Ikem nodded, "Fathers friend Red inford that such situations would happen following the treasures but he said the chances of that happening was slow so to not raise a false alarm I decided to keep quiet until now"

"So this Osita situation was what you were looking forward to," Zephyr asked.

"Indeed but now that I know, it’s even more dreadful. The fact that the enemies can take over soone is quite disturbing especially if they stay low and not show any difference"

"That ans that any apelings now in our kingdom is under the suspicion of being taken over and the only one that can notice that difference is those close to them like the Osita case, if not them a stranger could possibly be roaming freely among our people" Ikem said disturbed.

"Oh my god, I never thought about it that way " Zephyr spoke out loud in surprise.

He recently just got the news from Omadi, so his mind is still occupied with the thought about humans and their problems so he hasn’t thought about how his own people could be affected too.

It is already a known fact among the leaders of the apelings that most apelings kept a treasure they favored to themselves so that ans the chance of an apeling being taken over is high and the worst part is that they have no idea about.

"What are we to do father, I kinda now understand why you didn’t get pan on sharing the news. It is really unsettling knowing that it is an unknown enemy you know nothing about?" Zephyr said as he started pacing around.

"So we do as we did before and continue growing in strength but we have to be more cautious and stay on the lookout for the slightest abnormality and inform your siblings on this new situation, they should also keep an eye out for their own people too" Ikem answered Zephyr.

"What about the human, Osita? What are we to do about him" Zephyr asked, still haven’t forgotten about the human situation.

Looking back at the path Omadi went back from, Ikem clenched his fist and only said "I will be paying the human a personal visit"

Zephyr looked at his father and said nothing but only nodded, the two stood on top of the waterfall looking far away into the distance.

Suddenly, Ikem said " The academy will be complete in two days and things will be different in our kingdom. With the new information we have now I am guessing the possessed apeling will see it as an opportunity"

"What am I to do if I suspect soone?" Zephyr asked.

"Mark them out so that they can be under observation till we are sure of what they are then we apprehend them but for now I have soplace to be" Ikem answered as he jumped down from the top of the waterfall.

Zephyr said nothing as he watched his father figure disappearing into the horizon.

anwhile Ikem at the mont is quickly making his way towards Osita settlent, he had a promise he had to keep to the human and he plans on keeping it.

By the ti the sun ca down, Ikem was already at the settlent. From his position he could see the changes that had taken place in the settlent over the week.

Now the people looked more nourished, healthy and well dressed. Ikem frowned, not expecting the new change.

Taking ti, Ikem made a run around the settlent and compared the new information delivered by the new current scout who took over the previous scouts.

According to them, they have never sent people out to conquer but instead focused on repairing their destroyed ho.

Comparing the words to what he is seeing now, Ikem had no choice but to believe it but that also confused "what ga are you playing Osita?"

The night ca, Ikem made his may into the settlent. He had no need for a concealnt artifact as he easily made his way into the settlent while heading towards the building owned by Osita.

Walking to the house, Ikem picked on a few similar life forces like those of the mutants shaking his head. Ikem walked beside a mutant who didn’t sense him as he walked through the woods and used to build the house easily as he silently made his way into the house.

Room by room, Ikem took his ti to see if he could find sothing useful. He even ca across the sleeping figure of Osita’s wife, looking at the sleeping woman blankly Ikem shook his head as he headed towards where he felt Osita familiar life force.

Walking through the door to the basent, Ikem calmly made his way down to the basent to see the transford Osita ditating crossed leg in peace.

Ikem took his ti walking around Osita, taking a close look at this new enemy, the scales, the horns. Seeing all that Ikem couldn’t help but think if this look is the sa for any possessed being.

Closing his eyes to sense the movent of elents around to see what attribute the demon is attuned to, Ikem frowned as he felt no movent in the elent but he felt a pull.

Digging deeper into the pull, Ikem suddenly opened his eyes as he seriously looked at the still ditating Osita.

"He is absorbing pure mana, mana in its simplest form with no attribute" This wasn’t the first ti for Ikem to see this as his father uses a similar process to get him back to full mana after he expends them during training.

His surprise is the fact that a mortal creature is doing that on command. Ikem the more he explored his training thod understood more about mana. For him pure mana is the byproduct of the elents for them to use as energy.

But now he is seeing Osita actively absorbing pure mana into his body and then rembering the fire wall he produced a week ago.

"Just like father, he pulls the elents and blends them with the pure mana to produce their effect aning he possibly can use all the elents, amazing" Ikem thought to himself as he looked at Osita.

"Just like I thought, whatever possessing him has a great deal of knowledge inside of him, which is exactly why I am taking this approach" Ikem, during the week after Omadi and the others were brought back. He took ti to play and research with the humans.

His research showed that whatever created the mutant knew what it was doing, there was nothing random about their existence aning that this isn’t just a knowledge newly acquired, the knowledge is sothing that has been tested and corrected uncountable tis to be as precise as it is.

Having seen enough, Ikem took back the skill he was using. All of a sudden Ikem form twisted back as a huge scaled hand moved and swiped where his head was causing a huge wind to blow around the basent.

Looking back, Ikem saw that Osita was nowhere to be seen so he looked up to see Osita perched to the basent ceiling like a lizard while looking cautiously at him.

Ikem ear twitched as he head a huge pounding sound coming from Osita chest, smiling to himself Ikem looked up and said "it seems I gave you quite the scare"

Osita anwhile was not in the mood for a joke as he looked at the divine being in front of him, "No" his mory Corrected him "A demigod" he thought to himself.

"The furred n have a demigod among them, how is that possible?" Osita thought to himself as his heart beat faster.

Since the last incident about Omadi, while he acts like he doesn’t really care about the result he was really worried especially after he felt his settlent being observed again.

The thought the sa thing was going to happen again occupied his thought and this ti he may be the target, the thought that information about himself being given away never crossed his mind so he did the best he could to defend himself by creating new mutants but this ti stationing them around his house every night.

He also decided to change his thod and have his own army of capable soldiers but before that he has to change the way things are going now in the settlent.

If he presents himself better to the humans, it would be no challenge to make them turn against the furred n that way his safety can be assured.

If he diligently trained a few talented humans, he would have capable minions who would be of great help to him in holding off few of the capable furred n, he at the mont still has no idea how many power houses they have, especially his encounter with the wind guy.
