Now reading: Vol 2. Chapter 201: Vieya: “I am full of determination!” from The Hero Who Became a Monster Girl Will Never Fall to Evil, a Action novel by Xxlkk.

Although Vieya had already ford a rough guess in her heart, when she arrived at the infirmary she still couldn’t help but sigh.

The entire Elven Royal Court was shrouded in a special, mysterious aura. Every elf had grown lethargic, unwilling to think. They seed to be imrsed in a gentle Eden, reluctant to wake up.

As for festivals? Elections?

Under the influence of the Demon King’s aura, elves who were too lazy even to eat—how could they possibly bother with anything else?

All they wanted was to lie down, sleep, and turn themselves into pieces of wood capable of photosynthesis. As for everything else, they couldn’t be bothered to think about it at all.

Sotis, Vieya couldn’t help but marvel at the Demon King’s absolute suppression of non-Hero lifeforms, as if they were natural neses.

All living beings were crushed and trampled by Demon Kings, Demon Kings were restrained and judged by Heroes, and Heroes were in turn constrained by all living beings...

What a perfectly closed chain of mutual suppression.

“You’re here?”

The Elf Queen looked toward the doorway. Aislin had brought Vieya inside.

“As you can see, the source of this incident is right here. Next, let’s discuss a plan to deal with her.”

“Kill her, or save her. All the decision-making power—I can place it in your hands.”

The Elf Queen looked at Vieya, whose expression was complicated, and continued,

“But only three days. If it still isn’t resolved within three days, I’ll have no choice but to act personally and end this farce with more extre asures.”

“Mother...”

Aislin pressed her lips together. She glanced at the indifferent Elf Queen, then at Vieya beside her, whose expression was heavy, wanting to say sothing.

“The sap of the World Tree is limited. It’s impossible to supply it to every elf,” the Elf Queen interrupted. “Three days is my final concession. The world is unstable, war is spreading—I can’t allow the Elven Royal Court to remain in this paralyzed state.”

“Miss Vieya, what do you think?”

“Alright.”

Vieya {N•o•v•e•l•i•g•h•t} let out a breath and said slowly, “We’ll first try thods that can solve the problem. If that doesn’t work, I’ll take action myself.”

Yes. If necessary, she would act.

“Back to the point. Why did Isabel suddenly beco like this? I think once we figure that out, the answer will reveal itself.”

Vieya walked to the bedside and looked at Isabel. Yesterday, the rmaid beauty could still get in and out of bed; today, she had beco a dying Sleeping Beauty.

‘My two hundred million gold coins...’

Her heart was heavy, but she still pressed her hand against Isabel without delay and used Appraisal on the rmaid lying on the bed.

The next second, her eyes narrowed.

【Scale-Gathering rfolk】

【Na: Isabel】

【Level: 999 (Recovering; all attributes reduced by 97%)】

【Origin: Eastern Realm Dragon Gauze Palace, mutant rfolk】

【Abilities: Divine Fish, Sea God’s Spear, Wind-and-Wave Command, Body of Clarity, Ocean of Sloth】

【Danger Level: dium (During the authority dissociation phase, impacted by the aura of an ‘other’ Demon King, causing disorder in her own authority and loss of consciousness)】

【Note: Why not take this chance to set up a pot, boil so water, chop a bit of scallions and minced garlic, cook her thoroughly, and share tender rfolk at with family and friends? Dip it in sauce, shake hands, and make peace. Solve the problem and taste sothing fresh—wouldn’t that be wonderful?】

The unknown god who had bestowed the Hero’s blessing really didn’t seem like a proper deity—every line reeked of eating people...

Vieya sighed faintly. She hadn’t expected Isabel’s condition to be connected to what she’d done last night—using Flaviel’s aura to cultivate dragon sprout grass.

Isabel’s body now was like a severely damaged machine. Any error from a single component could cause the entire system to collapse.

And the malignant dragon aura created last night, while sweeping across the entire Elven Forest, happened to produce a slight impact on Isabel, causing her consciousness to blank out for a mont.

It was precisely during that brief blank period that she lost control of her body, and the abnormalities within her erupted uncontrollably.

If Isabel’s condition had been a little better, she might have been able to reclaim control of her body imdiately after that brief loss. But her current state was clearly terrible—such a tiny soul shockwave sent her spiraling into a death vortex.

Poor child...

Still, the solution to this matter had beco clear.

—Help Isabel awaken her lost consciousness.

After gently touching her forehead, Vieya turned around and looked at the elves, each with a different expression.

“I more or less understand her situation now. She can be saved.”

“Is that so?”

The Elf Queen folded her hands over her knees and said softly, “If you trust , then say it. We can think of a solution together. After all, I’d also prefer to resolve this peacefully.”

Hearing this, Phoenix and Aislin echoed her words in agreent.

Vieya nodded, explained the conclusions she’d obtained through Appraisal one by one, and then shared the solution she had in mind.

“Retrieve her lost consciousness?”

After a brief consideration, the Elf Queen smiled. “That’s convenient. Our elven race happens to have research in this area. Sa as before—if you trust , I’ll help you wake those old elves up and get them moving.”

Vieya spread her hands.

What else could she do? Trust them.

If there hadn’t been other people present, the sli felt she might’ve rushed over to hug the Elf Queen and call her ‘Mom’ a few tis.

Ugh—this bad habit must’ve been picked up from Jasmine’s little friends who kept shouting ‘Mom’ all the ti!

Before long, the Elf Queen returned, followed by a female high elf.

She had black hair and red eyes, carrying the charm of a classical beauty—sothing rarely seen in the Elven Royal Court.

At first glance, she even gave Vieya the illusion that this wasn’t an elf at all, but rather the vampire Demon King she kept at ho.

“She is the head of the Amaroni clan—the ‘Flower’ family, one of the four great families of the Elven Royal Court. You can just call her Lano,” the Elf Queen explained.

“Lano... hello?” Vieya greeted her tentatively.

The waters of the elven race truly ran unfathomably deep. The one before her was no weaker than the Elf Queen herself.

Lano smiled slightly and bowed.

“Greetings, honored guest. Her Majesty awakened from my slumber and asked to co help guide a soul lost within the cycle of reincarnation. May I ask—besides yourself, are there any other helpers this ti?”

“Helpers?” Vieya froze.

“Yes. The two of us aren’t enough—we’ll need one more.”

Lano glanced at Isabel on the bed, then looked back and explained gently,

“On the way here, Her Majesty explained the patient’s condition to in detail. To retrieve a lost consciousness, we must enter the patient’s ntal world and guide it out. Rescuing souls and consciousness always carries risks.”

“So during the guiding process, besides —the caster—and you—the one seeking a solution—we also need an anchor.”

“You can think of the anchor as a layer of insurance. Even if the guiding fails, as long as the anchor exists, we won’t lose our consciousness like the patient did.”

Uh... so saving soone ant putting yourself in danger too?

She herself didn’t really mind, but dragging soone else into it with her...

Vieya hesitated slightly. But the next mont, Aislin beside her raised her hand.

“Aunt Lano, if you need a helper, let do it.”
