The Hero Became a Succubus, and the Only Way to Level is to… What?! Chapter 316 – The Faefolk
The tiny Porupo people around them were maybe two feet tall at most. Their skin ranged from yellow to green, dappled with dark spots and colorful striations. Eye holes were cut into the masks for sight, feathers on top were so long that they drooped and flopped with every little movent, and a red handprint marked the center of the face.
Arenade, despite being bare naked in front of an audience, started to relish in their worship. One Porupo kneeled down and offered her a platter full of fruits. Another fanned her with a fan made of the sa feathers on their masks. Two stacks of them climbed on top of each other to be able to massage her shoulders. They quite literally gave her the royal treatnt. anwhile, Kanae and Edina were on their knees in the muddy ground.
"Can you convince them that we're your friends or sothing?" Kanae groaned.
"Hmm. I think I much rather like our current positions. For once, I'm finally being worshiped like the divine being I am. They know how to treat well!" Arenade sat back, smirking and her eyes glinting.
Damn it, Arenade!
"Cowtits is letting it get to her head again… Hey, I can't cast shit without my staff. All I got is my bad-touch skill," Edina whispered.
"I'm just going to charm them." Kanae cast Mass Charm just as Arenade picked up her staff.
"Clarity of the Tranquil Mind!" Arenade incanted a spell that sent a breezy wave through them.
All of the faefolk montarily fell under Kanae's charm, only for the priest's spell to imdiately free them from its hold.
"Are you serious? When did you even get that spell? Quit fooling around and tell them to free us!" Kanae exclaid.
"Tell you what. I'll consider it, if you and Edina prostrate and profess devotion to Almighty Arenade." Arenade crossed one leg over the other and tossed a grape into her mouth.
"What kinda stupid prophecy is telling you a bite-sized elf with big titties will guide you anyway?" Edina asked in exasperation.
"It was spoken to our ancestors by the ssiah, an elf who arrived here from a faraway land many, many years ago! We shall show you through our ancestral blood. Bring the bloodletting knife!" the Porupo chief ordered.
Kanae, Edina, and Arenade reacted to the ntion of an elf from a 'faraway land'. They had heard this before…
A Porupo dressed in shamanstic pelt robes kneeled before the chief, presenting him a small sharp blade made of bone. He picked up the ritual knife and drew it across his palm. Blue blood dripped down to the mud. Soon, the mixture began to bubble. A sowhat clear image arose, forming from coagulated blood and shifting mud.
First, they saw an elven man. He carried himself proudly. His glorious raints suggested he ca from wealth and power. The Porupo people dropped to their knees again.
"What you see before you is the mory of my blood." The chief stretched out both arms as if to cradle the vision. "This elf is the ssiah. He appeared before our ancestors one day when a cataclysmic earthquake shook Faerealm. Now behold, the ssiah's prophecy!"
They watched carefully. It was obvious the Porupo had witnessed this many tis. The ssiah treated the faefolk as equals. He taught them how to build hos, sharpen sticks into weapons, and to boil at in a stew of herbs to give flavor. In turn, they regarded him as a kind of folk hero and prophet.
As ti went by and the ssiah grew older, he beca bored. His countenance turned weary. Instead of being out all the ti alongside the Porupo, he stayed inside his hut all day to whittle. Wooden carvings surrounded him. Many of them were of feminine elven figures.
"ssiah, you only ever whittle the sa figure. Who is she?" A Porupo voice ca through, and it seed they could hear echoes from the past as well.
"Oh, you wish to know? This, my friend… is my ideal goddess! Behold!" The ssiah revealed a wooden figurine of an extrely busty elven woman.
"But, ssiah, why is her chest so… large?"
"You don't understand, but I do. I have felt it. Their suppleness, their comfort, their mammary warmth… Boobs, my friend. There is power in them. They nourish life! They motivated n such as myself beyond imagination! The bigger, the better! Though I am stranded in Faerealm, I will never forget. How I wish to lay my hands on a pair again!" He started fondling the small statue's breasts.
Several Porupos even brought out wooden figures that only vaguely had Arenade's likeness. Her jaw dropped. As for Kanae and Edina, they tried their best not to erupt into laughter, but it was really hard. Their guts were sore.
"Before the ssiah, we praised a god of blood. Perhaps they were one in the sa after all. We will shed the blood of sacrifices to appease the blood god. In return, she will grant us nourishnt. She will grant us succor and strength from her boobs! Huzzah!" The chief cheered, inciting a round of elated glee from his people.
"Huzzah!" Kanae and Edina cheered, too.
"Alright, Arenade. Give them the go ahead to draw blood. At least in my dying breath, I get to see a hundred midgets suck on your cowtitties!" Edina cackled.
"Why don't you grant us succor from your boobs before killing us?" Kanae suggested snidely.
"H-Hold on!" Arenade jumped to her feet. "I'm not even small to begin with. This is only temporary because so dumb flower pollen shrunk !"
"Does that an you will beco bigger?" a Porupo asked?
"That's right. Which ans I'm not the shortstack elf with big boobs. I'm just a regular-sized elf with big boobs," she explained desperately.
All of the Porupo traded glances with each other, quietly absorbing the new revelation. Suddenly, the effects of the shrinking pollen did wear off. Arenade grew back to her original size, crushing the makeshift throne and now towering over the small fae.
"The bigger, the better! Huzzah!" everyone cheered.
Pouting, Arenade finally turned to Kanae and Edina for help. If they didn't have Kh'shanti to save, this would have been a great opportunity to teach her a lesson.
Instead, Kanae decided to be the better person. She exerted a Mass Charm again, and it wasn't interrupted by Arenade's spell this ti. The entire Porupo tribe tensed up and fell under her control. Their chief obediently walked over and cut the bindings loose with the sa bloodletting knife.
Arenade nervously returned to their side. "No hard feelings, right? We're married, and sotis married couples bicker. I wasn't really going to make you grovel or anything! I swear!"
"Yeah, no hard feelings. But I was thinking the Porupo people deserve so reward for their devotion. Maybe a little bit of succor?" Kanae flashed an impish grin.
"Wh-What's that supposed to — aahhh! AAHHHH!"
Compelled to obey, a group of Porupo pounced on Arenade and knocked her to the ground. They threw off their masks to suck on her breasts. Buried underneath a mound of fae and without her staff, she could do nothing but accept their notion of worship.
"I found our stuff!" Edina flew over and divvied up their belongings.
Without masks, they were finally able to get a good look at the Porupo. These fae had the faces of imps but with large, bug-eyed irises. Although their first encounter with the denizens of Faerealm were less than impressionable, no one knew more about their world than those that lived here.
Kanae whipped out the list from Arenade's bag to show the Porupo chief. He only recognized several of the ingredients, and his tribe had less on hand. They brought over a bundle of star-leaf stalks and so needle fruits. That made two out of seven of the list of ingredients for a Fairy Rot cure acquired. Fortunately, the chief knew where to find a third reagent, satyr horn.
Satyrs were apparently goat-like people, one of the many fae races that looked down on the Porupo. A settlent could be found at Shimroong Glade. With a tribe of faefolk under Kanae's control, they could guide them there.
Hopefully, the Kh'shanti seedling was hanging in there back ho.
"Will we be going to war against the dreaded satyrs?" the chief asked.
"Uh, no. I do need a horn though…" Kanae muttered.
By the ti they had gotten ready to leave, the Porupo were done breastfeeding. Arenade was twitching on the ground, coated in saliva and her nipples swollen from being sucked on. Luckily for her, Kanae had Prestidigitation, so she wouldn't have to suffer being all sticky and nasty. As soon as she cast the spell, Arenade snapped upright.
"How dare you defile ! !" Arenade violently shook her.
"Calm down! We know where to find the next ingredient!" Kanae exclaid.
"Ugh… The sooner we get everything on the list, the faster we get ho. I already hate this pervy place," she grumbled and clutched herself.
A Porupo ca up to Arenade and offered a wooden figurine of a busty elven woman. She snatched the statue, then broke it in half. After Arenade got dressed, the chief led the way to Shimroong Glade. He wasn't the only one to follow. Even though Kanae didn't explicitly order the others to, the tribe marched with them.
It looked like they really were going to war. Even though the Porupo were chard, they wouldn't stop throwing glances at her breasts. Kanae couldn't bla them though. The pair were certainly sothing to stare at.
"Dear, exalted blood god… could a humble servant trouble you for just a suckle?" a brave Porupo asked.
"Kanae, you better not be controlling them to say that!" Arenade raised a fist.
"It's not , I swear!" Kanae protested.
They almost walked into the Porupo chief. He had paused at the threshold of the treeline. Shimroong Glade turned out to be within walking distance. Kanae had expected a whole journey, but this was in their favor.
The satyr settlent was much larger than the Popuro tribe. Unlike mudhuts and bonfires, Shimroong Glade was a city of wide, marble pavilions, spiraling towers with tree branches coiled around them, and large longhouses. These fae were certainly a more advanced race.
Many were out and about, minding their own business. A satyr's mode of dress was almost similar to what Arenade wore. Light robes like togas draped over the shoulders and wrapped around the body. Unlike her, however, they were adorned with wooden fetishes like stars. The n had a distinctly pale green tint, whereas won had purple complexions. All of them walked on digitigrade legs and cleft hooves. They commonly have thick, ribbed horns beginning at their foreheads and curving backwards along the skull.
At a glance, the tallest satyr was about the height of a short human man. They were skinny. Their abdons were slightly longer than other races Kanae knew.
A pleasant lody drew their attention to a gazebo close to them. There, a female satyr played music on a harp with a row of flutes attached to the top. Her fingers danced across the strings, and her lips whispered into the narrow tubes. Two couples danced to the tune, arms linked and smiling.
"These are the dreaded satyrs? They look like they're having fun," Kanae said.
"Don't be fooled. They are vicious and violent! Their outward appearance may be kind, but it is a ruse. A satyr can only be reasoned with by demonstrating your own strength," the chief Porupo explained.
Kanae recalled eting Cylia, the fairy. She also looked cute and unassuming… until she opened her mouth, and everything was just a string of profanity and grueso fantasies.
"You two go deal with it. I'm not risking running into another race of faefolk with a deeply-ingrained boob fetish." Arenade shuddered.
"Oh, bother." Edina shrugged and hopped out first, followed by Kanae and about half the Porupo people. "Hey! We were wondering if you—"
The music stopped. The group of satyrs snapped in their direction and hissed like serpents. Their kind deanor contorted into the most wrathful and disdainful expression possible.
"INTRUDERS! THE MIDGET PORUPOS ARE HERE WITH SO HELP!" the female satyr bellowed.
Kanae and Edina went wide-eyed in shock at their stark change. It was like witnessing a bunny transform into a bloodthirsty monster.
Hundreds of satyrs poured from the city. They were ard to the teeth in maces, clubs, and crossbows. Although they wore no armor, so in the back were incanting spells that wreathed them in protective magic.
The Porupos who erged cowered in fear. Those that had hung back pushed Arenade out from cover.
"What are you doing? I don't want to co out!" Arenade complained.
"Your end is nigh, foul satyrs! The prophesized god of blood is on our side. Her breasts nourish us with strength!" the chief Porupo shouted.
"I'm telling you, my boobs won't make you stronger!" she fired back.
"Get them!" a satyr captain ordered. "The Endar are in need of slaves, and they will pay a hefty sum for all of you!"
The army of satyrs charged all at once.
"Sleep!" Kanae casted, but they shook it off.
"Faefolk don't sleep!" Arenade warned.
"Now you tell !" she groaned.
Kanae was about to cast Mass Charm until Edina put an arm up. The necromancer stepped forward, twirled her Pillar of the Damned, and slamd it into the ground. Giant portal opened and out ca four death knights, Cantu being among them.
Undeterred, the satyrs threw themselves into the line of death knights… only for them to be knocked back.
"A necromancer!"
"In Faerealm? Impossible…"
"Oh, it's very possible. Forward my death knights, and wreak havoc on the living!" Edina howled.
They marched undaunted into the satyr city. Resistance was actually futile. A dozen satyrs jumped onto the death knight to stab into its weak point, but the only thing the undead were weak to were holy magic. The hulking monstrosity flung them right off.
A barrage of spells pumled another death knight's greatshield, leaving the tal slightly charred and its wielder unhurt. For all the satyrs' magical protections and numbers, they were still no match for death knights.
"Is this… Faerealm? By the gods, I thought such a place was only a fairytale! Here I co to explore a satyr city!" Death Knight Cantu led the counter charge, trampling his way through.
Seeing the hopelessness of it all, the satyr tucked tail and ran.
"Hey, uh… We still need a horn!" Kanae exclaid.
"Aha! I almost forgot." Edina whistled sharply.
"No, no, no! Please, don't hurt !" A fleeing satyr tripped, and the death knight picked him up. It broke off his horn and tossed him away. "Thank you for your rcyyyyyyyyyy!"
The city was in ruins, and its inhabitants had fled. Porupo flooded in, hooting and hollering about their victory over the satyrs. Edina's death knight that had broken off the satyr horn dropped it into Kanae's palm.
"I'm starting to feel like we're the bad guys here…" Kanae sulked.
"Starting to?" Arenade squinted at her.
Well, it didn't matter. A satyr's horn was in their possession now. That left four more ingredients to find. Kanae glanced left and right, surveying the destruction they— rather, the destruction Edina had wrought. One of the longhouses was still mostly intact.
The three of them retired for the night. At least, what night appeared to be in Faerealm. A different hue draped over the glade, and the entire forest lit up in an array of colors. Firefly-like insects buzzed about and beca the stars of this plane. Bioluminescent mosses illuminated wherever they grew. So kind of crickets creaked and chirped all around them.
Faerealm's ambience tugged on Kanae's eyelids. Despite the whimsical nature of this world, it had a certain tranquility and peace that cradled her to sleep.
