A hush fell over the general meeting and everyone turned to look at Chu Zhiyun in unison.
Panic flickered in Chu Zhiyun’s eyes, but she fought it immediately. “Where’s security? Escort this man out. If you have any questions, I’ll see you in court!”
“Have I hit a nerve?” An Yibei said unhurriedly, making sure to annoy her to the fullest extent. “Ms. Chu, what right do you have to stand here? What makes you qualified to attend this general meeting?”
“Why, I see you’re here to stir up trouble!” A man stepped out. “Ms. Chu is Mr. Song’s widow and she has every right to be here!”
An Yibei adjusted his glasses. “However, Mr. Song and Ms. Chu never signed a marriage certificate. Of course, a recognized marriage can take many forms and a marriage certificate isn’t requisite.”
An Xiaxia was a little confused. What was An Yibei playing at? Why had he contradicted himself as soon as he had challenged Chu Zhiyun?
Chu Zhiyun looked impatient. “I signed a marriage contract with Mr. Song and that’s recognized by law!”

We’ll know who you are once we run a DNA test.” An Yibei shrugged. “You’re going to be prosecuted for fraud and attempted murder. The police are waiting for you outside. Let’s go!”
“I’ve attempted no murder!” Chu Zhiyun came back to herself at the last moment.
It was possible to be exonerated for fraud, for she hadn’t actually obtained any shares yet. However, add attempted murder to the list and she might have to spend the rest of her life in prison!
“But Song Qingwan, your daughter, has already confessed. She said you were the one who put her up to the shooting and your fingerprints are on that gun. I think the police will discover whether or not you did it!”
“That bitch… she double-crossed me!” Chu Zhiyun said incredulously.
