A self-study period quickly turned into a tutoring session where the classmates sought guidance from Ren Isana and the others. So even asked Ren how to ensure they didn't actually fall asleep while sleep-ditating.

Faced with these questions, Ren was honestly quite speechless at tis. *Did you guys just completely tune out during class?* And yet, the majority of the students were plagued by this exact sa issue.

It was only now that Ren truly understood. Even though this was a Special Class and their talents were excellent, bad students were still bad students. Having good talent didn't magically change their slacker nature.

The period quickly ca to an end, liberating Ren and Yukino Yukinoshita. The morning magic class officially began, and today, the teacher was finally going to teach everyone how to actually use magic.

The previous two days had been dedicated to ditation and the like. Today, the magic teacher was officially starting to teach the students so basic spells.

"Today, I will be teaching you all a simple, practical spell that can assist you when using your martial arts techniques," the magic teacher said, getting straight to the point as soon as he entered the classroom.

He then turned to the blackboard and directly drew a Magic Circle, writing down the casting thod right next to it. This instantly captured everyone's attention.

"This spell is very simple. It's called [Lightweight・Weight Reduction]. As the na implies, it's a spell that reduces the weight of your body," the magic teacher explained after finishing the drawing.

Hearing the na, everyone's eyes imdiately lit up. A spell that reduces body weight? That was incredibly practical—it was essentially a permanent buff!

Ren stared at the magical principles on the blackboard, quickly morizing them and effortlessly mastering the spell. He gauged the spell's paraters: it required very little Magic Power and had a fast casting ti.

Combining these nurous advantages, this spell was absolutely fantastic. It could be seamlessly integrated into everyday combat, which was incredibly convenient.

"Now, everyone, start practicing. Follow the steps I've written to circulate your Magic Power, trace the Magic Circle, and cast the spell," the magic teacher said, prompting the students below to give it a try.

To allow everyone to practice as much as possible, he even activated the classroom's Magic Array, specifically designed to help them rapidly recover their Magic Power.

Hearing this, the crowd scattered and began their individual tests. So failed the mont they tried to cast it, ending up covered in dirt from the resulting magical fluctuations.

Others, however, succeeded on their first try. It truly was a very simple spell; anyone with decent magical talent could master it with ease.

Needless to say, Ren easily cast the [Lightweight・Weight Reduction] spell. With a light hop, he launched himself into the air, nearly crashing headfirst into the ceiling.

Seeing this, the magic teacher couldn't help but speak up. "Those who have already mastered it can go outside to test it. Don't disturb the other students in the classroom."

He was no stranger to Ren. He had heard all about Ren's monstrous learning comprehension—he could learn many things after being taught just once. There was absolutely no need to worry about him.

Since Ren had already learned it, the teacher simply told him to test it outside. After all, he didn't plan on teaching anything new until the rest of the class had mastered this spell, so it didn't matter whether Ren was in the classroom or not.

Hearing the teacher's words, Ren nodded. "Understood, sir. I'll go test it outside!"

With the teacher's permission, Ren left the classroom without a second word. Many students looked on with envy. *He mastered it way too fast! As expected of Ren Isana.*

Just as everyone was marveling at his speed, Ren, who had run outside, cast [Lightweight・Weight Reduction] on himself and leaped right off the balcony. This exact scene was witnessed by the class.

"Holy crap! Teacher, Ren just jumped off the building!!" exclaid one student who witnessed the leap firsthand, panicking so much he wanted to chase after him.

"Quiet!" The magic teacher laughed out of sheer exasperation upon hearing this. *Jumped off the building, my foot! He's testing the Lightweight spell! Did these idiots forget what they were supposed to be learning?*

Shouted down by the teacher, the student quieted down, suddenly realizing he might have misunderstood the situation. *Well, this is awkward!*

"Hurry up and focus on learning! You'll be needing these spells next week, so don't make a fuss over every little thing," the magic teacher lectured the class.

Hearing the teacher say this, many students felt a bit embarrassed. They imdiately stopped paying attention to Ren "jumping off the building" and focused entirely on learning the spell.

*Once we learn it, we'll jump down just like Ren! That looks way too fun,* many of them muttered in their hearts.

anwhile, Ren landed safely. Jumping down from the third floor, he felt completely fine, and even found the experience incredibly thrilling.

It felt like he was flying. *This is absolutely amazing,* he rejoiced inwardly. He checked his current status; the magic's effect was still active. A single cast of [Lightweight・Weight Reduction] lasted for about thirty seconds.

Because it was so easy to cast, this spell was generally most effective when used at the exact right mont—like when you needed a sudden burst of speed.

Of course, you could also coordinate it with your movents. It could be utilized for every sudden strike or leap. He bounced around a bit until he felt the spell's effect wear off.

Ren cast it on himself once more. This thing was essentially a zero-cost burst spell, incredibly practical. Given Ren's current Magic Power recovery rate...

Thirty seconds? That was more than enough ti for Ren to completely regenerate his spent Magic Power. After casting the spell again, Ren burst forward. With a single dash, he crossed a distance of over ten ters.

The increase in speed was far from negligible; the effect was absolutely stellar. Next, Ren tested a few other things, such as his jumping height.

Right now, Ren could reach a height of around ten ters with a single bound—though, of course, this was only achievable when he exerted his full explosive power. He could even manage a brief mont of hang ti in the air.

Practical. It was simply too practical. Ren continued to test it out on the sports field, catching the eyes of quite a few people. Seeing Ren constantly bounding around outside, many students in the school were quite surprised.

Soon after, even more people ran out to test it. After mastering the spell, Yukino Yukinoshita and Asuna Yuuki also jumped down from the third floor and began testing the magic on the field.

After waiting for them to familiarize themselves with it, Ren suddenly turned to Asuna. "Asuna, do you want to have a spar? An ard one!"

Yukino wouldn't fight him, but Asuna probably wouldn't refuse, right? There was no faster way to beco proficient with a spell than through actual combat.

Therefore, Ren wanted to spar with Asuna to see how this spell perford in a real fight. Asuna seed to share his thoughts. Hearing Ren's invitation, she smiled brightly and agreed, "Sure!"
