Vieya felt as if a point in her mory had been seared open.

xxxx year, x month, x day.

Talin City, Karlsruhe District.

This was near the lush Black Forest, in the southwestern border region. The Moon River quietly wound through here, an ancient church nestled among verdant trees, picturesque in the afternoon sunlight.

In this quiet, peaceful afternoon, sunlight slipped through the gaps of the church’s window fras and landed on Vieya’s feet.

The room was dim. Upon the clean marble floor stood a long wooden table.

“Since you’re awake, I’ll turn on the lights.”

A familiar, pleasant voice ca from ahead. Then, mimicking the human gesture of snapping fingers, crack, the church lights flared on suddenly, white and bright as day.

Vieya narrowed her eyes, unable to adjust to the sudden brightness for a mont.

After a while—

A cup of steaming coffee was pushed before her. The girl on the opposite side still stood. “Feeling any better?”

To be honest, the mont Vieya heard her voice, she already knew who stood before her.

After experiencing repeated, similar dreams, Vieya had long learned to handle such scenes with ease.

It was funny.

But she could not laugh at all.

She rembered her last mory was in the Hall of Honesty—she had been exploring with Jasmine and the others. Then they started a round of truth-or-dare, and she had apparently said the wrong thing twice?

But—

Why am I back in the dream again?

Vieya rose and walked a circle around the church they were in. She knew everything here well. Many years ago, they had once co here together, shoulder-to-shoulder, praying before the statue of Saint Catarina at the center of the church.

Heh, a Demon King praying to the Church’s deity—laughable, when you think about it.

“What’s wrong? Seeing this familiar scene, does it surprise you?”

“Surprise... no, it’s shock.” Vieya turned back, looking directly at the golden-haired girl sitting on the long table, legs swinging. She asked bluntly, “Why am I here?”

The golden-haired girl smiled gracefully. “Because an angel tried to inspect your mories, but accidentally triggered my counter-defense. So... we et again.”

“Tried to inspect my mories?” Vieya asked.

“Yes, our mories. Yours especially caught the dungeon master’s attention. But it’s fine—right now, that one is just a weak undead buried tens of thousands of years, far inferior to , whose death is still fresh... Mm, though strictly speaking, that one is my senior.” The girl bit her finger lightly, her brows slowly furrowing. “When I inherited the throne, I read through that one’s life story.”

She paused, then continued, “Before being killed by their own father in the na of the world, that one had already fallen deeply. Now, maybe sensing that you carry the scent of on your body... that is why that one is ddling with you.”

“After all, that one once held the authority of the world’s root-evil.” The golden-haired girl gazed at the sli lady, voice faint. “But why? Are you planning to dabble in a Demon King’s evil authority yourself?”

“You found out?” Vieya froze, then explained, “I only use the Demon King authority as a bridle to restrain those two Demon Kings. They told that overusing such authority would erode the user’s mind—making the greedy more greedy, the wrathful more wrathful... I’ve been cautious. Don’t worry.”

“That’s good.”

Hearing that, the golden-haired girl smiled with satisfaction. Lightly hopping down from the long table, hands ➤ NоvеⅠight ➤ (Read more on our source) clasped behind her back, she stepped toward the sli lady.

“In a mont, that angel will definitely panic because it can’t see anything. When that happens, you can complain however you like. The reason is simple—it offended you. You must be assertive...”

“Okay.” The sli lady agreed instantly.

“Mm... we still have a bit of ti left. So, how about we do sothing pleasant while we can? Think of it as a reward... for not touching any woman these past days?” The golden-haired girl’s gaze burned. Even knowing it was a dream, her feelings felt unbelievably real.

Vieya suddenly beca shy. She didn’t know why, but standing next to Flaviel always made ti feel gentle and slow.

She didn’t know why, even though ti slowed, her thinking slowed with it—as if sinking into a sweet jelly called Flaviel.

“This doesn’t seem right...” the sli lady stamred shafully. “And this is a dream, right? Our daughter should still be next to my body. If I have a spring dream now... with so many people around, I—I...”

“It’s fine. I can teach you how to block your body’s reactions. Just think of this as a ritual of soul-bonding.” Flaviel rose slightly on her toes, her warm breath brushing against the sli’s ear, her voice seductive yet filled with deep affection.

“Entrust everything to . Here, we have no conflicts, no barriers—just relax and enjoy...”

As she spoke, she leaned lightly against the stiff, frozen sli lady, waiting for her permission.

Vieya was tempted. She wanted to righteously refuse, but when the words reached her mouth, they changed.

“T-then... how do I block my body’s reaction...”

“You’re agreeing?”

“I’m agreeing.”

The sli lady’s face flushed, her erald eyes shimring as if coated in wet light. In a brief burst of courage, she reached toward the small white ribbon tied around the golden-haired girl’s waist, ready to start tugging and pulling.

Pa!

“Lewd!” Flaviel suddenly laughed, smacking the sli lady’s shaless hand—not too hard, not too light—then flashed away from Vieya’s reach.

The sli lady stared, aggrieved, blinking rapidly. Her little face flushed red, then pale, unable to understand why Flaviel changed her mind.

She clearly said she wanted to have so fun—why back out now? Why ignite the fire only to leave it burning... Was she doing edge-play on purpose?!

Vieya glared angrily at the still-laughing golden-haired girl.

“You’re about to wake up.”

Flaviel said with a smile. She slowly stepped back and leaned against the long table where Vieya had first awakened. Her smile was serene, picturesque.

She extended her hand.

In it appeared a shining platinum ring.

At that mont—

It felt as if a corridor of years collapsed all at once.

Vieya’s vision blurred.

Through the hazy refracted light, she felt a breeze blow.

Under the pale-white moonlight—

Night wind swept across Talin City on the southwestern border, passed through the ancient church, lifted the hem of Flaviel’s white sundress, brushed the strands of hair beside her ear.

“I don’t want to leave too many regrets in this world.”

She was proud and beautiful.

She lifted a finger, brushing the loose strands behind her ear. In the reflection of the Saint Catarina statue, she turned back.

Moonlight shone in her eyes. She looked toward the far end of the dream and smiled sweetly—

“Beco my lover. I will protect you for a lifeti.”
