He gasped in pain, raising his uninjured hand to cover his shoulder, only to find he could stem the blood in one place but not stop it seeping out from another.
Across the way, within his line of sight, one of the black panther’s paws was stained with his own blood, and atop the panther’s head sat a white fox.
“Zimo!”
He truly hadn’t expected to be injured within the grounds of Zimo’s estate!
Looking up, he saw guards, alerted by the panther’s roar, racing over.
With a leap, he dashed out, deciding he would have plenty of ti later to return to this place. For now, he needed to tend to his wounds.
“What’s happened?”
Jiang Li rushed over following the guards and saw the black panther kept by his lord’s mother, its paw drenched in blood, while atop its head, the white fox White Fox bared its teeth in a ferocious expression toward the courtyard wall.
