Fengxiang Town, this little border city, didn’t have movie theaters or amusent parks, but fortunately it did have dessert shops. The sky was at the dividing line between night and dusk, the number of pedestrians on the street was small, and even the staff inside the dessert shop were yawning in exhaustion. Seeing this strange loli pair enter the shop, they only lifted their heads for a mont before dozing off again.

Vieya led the golden-haired loli as they swept through the glass display cases full of donuts. In truth, she also found it odd that Flaviel in her child form liked this sort of thing.

The bigger a Demon King was, the weaker their fondness for such small sweets.

But the loli-form Demon King liked them terribly. Often, just one or two boxes of donuts were enough for Vieya to freely pinch and squish little Flaviel’s cheeks.

Unfortunately, little Flaviel rarely appeared in the past. On one hand, the adult one found the child form too innocent, too stupid, and refused to switch. On the other hand, Vieya was worried that a grand Hero like herself taking a small loli around to eat couple’s als would be misunderstood as so kind of pervert.

But now—

Both reasons no longer existed, and even Vieya had to admit the benefits of her current body.

“Xiao-Ye, that one, that one... and that one, I want them all!”

Flaviel scanned the display, her clever golden eyes suddenly showing hesitation, as if worrying that eating too much would burn through Vieya’s budget, and also worrying that later Vieya wouldn’t want to keep a useless dragon and would kick her out.

“Anything else you want?” Vieya asked casually.

“Those new flavors... I haven’t seen them before. Can I order one of each to try?” Flaviel asked carefully.

“No. Do you plan to eat here all night?”

“Why not?”

“Guess why I brought you out today?”

“Mm, to ride ?” Flaviel blinked. “Outdoors?”

“......”

Vieya fell silent. She didn’t understand how her glorious, mighty image had turned into this in the other’s eyes.

The white-haired loli sighed with a face full of complicated emotion, put hands on her hips, and said, “Anyway, you can’t stay here eating forever. I want to take you to other places to play.”

“Other places? Do you have more work tonight that requires my help... related to those masked enemies from before?” Flaviel paused. “Do they have ketchup here?”

“Yes yes yes, I’ll get it for you! Do you want sour or sweet?”

Vieya went to the shelves and returned with a huge bag stuffed full of ketchup packets. “I know you like adding ketchup to these things, so I brought a little of every flavor for you.”

The two of them sat at a nearby table, holding an enormous pile of food.

Flaviel dipped donuts into ketchup. This was thanks to her true form being a dragon—no matter how many high-calorie foods she ate, she wouldn’t gain much weight.

“You’re still tracking the mysterious masked people who ambushed back then?” Flaviel asked.

“Of course I’m tracking them.” Vieya said. “That’s a war between us. What business do others have ddling? Attacking is one thing—how dare they attack you.”

“Sorry.” Flaviel tore open a packet of bright red ketchup and squeezed it straight into her mouth. “But have you really not considered marrying into the Demon King Castle? I believe that even if the future has a thousand reasons, as long as you’re willing, she would still agree.”

“......”

Vieya hesitated for a mont before sighing. “Forget it. Jasmine probably wouldn’t want to go back there. Over these years, a few monsters from Demon King Castle have co secretly looking for Jasmine, but she got that fat cat to trick them away every ti. They never even saw her face.”

“Really...” Flaviel looked up and stared sharply at the white-haired loli across from her. “But don’t pull that on . I’m asking you, not our daughter. If you went, do you think that mommy’s-girl of a daughter wouldn’t follow?”

“These things are still far off. We’ll talk about it then.”

The sli-girl smiled and spread her hands. “People et because they’re fated. Since even in our situation we can still et again, that ans our fate isn’t over. Haha, fate is a good thing.”

Flaviel rolled her eyes. Every ti it was like this—she suggested things, but no one listened. Sigh, who knows why her future self was so stubborn, and why the white-haired sli-girl sitting in front of her still leaned so much toward the human race.

Both of them had unusual identities, and both knew the other’s past, but for now it was their honeymoon period. Even sleeping together wasn’t a problem. As for whether they would suddenly draw blades and beco enemies—that belonged to the past, and also to the future. The future should be discussed in the future.

“Mm... after we finish this, where do you want to take ? Find a hotel room?”

Flaviel leaned comfortably against the chair, her beautiful golden eyes looking toward the opposite side. “Or... do you want to learn more about my Demon King side?”

“Demon King... Can I touch your tail?” Vieya asked, itching with curiosity.

“My tail? Do you have so obsession with tails?” Flaviel looked curious and thought seriously. “You can touch it of course—horns and tail both are fine. But this is the first ti I’ve realized that you, born pure human, actually like monster traits.”

“Of course I like them! Devilish body, angelic face—if I could hold onto your horns or hug your tail while riding you, that would be even better!” Vieya clicked her tongue in admiration. “Too bad I didn’t know this before!”

“A perfectly fine sentence—how do you make it sound so weird?” Flaviel frowned. “And dragon horns and tails are important. If you randomly touch during high-altitude flight, I could lose balance.”

Vieya blinked. By dragon-monster biology, horns [N O V E L I G H T] were the steering wheel only a recognized master or mate could touch, and the tail controlled balance and airflow. Touching the direction horn or tail-wing during high-speed flight with the wrong force or angle could cause a dragon crash.

Once little Flaviel’s stomach was filled with ketchup and donuts, the sli-girl paid the bill and imdiately dragged her outside.

Vieya originally planned to get a ring fixed and then go ho to sleep, but on the way—

The city alarm suddenly sounded!

The sharp alarm echoed through this border town that had just fully entered nightti.

All the crows in the city began to scream, circling over Fengxiang Town.

A full-city alarm—this highest-level alarm was usually reserved for monster tides or city-destroying crises. Everyone living in the city had to treat it seriously; it concerned every life inside these walls.

“Did you cause this?”

Vieya stopped in confusion and turned to look at the golden-haired loli whose hand she was holding.

Flaviel paused, then shook her head. “No.”

As she spoke, she too looked up cautiously toward the sky.

Just one glance was enough to explain everything. At the edge of their vision, thick clouds churned with flashes of lightning. A massive storm tore trees from their roots and pushed slowly toward Fengxiang Town.

This was a natural disaster called “Wind Eye,” a super-level calamity on par with a monster tide, usually occurring in coastal cities.

“Let’s go back. I’ll contact the Lord Mayor’s office to see what’s happening.”

Vieya tightened her grip on Flaviel’s hand and turned back, running.
