why didn't you just say that in the beginning? If it's like that then I want to see how great this person is that he can defeat my sword when he's unard. Ha! If we et in the Tournant and he can't defeat in less than thirty minutes, then you'll have to let hold that sword for that sa amount of ti!"

Byeong-Ho suddenly smiled when he heard that before softly saying.

"Why settle for that? If you can defeat him in the Tournant, then I'll lend you this sword for an entire day."

Yuji's pupils shrank upon hearing that, and his body begun trembling uncontrollably.

A fire seed to appear in his eyes as he turned and rushed towards the double doors of the training hall.

He was about to head back to his Clan and lock himself in a dark room to cultivate until the tournant started.

His second ultimate goal in life at this mont was to defeat Sol!

As Yuji left, his voice lingered in the hall.

"Brother Byeong-Ho, you better keep your promise!!"

Byeong-Ho acted like he didn't hear Yuji as he continued to look at his Immortal Sword.

However, a slight tug of a smile could faintly be seen at the corner of his lips.

Even though Byeong-Ho didn't show it, Yuji had weaseled his way past his self-made barriers and beco his friend. He hoped Yuji and Sol could get along. As for this small sche of inciting Yuji to challenge Sol, it was rely to teach him a lesson after making such a rediculious suggest as marriage.

Even though he had grown accustom to Yuji's personality and had seem calm on the surface, Byeong-Ho had truly been exasperated by Yuji's outrageous statent this ti. If it were not for his self control he may have grabbed his Immortal Sword and chased him down the Huashan Sect!

anwhile, back in the Martial Alliance Academy...

A youth who looked around the sa age as Yuji and Byeong-Ho, age sixteen, was seated across the young master of the Jeagal Clan, Dae-Hyun.

After taking a sip of his wine, Dae-Hyun shook his head and said.

"Brother Cian, ah, I apologize if I'm pronouncing your na incorrectly, I'm still learning your Western Continent's dialect."

The young man nad Cian, who was dressed in the Western Continents robes, smiled and said.

"Brother Dae-Hyun doesn't need to worry, as you can tell from how I speak, I haven't gotten used to your Continent's dialect as perfectly as a native."

Dae-Hyun nodded, then said.

"Brother Cian, you might be able to represent your Ga-On Church and the Seven Great Churches, but unfortunately, I cannot do the sa for my Clan."

"But aren't you the Young Master of the Jeagal Clan? Surely, you have so say in the Clan? If it's that you are hesitant to cooperate with my Ga-On church, then I assure you I co from the camp that wants harmony between our two Continents. I think this will be the best outco for the future."

Dae-Hyun shook his head.

"It's not that I'm against forming a relationship with you Brother Cian. I can speak my thoughts on the matter, but ultimately my father and the Elders are the ones that have the final say on whether to pursue a relationship with your Church."

Cian sighed and then stood up before cupping his fist politely.

Without another word, he left his tea untouched as he walked away.

Dae-Hyun watched him go while a sneer erged at the corner of his lips.

"Wanting peace between our two continents? Do you think anyone would believe that?"

Dae-Hyun snorted before he stood up and went to report his conversation to his Young Master in seclusion.

anwhile, Cian left Jeagal Clan's Mountain and went back to the Alchemy Mountain, where he was currently staying after coming to Martial Alliance Academy.

As he walked out of the Teleportation Hall, he couldn't help but sigh in his heart.

'Is it truly impossible as Father said? Why must our two continents wage war? It is so unnecessary. If only the barrier never opened.'

Cian sighed once more.

After essentially being driven away from the Five Great Clans after trying to build a peaceful relationship, he was beginning to lose hope.

"Little sister, why didn't you co instead? Your older brother is really dumb when it cos to this political stuff."

Cian muttered his complaints under his breath and trudged towards his courtyard.

However, on his way, a girl who was wearing the alchemy disciples yellow robes happened to glance at him as she was walking past.

Suddenly, Cian's face changed, and he glared at the girl with a vicious expression.

"Bastard! How many tis do I have to say to leave alone?! I have no interest in fighting you!"

The girl was taken completely off guard, and a terrified look overca her face.

However, Cain continued to glare at the girl.

A few disciples who were walking by shot disgusted glares at him.

When Cain saw this, his expression changed.

Following what his sister always told him, he inhaled once and exhaled twice to calm down.

After calming down, Cian looked at the girl and said with a smile.

"Look, I really don't have ti for a spar, perhaps you can find soone else?"

After saying that, Cian didn't wait for the girl to respond and only turned around to hurry back to his courtyard.

The girl watched as Cian left, the terrified expression that was on her face was long gone.

"I was trying my best with this disguise, but he instantly spotted . I definitely need to fight him at all costs."

All of a sudden, the girl's figure vanished, leaving the disciples walking by thinking they had just witnessed a ghost.
