"You..." Mathias growled, anger flashing at Nolan’s mocking gesture.

Yet beneath his fury, a deep surprise stirred.

He hadn’t expected Nolan to be so powerful—so terrifying. The two monsters he had just subdued were creatures of city-to-country scale.

They could bring chaos to a small or dium-sized kingdom, thanks not just to their imnse strength but also to their sharp intelligence.

Stopping such creatures usually required the efforts of many Great Mages. Yet Nolan showed no sign of strain or fear. He handled them effortlessly, as if they were re weaklings.

How strong is this guy, dammit! Mathias roared silently.

By now, he could no longer underestimate Nolan. Fear of his power gnawed at every fiber of his being.

If he lost today, the sea monster would lose its strength. And once that happened, it would surely be destroyed by the soldiers aboard both warships.

"Why so quiet? Have you run out of strong monsters?"

Nolan’s playful voice drifted up from below. Mathias snapped out of his thoughts and turned, only to et Nolan’s mocking yet defiant gaze.

Gritting his teeth, he rose to his feet and raised both hands high.

"Seven Eternal Abyss Monster Statues, appear!" he bellowed.

Whoosh!

Seven black lights suddenly descended from the sky, surrounding Nolan in the colosseum like a living cage.

Mathias clasped his hands and called again, "Arise, my monsters!"

Buzz!

The seven statues shone with a dazzling black light, their forms gradually swelling to forty ters tall.

Monts later, the light dimd and vanished, revealing the terrifying forms of massive monsters.

There was a Wyvern, a Dragon, a Lizard Man, a Snake, a black-furred Bear, a seven-headed Hydra, and a silver-furred Wolf. Each exuded an overwhelmingly powerful aura, coupled with a seemingly endless wave of killing intent.

Despite their enormous size, the Colosseum was spacious enough that their presence didn’t make it feel crowded.

Nolan couldn’t help but be taken aback. Incredibly powerful monsters... This guy is truly mysterious...

His eyes narrowed toward Mathias, who floated high in the sky. From the start, he had known Mathias commanded many strong monsters, but he hadn’t expected their power to be this imnse.

Most of these creatures were extinct, unseen for over a thousand years.

And judging by their auras, it was clear they had been modified and enhanced in ways beyond description.

"Hahaha! Afraid now, Your Highness?" Mathias mocked. "Earlier, you challenged , and I granted your wish. Yet look at you now—scared? Regretful? Hehehe... I’m sorry, but I won’t be withdrawing my monsters. Now, feel what it’s like to die at their hands!"

The anger and fear he had displayed earlier had vanished, replaced entirely by delight and malice.

Nolan’s strength was indeed far beyond his expectations. But was that enough to make him give up?

Of course not!

He still had many cards yet to play, and that gave him a sense of safety and calm.

Leaning back on his throne, he crossed his legs and looked at Nolan with a mocking gaze.

anwhile, Nolan studied each monster with a calm, indifferent expression.

Suddenly, Arnold’s voice rang in his mind.

My lord, do you want to step in and handle all of them?

Nolan didn’t answer imdiately. He let out a small sigh before saying, "Are you underestimating ?"

Arnold froze, then hurriedly explained, No, my lord, that’s not it. I was just—

Before he could finish, Nolan chuckled and cut him off. "Relax, I was only joking. Don’t take it seriously. But I’ll accept your offer. You haven’t stepped in since then, right? How about trying this ti?"

Arnold’s heart leapt, and he replied respectfully, You’re right, my lord. Very well, I will carry out your orders.

Monts later, Arnold materialized before Nolan. He bowed deeply, then turned toward the monsters with an icy gaze.

"Since you dare disrespect my lord, it’s ti for you to die!"

Whoosh!

A dazzling gray-black light erupted from his body, stunning Mathias.

He scrambled to his feet, eyes wide in horror at the blinding display.

Who is that man? Why does his aura feel so strong? He muttered, fear creeping into his voice.

Arnold’s aura seed to grip his very soul with invisible hands. It was a power far beyond him—or anyone he had ever encountered.

As Mathias stood frozen in shock, the light gradually faded. What erged was no longer a human figure but a dragon monster.

No—calling it a monster would be an understatent. It was an enormous dragon.

Eighty ters tall, it had four wings on its back: two massive wings spread majestically, while two smaller ones hung below.

Its jet-black scales shimred with circular red patterns, and a golden sun and star adorned its forehead.

Its eyes were pitch-black, with vertical golden pupils streaked faintly with lightning.

Two pointed black horns rose from its head, and its sharp fangs glinted as it let out a soul-shaking roar.

"A dragon?!" Mathias cried in terror. "How is this possible?! Why would the damn prince have such a creature?"

Then he rembered the mysterious man who had appeared earlier. A chilling realization struck him.

"That monster... is that man? Don’t tell he’s a friend—or a subordinate... Damn..." Mathias swallowed hard, his face pale.

But there was no ti to dwell on fear. The black dragon had already lunged at his seven monsters.

Boom!

Arnold sank his powerful jaws into the wyvern’s head. In an instant, the monster’s life was snuffed out.

Roar!

The other monsters bellowed in fury, but with the stark difference in size, Arnold tore through two of them effortlessly.

One was shredded by his claws; the other was decapitated in a single strike.

Calling it a fight would be an understatent—it was a massacre, over in less than ten minutes.

The seven supposedly mighty monsters were nothing more than ants before Arnold’s true power.

Nolan turned lazily to Mathias. "So... any more monsters? If not, I’ll finish this right now."

Mathias’ body trembled. He did have a few trump cards left, but they were aningless against the enormous black dragon.

"Don’t get cocky yet, Nolan Lorian! Have you forgotten where you are? You’re trapped inside my dinsion, and you won’t escape without my permission! Hahaha!" he boasted.

"Oh?" Nolan smiled, sarcasm lacing his words. "That’s all the confidence you’ve got? Then I’ll crush it—just like last ti."

Snap!

With a single snap of his fingers, the surroundings cracked and splintered like glass. Mathias’ laughter froze, his eyes widening in terror.

"How could—"

Before he could finish, explosions erupted from all directions. In an instant, the scene reverted to the hall where Nolan had first entered.

"So... how was that? Feeling arrogant now?" Nolan grinned widely.
