The Heavens' Traveler : Starting from the Dungeon Chapter 33: The Teacher Gives You a Private Lesson

"This isn't fun. I'm done." Asuna sheathed her sword and turned to leave. She had completely lost the desire to keep fighting Ren Isana. It was just pointless.

*Surpass myself? I'm not even that strong yet, so how am I supposed to do that?* Besides, that guy Ren would just keep copying her moves. How was she supposed to overco that? It was completely impossible!

With these thoughts in mind, Asuna walked over to the academic building, lightly leaped straight up to the second-floor window, and returned her weapon to her desk.

Ren found her reaction a bit amusing but didn't say anything. He also returned to the classroom to put his weapon away before heading back out to the sports field to continue familiarizing himself with the spell.

As ti passed, the sports field grew increasingly crowded. The rest of the class had also quickly mastered the spell, and soon, the entire field was filled with students leaping and bounding about.

Everyone was eagerly testing out their newly learned magic. Like children who had just received a brand-new toy, the students were brimming with enthusiasm.

Jin-sensei stood on the third floor, observing the students below. After pondering for a mont, he called out to Ren, "Ren, co here for a second."

Surprised by the sudden summons, Ren was a bit puzzled, but he quickly made his way over to the teacher. Just as he was about to ask what was going on, Jin-sensei spoke up.

"Co with . I'm going to teach you so magic." With that, he turned and walked into the classroom. Ren's eyes instantly lit up at those words, and he hurriedly followed suit.

*Is he giving a private lesson?* Ren genuinely hadn't expected to receive such special treatnt. Naturally, when it ca to learning new magic, he would never turn down an offer.

"Your innate talent is related to learning, which makes you different from the other students. I want to know—if I cast a spell just once, can you learn it?" Jin-sensei asked as soon as they entered the classroom.

"Yes. Generally speaking, as long as I see it once or twice, I can learn it." Ren nodded, seeing no reason to hide it. After all, his learning speed was hardly a secret around the school anymore.

"Good. In that case, I'll demonstrate a few spells for you to learn. It should be of so help for your Dungeon expedition next week." Having received Ren's confirmation, Jin-sensei didn't hesitate and imdiately began his demonstration.

"This is [Protective Barrier]. It serves as an early warning system." Jin-sensei crouched down and placed a single hand on the floor. A Magic Circle quickly took shape beneath his palm.

The area it covered wasn't large—only about two ters in diater. Seeing such a small barrier, Ren couldn't help but feel a bit surprised.

Jin-sensei continued his explanation, "If you want to expand the range of this spell, you simply need to increase your Magic Power output."

As he spoke, the Magic Circle on the floor rapidly expanded, instantly enveloping the entire classroom before fading from view.

A faint, translucent barrier had fully ford, completely enclosing the classroom within its bounds.

Ren watched the entire casting process closely. Thanks to his [Jianjigu], everything clicked into place. He already understood exactly how to cast it.

"Now, let explain the theoretical principles behind casting this spell!" After finishing the practical demonstration, Jin-sensei began to break down the chanics of the magic.

About five minutes later, he looked up at Ren and asked, "How about it? Did you learn it, or do you need to go over it one more ti?"

Ren nodded. "I've got it. It's actually quite simple; there wasn't much difficulty to it at all."

With that, Ren crouched down and cast the spell himself. Keeping the diater to just one ter ant the Magic Power consumption was negligible. Based on his own estimates, if he were to cast it at full power, he could probably cover a radius of over ten ters.

After all, the larger the range, the more Magic Power it drained. Furthermore, the spell's duration wasn't particularly long; it would completely dissipate on its own after a few hours.

Watching Ren successfully cast the spell on his first try, Jin-sensei nodded, feeling incredibly satisfied.

"Excellent work. In that case, let's move on to the second one!" Teaching a student like this was an absolute breeze. He could learn any spell the mont it was shown to him.

Even though Jin-sensei ran the risk of having his entire magical repertoire emptied out, he absolutely loved students with this kind of learning speed. It saved him so much ti and effort.

Next, Jin-sensei taught Ren several more general-purpose spells back-to-back, including [Perception] and [Healing]. They were all relatively simple but highly practical spells.

Ren absorbed all of them flawlessly. Jin-sensei only had to demonstrate the spell once and provide a brief explanation, and Ren would instantly master it. Witnessing this firsthand gave the teacher a profound understanding of just how terrifying Ren's learning talent truly was.

After finishing his impromptu curriculum, Jin-sensei clapped his hands. "Alright, that's all for now. Take so ti to familiarize yourself with them; they'll definitely co in handy in the Dungeon."

Hearing this, Ren imdiately spoke up. "Sensei, teach so elental magic too! These are all support spells. I need you to teach so offensive magic."

*Is that really it?* It wasn't every day he got a private tutoring session, and Ren wasn't about to let this opportunity slip by so easily. He had learned a few elental spells previously, but he still felt his offensive repertoire was lacking.

If he was going to learn, he might as well learn as much as possible. He loved the sensation of new knowledge flooding his brain. He was simply too eager to improve.

"Elental magic? Have you even tested your elental affinities yet?" Jin-sensei couldn't help but ask.

Elental magic required a corresponding affinity to learn; it wasn't sothing a person could pick up just because they wanted to. Furthermore, the school's current curriculum didn't actually cover elental magic at all.

That branch of magic was strictly reserved for university-level education. Universities offered specialized classes for every elental affinity, and students could simply attend the lectures for whichever elents they wanted to learn.

"I have! I have an all-elent affinity!" *Don't ask questions. If anyone asks, I'm an all-elental genius.* In reality, elental affinities didn't matter to Ren in the slightest. Thanks to his [Jianjigu], as long as he saw a spell, he could learn it.

Jin-sensei was visibly startled by this revelation. *This kid is absolutely absurd. Even his magical talent is this terrifying?* After a mont of internal marveling, he thought it over and simply agreed.

"Follow , then. I only specialize in Wind and Water elental magic, so there isn't much I can teach you." Jin-sensei said as he headed out of the classroom. Teaching destructive elental magic indoors was out of the question; it would wreck the room.

Seeing this, Ren eagerly trotted after him. The two headed straight downstairs and out onto the sports field, where many of the students were still busy practicing their [Lightweight] spells.

Seeing Ren and the teacher approach, the students subconsciously stopped what they were doing. However, Jin-sensei didn't call for them to gather. Instead, he found a spacious, empty area of the field and imdiately began his demonstration for Ren.

Watching this unfold, the rest of the class instantly realized what was happening. The teacher was giving Ren a private lesson—and it was for elental magic! In a flash, everyone's interest was piqued.

None of them had any objections to Ren receiving special treatnt. Ren had the capacity to learn these spells, whereas they certainly didn't. After all, their current strength simply wasn't up to par.

In fact, with their current Magic Power reserves, casting even a single elental spell would likely drain their mana completely dry. There was a very good reason why the teacher hadn't taught the rest of the class!
