Then she imdiately panicked, turned around, and ran straight back into her police car.

A second later, she drove off in complete embarrassnt.
Her female officer friend stared in disbelief.
"...What the hell!? We rode here together!"
The poor officer imdiately started chasing after the departing police car on foot.
Bai Xue quietly glanced toward Shen Tian.
"...Is she also a heroine?"
Shen Tian gave a half-nod.
"Yeah."
Then he lightly patted Bai Xue’s head.
"So don’t treat her too badly. I know you underground types don’t exactly love the police."
Bai Xue imdiately let out a small humph.
"For my hubby, I’ll tolerate anything."
Then she happily hugged his arm and rested her face against his shoulder while relaxing completely.
Shen Tian chuckled softly.
"Co on. Let’s head to the hospital."

Inside the police cruiser.
Ye Chen silently lowered his head while pretending to remain weak and injured.
But internally, his mind was racing.
He could not get arrested.

The police cruiser stopped at a red light.

Within minutes, police sirens began flooding the city.
More and more cruisers surrounded nearby streets while officers rushed around trying to locate him.
Hidden deep inside a dark alleyway, Ye Chen leaned heavily against a wall while breathing hard.
His body was exhausted.
Bruised.
Bloody.
And still completely naked.
"...Damn it."
He glanced down at himself before gritting his teeth.
"I need clothes..."
Ye Chen’s eyes landed on a holess man sleeping peacefully atop a cardboard box nearby.
The holess man quietly snored, without realizing anything.
Ye Chen stared at his clothes for several seconds.
"...That’ll do."
