Cedric was a man who valued reason and common sense above all else.

He didn’t believe in luck or fate. To him, those were re illusions—excuses for the powerless.

Whether it was fate or the future, he believed everything was determined by one’s own strength.

At least, that’s what he believed before the succession began.

Elina, once expected to be the first to fall, had risen to beco one of the top three contenders threatening his path to the throne.

She wasn’t just protected by the formidable Singularity of Chaos—she had also secured the support of the Marquis Caltheron family, and even Count Balfrom stood behind her.

Several other Count and Viscount families had also pledged their backing, far beyond anything Cedric had anticipated.

That was when his perspective shifted. He realized that fate and luck might truly exist.

And with that realization ca a growing sense of wariness—perhaps even fear.

His sister had beco soone completely unpredictable—far beyond anything he or his uncle had ever imagined.

But now, her fortunate days seed to have truly co to an end.

The Singularity of Light—the figure who stood at the pinnacle of this world—had turned against her.

Survival was impossible now, unless a miracle occurred—like the sudden appearance of the Singularity of Chaos.

However, that chance now seed almost impossible. Not a single report had co from his spies about the man’s whereabouts since his last appearance.

And it wasn’t just Cedric who seed pleased—Aldric, Zarak, and Cassian were clearly satisfied as well.

Pfft! Elina, your good fortune ends here, Aldric muttered with a chuckle.

Aside from Adalen, he too had been humiliated by the Singularity of Chaos—so badly that he’d spent several days in the palace infirmary.

To say he held no grudge would’ve been a blatant lie. But even he knew that taking revenge on the Singularity of Chaos was nothing more than a fantasy.

Even his father—the Emperor of the Great Velmora Empire—didn’t dare challenge that man. So what hope did he have?

Now, however, a chance had finally presented itself. It might not harm the Singularity of Chaos directly, but seeing Elina removed from the succession was satisfying enough.

Hahaha! Damn, I didn’t expect the gods to favor this much! In the end, those two twins got dragged into it too! Zarak laughed, overflowing with glee.

He had been humiliated by Nolan too many tis to count, and the grudge he bore toward the man was imasurable.

Now, at last, fate seed to be on his side—justice, in his eyes, had finally arrived.

Hehehe... this is getting interesting, Cassian muttered, narrowing his eyes.

He glanced at Nolan, who remained calm, then sneered, How are you going to save your sister in a situation like this, Nolan? I can’t wait to see how reality crushes you... and her.

On the right side of the hall, Rafine looked anxious and uneasy. She turned to her mother and asked in a trembling voice, "Mother, do you think... do you think they’ll survive?"

Anastasia bit her lower lip and slowly shook her head. "I’m not sure... But I don’t think they will. The one making the demand is the Singularity of Light—and I’m certain His Majesty, whether he wants to or not, will have no choice but to obey."

The title Singularity was sacred, granted to only seven individuals in the world.

Those who bore it stood at the very peak of this world’s power structure.

Even Ragan—mighty and high-ranking as he was—was nothing more than an ant before one of them.

Rafine clenched her fists, her face clouded with confusion and protest.

What’s happening to ? Why do I feel like this? She murmured, dazed.

For Rafine—who had never been close to a man, let alone understood love—the unfamiliar emotions surging within her were overwhelming, leaving her confused and struggling to keep control.

Noticing the shift in her daughter’s expression, Anastasia let out a helpless sigh and gave a wry smile.

It seems she’s truly fallen for Prince Nolan. That’s good news... but also troubling. I just hope a miracle can protect Prince Nolan and Princess Elina from this disaster.

anwhile, on the left side of the hall, Orlan, Rudy, Syra, and the few noble family heads who had declared their support for Elina stood in stunned silence, their faces pale with horror.

"My dear, what’s going on? Will Princess Elina and Prince Nolan be alright?" Syra asked anxiously.

Orlan snapped out of his shock and gently patted her hand, which was clutching his arm.

"Don’t worry. They’ll be fine. Don’t forget—Prince Nolan has a direct connection to the Singularity of Chaos. Trust him," he said reassuringly.

Syra bit her lower lip and nodded softly. "I’ll believe in him."

"Good." Orlan smiled in satisfaction. His gaze returned to Nolan, and a glint of anticipation flickered in his eyes. My intuition tells you’ll survive, Prince. I just don’t know how. I look forward to seeing it.

"Father, I’ll plead with His Majesty!"

Evalyn gritted her teeth and moved to step forward, but Luke, standing behind her, quickly reached out and held her back.

"Wait! Don’t be reckless—that would be suicide!"

Tears welled in Evalyn’s eyes as she turned her head with a furious glare.

"But... but..." she stamred, her voice trembling.

Luke sighed and gently rubbed her back. "You have to trust His Majesty. I don’t believe he’ll hand down a sentence without a clear legal reason. So hold on... and wait."

Evalyn clenched her fists tightly before finally letting out a heavy sigh.

"Alright, I’ll listen to you. But if His Majesty turns out to be different from what you believe... don’t bla for what I do next."

Luke didn’t respond, but his silence spoke volus—a quiet, tacit approval.

"Father-in-law, are you joking with ?" Ragan shot him a sharp look.

The Singularity of Light showed not the slightest trace of fear. "Whether you see it as a joke or not, these are the demands I intend to make."

"I refuse," Ragan said firmly, without a mont’s hesitation.

The Singularity’s smile faded. In its place, a piercing cold gleam flashed in his golden eyes. "Are you certain about that decision?"

"Absolutely," Ragan replied, locking eyes with him without flinching. "Anything else, I’ll grant—but not that."

"Hahaha!" The Singularity of Light burst into sudden laughter, but it carried a bone-chilling weight that made the hall go still. "Your Majesty—no, Ragan Lorian. Do you really believe you’re above others?"

A golden aura erupted from his body. In an instant, everyone—except Adalen—collapsed to their knees under its pressure.

The atmosphere turned terrifying—heavy and suffocating, as if death itself had entered the hall and was breathing down their necks.

"I am one of the seven Singularities in this world. I am not bound by laws—I am the law."

He extended his right hand to the side, and in an instant, a golden sword materialized—forged entirely from concentrated aura.

With a cold gaze fixed on Elina, he declared, "If you won’t punish her... then I will."

Whoosh!

His figure vanished—then reappeared instantly before Elina and Nolan, sword raised high.

Ragan’s eyes widened in alarm as he shouted, "Stop!"
