That night, Sheng Yize told An Xiaxia so many things. He talked about his childhood and related anecdotes about Grandpa Sheng. She tried to get him to sleep, but he stubbornly refused.

An Xiaxia knew that he was venting his anger on her.
Since he wouldn’t show her any respect, she wouldn’t tolerate him either. She glared back at him, then turned away, ignoring him pletely.
After two strikes in a row, Sheng Qingyi was fuming. Only then did he seem to realize something and asked with a grim expression, “How’s your grandfather doing? What did the doctor say?”
“I thought stock price and publicity are the only things you care about. Why ask?” Sheng Yize said coldly.

“I said, get out! Are you deaf?!” Sheng Yize raised his voice. Instantly, conversation in the corridor subsided, as if everyone was paying attention to the sounds inside the lounge.
Sheng Qingyi scolded in a whisper, “Keep your voice down! They’ll hear you!”
“Heh.” Sheng Yize smiled sadly. “I feel so sorry for grandpa, that he has a son like you!”
Realizing that he was in the wrong, Sheng Qingyi walked out, looking defeated.
As soon as he was gone, Sheng Yize fell down on the sofa, as if he had been drained of all his strength.
An Xiaxia crouched down and asked nervously, “What’s wrong… Are you not feeling well?”
“Xiaxia…” He whispered her name, sounding exhausted. “I’m so tired.”
“Get some rest, then. I’ll call you if something es up!” An Xiaxia gazed at him with unblinking eyes, which somehow made Sheng Yize calm down right away.
He closed his eyes and took a nap. Then there was a motion in the corridor. “The operation is over! Here es the doctor in charge!”
Right after that, Sheng Qingyi burst into the room, looking elated. “Great news! Our stock price won’t drop!”
Sheng Yize clenched his fists.
