As Mar-Dule recalled this distant mory, the image of the servant girl overlapped with Hua-Yin’s face in front of him.
Mar-Dule imdiately blushed from embarrassnt, but Hua-Yin hugged him and said reassuringly.
"I wasn’t crying because of our kiss, but because of our heads colliding. When I heard that you wanted to et again, I hid in my courtyard out of embarrassnt. But I think even if I wanted to et you, Mother wouldn’t have let ."
As Hua-Yin hugged him, Mar-Dule went to hold her waist, but his hands instantly froze when he heard Hua-Yin’s latter sentence.
"Your Mother? Who is your mother?"
Still hugging Mar-Dule, Hua-Yin explained.
"My Mother is the Sect Leader of the Ei Sect, but I was adopted by her from my mortal parents when she discovered I had the Yin Body."
Mar-Dule’s body shook, and his hands imdiately dropped to his side. His face had gone pale as well.
"This-This might not work out between us after all."
Mar-Dule’s voice was trembling as he imdiately erased every single thought he had of Hua-Yin from his mind.
Even now he wanted to run as far away from Hua-Yin as he possibly could.
If the Sect Leader of the Ei Sect were to see this scene, he would undoubtedly face her wrath.
During his trips to the various Clans and Sects in Jianghu, his father had warned him multiple tis that whatever he did he should never provoke two powers in Jianghu.
Those two powers were the Jieun Clan and the Ei Sect.
The Jieun Clan was well known for its association with the Shadow Sect, a second-rate Sect that deals with assassinations. This small second-rate Sect was actually feared even by the other Great Clans.
If you beca their sworn enemy at noon, then you’ll turn up as a corpse by the next day without even knowing how you were killed.
As for the Ei Sect, they claim they are a neutral power that rely gathers and sells information, but when there were benefits for their Sect involved then they had no qualms about making a move.
It was also well known that they would have their disciples marry into the upper echelons of various powers in Jianghu.
Over the years they’ve existed, they’ve beco a tree that had its roots in every single major Clan and Sect in Jianghu.
Even if soone destroyed the tree itself, its roots would remain to regrow. If one truly wanted to wipe the Ei Sect from the face of the Eastern Continent, then they not only had to eradicate the Ei Sect but every single Clan and Sect they had roots in.
But was that even possible?
Though that wasn’t all, it was also said that the Ei Sect had a strange relationship with the Shadow Sect and the Jieun Clan.
This type of alliance was extrely terrifying. With the Ei Sect’s information network and the Shadow Sect’s assignation skills, why would anyone court death by becoming their enemies?
There was another rumor that said those three powers were sohow connected to the Miura Clan, but nothing was definitively confird.
As Mar-Dule’s mind ran wild with thoughts of the Ei Sect’s reaction, his face got paler and paler.
Would the Sect Leader of the Ei Sect have him killed for getting together with her daughter?
Who was Hua-Yin and who was he?
How would the Ei Sect allow her to get together with the future leader of the Barbarian Race?
The three races always seek peace between each other but there were never talks about marriage alliances.
Even his Eldest Sister Mar-Tu marrying into a side Branch of the Miura Clan had been a big topic back then, but that was just one of many side Branches!
When Hua-Yin heard Mar-Dule refusing her, she hugged him tighter and remained silent.
Mar-Dule’s headache returned when saw how determined Hua-Yin was.
"Hua-Yin, does your mother perhaps know about this?"
Hua-Yin shook her head.
"No, she doesn’t know."
Mar-Dule’s body trembled once more. This girl was trying to get him killed!
She was actually using her Sect’s resources to pursue an illicit relationship with the Young Tribe Leader of another race?!
"But if you’re worried about her not agreeing with us being together then you don’t have to worry."
Hua-Yin glanced up at Mar-Dule and said with a smile.
"We’ll just have to run away to the Eternal Desert if she refuses."
If Mar-Dule wasn’t utterly terrified right now, he might have instantly fallen for this girl more than he already had. But this situation wasn’t so simple!
"Hua-Yin, we really can’t. This might cause a massive political issue between my Bloodline Tribe and the Ei Sect. It might even grow into an issue between the entirety of Jianghu and my Barbarian Race."
Mar-Dule was holding Hua-Yin’s shoulders trying to get her to let go, but she continued ignoring him.
Seeing this, Mar-Dule sighed and said.
"Okay, okay. Let’s take a hundred thousand kiloters step back and say my father and your mother agree with our relationship. You’re so possessive that I doubt you would agree to taking another woman."
Hua-Yin looked up at Mar-Dule and asked.
"Why would you need another woman when I’m with you? Am I not good enough?"
Mar-Dule shook his head.
"That’s not the issue, but rather it’s the fact that it’s a tradition in our Barbarian Race that the Tribe Leader takes in multiple wives to have sufficient heirs."
Mar-Dule wanted to add that it was also too past on their Giant Race bloodline, but he opted not to.
This situation was truly troubleso, but Mar-Dule had to make the right decision and reject Hua-Yin’s feelings.
Despite his young age, Mar-Dule was extrely mature. He had to be since the weight of an entire Tribe was placed onto his back from a young age. He not only had to learn to be responsible wielding his Tribe’s power, but his own cultivation strength.
However, not just him, but almost every Young Master and Young Lady that will inherit the Clan Leader or Sect Leader position was mature beyond their years.
However, Hua-Yin seed to lack all of that maturity and chose to act on her feelings for him regardless of the consequences.
Mar-Dule didn’t know whether to feel happy that a girl loved him to such an extent or feel helpless at her stubborn nature.
True to her stubborn nature, after hearing Mar-Dule’s words, Hua-Yin shook her head and said.
"Don’t lie to , didn’t father only have your mother? He refused to take in a concubine, and everyone had to agree. Even after your mother sadly died after you were born, he never married anyone else."
Hua-Yin then blushed as she added.
"...And, I don’t mind having any number of children you want."
Hua-Yin then wrapped her arms around Mar-Dule’s neck and leaned up as if she wanted to kiss him.
