“What did you co to see for?”

When Anna pushed open the door, what she saw was the sli lady sitting upright with calm poise and natural grace.

Under the sunlight, that back view was so dazzling that Anna instinctively added a layer of protection around herself, then waved her hand to set up a soundproof barrier.

Only then did she relax.

“Boss, when are you actually planning to go to the underground city? Every day you’re either sleeping in bed or sleeping here... Sigh, if we keep going like this, I’ll never be able to repay the loan I owe you just by working part-ti.”

Anna hadn’t wanted to co urge this laziness-incarnate sli, but she was only the first mate on this ship — the true captain was the sli sitting before her, who did nothing but sleep and laze around.

Even if you wanted to sit back and reap the rewards, that only works once your organization has taken root and grown into a towering tree.

Anna could only sigh helplessly. Back when they had first decided to form this team, Vieya had been the most enthusiastic one.

But ever since she found she could earn gold while lying down, she had just... let herself go.

So this is what they an by “wealth spoils the soul.”

Or maybe this was simply her true nature resurfacing.

“The debt’s not urgent.”

Vieya spoke softly. “As for the underground city... Jasmine’s academy is about to launch so kind of large-scale test — a training project to improve the combat skills of the new generation of mages.”

She paused, then continued evenly, “It’s a collaboration among all four territories’ academies, including the Royal Capital’s Grand Academy. They said they’ll have all new mages of this generation compete within the sa trial ground — to grow together.”

“That...” Anna hesitated, frowning slightly. “The magic academies have never held such a massive event before. Sounds more like an ergency troop-expansion plan — as if they’re preparing for a disaster they can already foresee?”

“I think so too.”

Vieya brushed her ssy bangs aside, her gaze dim and calm. “But this big academy event is a real opportunity for Jasmine. She won’t turn it down — and I won’t stop her.”

“I understand what you’re thinking now.” Anna nodded after a mont of thought. “Then I won’t disturb your rest. I’ll head to the academy and confirm the event date. When it begins, we’ll et directly in Tarin City.”

With that, Anna cast a floating spell on herself and, as light as a bird, flew out of the open terrace.

White clouds drifted. The sky was still blue.

Vieya lay back down on the recliner, covered her face with her hat, and pretended to nap.

Bang!

Bang, bang!

The door was knocked again.

Vieya sat up, her beautiful eyes dull and lifeless.

“White fluff! Your wine’s here!”

Bang!

Elizabeth knocked twice more with no answer, then simply phased through the door. Holding two bottles of wine proudly, she strutted over to Vieya.

Pop! — Elizabeth pulled out the cork with a satisfying sound, eagerly holding the bottle out to her white-haired master, her tone ingratiating. “These are exactly what you asked for. Have a taste~”

“......”

Vieya accepted the bottle. The cool, fragrant aroma of the wine was intoxicating. She studied it for a mont, then tilted her head back and gulped down several mouthfuls.

Wine this rare and expensive was ant to be savored from an elegant crystal glass — not like this, straight from the bottle.

Elizabeth was both surprised and confused.

What’s going on with her today? Her mood seems calm, yet the feeling she gives off is like a fernting spirit — dangerous, intoxicating, but becoming a deadly beauty through ti and yeast.

“Phew~ Delicious... my tongue’s going numb...”

Vieya’s cheeks flushed pink. Her eyes turned hazy as she glanced at Elizabeth and murmured softly, “Co on, drink with . Will you?”

“Sorry, Master, I can’t handle drinks this strong — I’d have to use magic to dissolve the aftereffect.”

Elizabeth shook her head, refusing politely. But she had no intention of missing this golden opportunity to observe what a drunk sli would be like.

Then again, if Vieya lost interest from drinking alone, that would ruin everything.

So... she decided she’d guide her master into drinking more — with the sa earnestness she used when trying to convince her to let her feed on her blood.

If Vieya got drunk and Jasmine found out later?

That wouldn’t be her problem.

Elizabeth smiled faintly, leaned beside Vieya, and began coaxing her sweetly.

“Master~ Let pour you another...”

Hehehe, Elizabeth laughed inwardly. Two bottles weren’t nearly enough to knock out the white-haired sli completely, so—

Screech!

A small black bat flew downstairs and began pretending to carry a divine order: “Screech! The Master’s drinking! I didn’t buy enough — can soone go get more, quick! Ergency!”

“ow? Didn’t Master quit drinking? Why is she drinking again?” Helcat blinked, puzzled. “If Jasmine finds out, she’ll definitely bla for not keeping an eye on her beloved mom. No, I have to stop her!”

“You idiot, screech! Master finally wants to relax a little, and you’d ruin it? How heartless! It’s just for today — can’t you let the poor Master enjoy herself?” the bat pleaded dramatically.

“Well, alright, ow... but I’m still worried.” Helcat stood up. “I’ll go keep her company.”

“No! We’re out of wine at ho. Go buy a few more bottles and co back to drink with us,” the bat ordered.

“Fine, I’ll go...”

“Be quick! We’ll be waiting for you.”

“ow.”

Helcat sighed helplessly. A small cat who had only just touched the threshold of ninth rank didn’t dare argue with Demon Kings.

Vieya must have been suppressing her craving for years — now it was bubbling back up.

Helcat still rembered their first eting: a dark room filled with bottles, reeking of alcohol.

The girl inside — so full of life, so beautiful — looked ❀ Nоvеlігht ❀ (Don’t copy, read here) pale and soulless, as though she had just crawled out of a coffin.

“ow...”

Helcat flicked her tail, shaking off the mory. The Vieya of now was round, bright, and carefree — always smiling, always full of thoughts about her daughter.

So this ti, she would pay for the wine herself!

Even a little cat could have a grand dream — that one day she’d proudly pat her chest and tell her master, You’ve raised for so long and fed so many fish. So tonight, Master, let treat you! This ti, I’ll pay!

Helcat wiped her mouth, decided to reward her generosity, and bought herself a skewer of grilled fish.

“So tasty, ow.”

......

Half an hour later.

On that sa terrace, the foolish cat lay unconscious, completely defeated by Elizabeth — drunk out cold.

“Hmph, a Demon King offers you a toast, and you dare refuse?”

Elizabeth raised her brow, ignoring the passed-out catgirl. Twisting her body gracefully, she sat beside Vieya, one hand supporting her back and the other swirling the glass before her lips, her voice a silky whisper that dripped with temptation.

“Master~ how about another drink with ?”

“Ehehe...” The sli girl opened her mouth, closing her eyes as she waited for the wine to pour in — oblivious to the pair of fangs slowly approaching.

White fluff... you finally let your guard down.

After three years of waiting, Elizabeth’s heart was racing. One bite, just one, and even a sli would be unable to resist that ecstasy — a pleasure so divine it would leave her addicted forever.

No being with intellect could experience it once and ever choose to abstain again!

But just as she was about to bite, a voice interrupted.

It was Jiele Xiyin, who had been watching the entire scene unfold from the doorway. “Elizabeth, are you really going to do this?”

“What’s it to you? Get lost!” Elizabeth snapped, frowning.

“I’ll stop you.” Jiele Xiyin’s tone was calm. “You’re being greedy.”

“I’m only going to bite her once — it won’t harm her. At most, she’ll just... develop a fondness for she can’t shake off.”

Elizabeth’s eyes stayed wary, but her hands didn’t move away from the sli’s soft body. She smiled teasingly. “You’re the one who’s jealous, aren’t you?”

ow...

The black cat, pretending to be unconscious, silently cried inside.

She’d only gone out to buy wine and sohow ended up in this ss.

Master, please wake up! the cat howled inwardly, helpless.

The two Demon Kings faced off, neither willing to yield an inch.

Then, as if bored of waiting, Vieya suddenly slapped Elizabeth’s thigh. Her gaze seed to clear for a mont, though her voice remained drowsy.

“If you don’t drink, I’ll have to punish you, hmm?”

Despite the words, there was no anger in her beautiful eyes — only the shimr of reflected light, like rippling water.

She rolled the glass bottle gently between her palms, looking down at the clear liquid inside. The warmth seeped into her hands as her lips curved into a faint smile.

For an instant, her bright face softened — carrying a girlish expression, gentle as the first spring blossom, as if countless emotions stirred all at once within her chest.

Elizabeth was caught off guard when Vieya suddenly pulled her, making her stumble and fall into her lap. The bright smile on Vieya’s face stole her breath, but what ca next made her flinch.

“Soone, feed this idiot bat so wine,” she called lazily.

“ow?” The catgirl suddenly sat up, stunned. “Master, you’re not drunk?”

“I am.”

Vieya smiled, shoved the bottle into Elizabeth’s mouth, pinned her in place, and watched her shocked expression with a soft hum of amusent.

“The seas stretch far, yet the boat rots in drift,

Frost binds the stars — where does the vessel return?

Life adrift, entrusted to a mayfly’s span,

Who understands the water’s eastward flow?

Co, empty the jade cup of wine,

And lean upon the sword to hear the stars.”

“Mmmph! Mmmph!”

Elizabeth struggled helplessly. Her body refused to move, her mouth plugged and filled with burning liquor. As she tried to gather her magic, Vieya’s hand slid down to her backside — poised to strike!

The two Demon Kings standing nearby didn’t stop her.

If anything, they looked thrilled to see her humiliation.

Elizabeth’s mind went blank.

Vieya chuckled softly and asked,

“Idiot bat, could you tell more about the other Demon Kings? I... want to know a little more about all of you.”
