Kanae didn't fight it. They flew over the small ridge to witness a battle under way. A small army of harpies and elentals attacked a war camp that numbered in the hundreds of tents. The Commonwealth forces were struggling to fight back against their empowered foes, who rained down elental magic upon them. Flas scorched swathes of soldiers. Hail bludgeoned them from above. Devastating lightning forked through squads in tight formation.

But Esta was there to help. The drakeling mother bashed him from behind with her Magic-Consuming Dragon Shield. It caught him by surprise enough that he let Feraline go. Together, the pair sucked in a deep breath and let loose a combined blazing inferno that sent an incoming platoon in disarray.

"Damn!" Red whistled sharply. "Look at Silver go! And is that her kid? Talk about a duo!"

"Guys, I see Sis!" Seven pointed across the battlefield, where Arenade was leading an attack through the left flank of the Harpy King's soldiers.

Riding on rhinocerine beasts, they punched through the footsoldiers' ranks and broke formation. Of course, Arenade was donning a full suit of armor from Holy Armant, and she wielded a mighty lance at the fore.

However, her victory was short-lived. Giant stone golems erged from the earth and stopped them in their tracks. The riders, Arenade included, fell from the mounts.

Kanae, Red, and Seven swooped in to help. The harpy warrior smashed into the chest of one stone golem and destroyed it outright. Kanae picked Arenade up and flew away just as another golem smashed its fist into where she was lying.

"K-Kanae?!" Arenade gasped.

Not to ntion, as soon as Petyr, Delayn, and Camilla joined the fray, many Elusis officers knew it was over. Multiple horns bellowed across the battlefield to signal a full retreat.

"Did… Did we win?" Arenade asked.

"That's not even a fraction of the Harpy King's forces. We're going into this war at a disadvantage," Kanae explained.

"Sis!" Seven flew up to them after helping Red finish off a couple of stragglers.

"What the? Seven! What in the three hells is going on?!" the high elf shouted.

With the battle over, Commonwealth forces picked up the wounded, the dead, and put surviving Elusis soldiers in cages. Many raced up to Kanae and Edina, glad to see the founders of the Eminence of Sin alive and well.
