The Seven Mages of the Constellations were Celestial-level mages belonging to the Great Velmora Empire.

The Celestial level was the highest among the seven tiers of mages: Novice, Interdiate, High Mage, Great Mage, Archmage, Sage, and Celestial Mage.

Their very existence was enough to stir awe across the continent and among other kingdoms. It was no surprise, considering their power had reached the pinnacle of known magic.

They were called the Seven Mages of the Constellations because their powers were linked to the constellations Orion, Cassiopeia, Draco, Lyra, Hydra, Phoenix, and Corvus.

Each of them possessed unquestionable and extraordinary power.

Because of that, their sudden appearance imdiately eased most of the panic in the palace square.

"Hey! Isn't that the Seven Mages of the Constellations?" One man said, pointing with a trembling hand.

"It really is them!" another replied, unable to hide his excitent.

"Hahaha! We're safe!"

Several people burst into laughter and exchanged relieved glances.

The reaction among the noble family heads on the stage was no different. Many slumped in relief at the sight of the Seven Mages.

"They finally ca," Aldric murmured, clasping his hands together.

Had they not arrived when they did, he couldn't imagine what might have happened to the people in the square.

"Forgive us for our delay, Your Majesty."

The leader of the Seven Mages of the Constellations, Orion, bowed his head respectfully.

The other six mages mirrored his gesture.

Ragan's expression remained unchanged. He simply gave a small nod, his arms crossed behind his back.

"Thank you for responding to my call," Ragan said calmly. "As you can see, the dragon has broken through the magical barrier set by your predecessors."

He pointed toward the black dragon, hovering roughly three kiloters above the capital.

"I want you to exterminate it imdiately. If not, there will be countless casualties. It's not impossible that the entire capital could be destroyed," he added, his tone now stern.

"As you command, Your Majesty!" they responded in unison.

Without another word, they all straightened—and in the next instant, vanished from sight.

"That attack... was incredibly powerful."

Floating twenty ters above the ground, Evalyn frowned as she stared at her trembling right hand.

In her grip was the hilt of a radiant golden sword—the Divine Sword of Luminus, a legendary weapon once wielded by one of the Transcendents.

Although she had managed to withstand the blast, it would be a lie to say she wasn't shaken by the energy orb's overwhelming force.

"Looks like I still need more training," she muttered quietly.

She was only nineteen years old, and it had been just a year since she was acknowledged by the Divine Sword of Luminus.

She trained hard every day, yet deep down, she knew it still wasn't enough to defeat a dragon.

"Thank you for your help, Lady Evalyn. But you don't need to fight anymore—we've co to deal with the dragon."

A man's voice spoke calmly from beside her.

Startled, Evalyn turned her head and saw a figure in a black cloak, his face hidden beneath a hood.

Embroidered on the back of his cloak was a striking, gold-colored image of the Orion constellation.

"Orion?" Evalyn blinked in surprise, then let out a quiet sigh of relief. "Very well. I'll leave the dragon to you."

With that, she sheathed the Divine Sword of Luminus and descended, landing gracefully beside Nolan.

Seeing her return, Nolan couldn't help but smile.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Young lady, you're really sothing. I didn't expect you to withstand an attack from that dragon," Nolan teased with a playful grin.

Evalyn rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her big chest.

"Humph! That's nothing to praise. Helping others is everyone's duty—mine included," she replied coolly, though the smug smile tugging at her lips betrayed her pride.

"Wow! Pretty sister, you're amazing!" The little girl in Nolan's arms exclaid, her eyes shining with admiration.

Evalyn froze for a mont, then looked at the girl with curiosity.

"Hmm? You're quite the charr, little one," Evalyn said gently, pinching the girl's chubby cheeks. "What's your na?"

"Hehehe..." The little girl bead proudly. "I'm Masha Austin, Big Sister!"

"Austin?"

Evalyn wasn't the only one surprised—Nolan and Elina, standing nearby, exchanged shocked looks.

"Wait a minute... Is Duke Marvey Austin your father?" Nolan asked, incredulous.

Masha blinked her round eyes and nodded slowly. "Yes! That's my daddy!"

"Hiss!" Nolan inhaled sharply, stunned by the little girl's identity.

He wasn't sure if Masha was the daughter of Duke Austin's legal wife or a concubine, but one thing was clear—she was the daughter of Duke Marvey Austin, leader of the Eastern Duke family, the Austins!

His gaze instinctively t Elina's, who was watching him closely.

They exchanged slow nods—it was clear to both that this was far more important than it first appeared.

Evalyn clearly noticed the exchanged glances but remained silent.

Her eyes stayed fixed on the little girl in Nolan's arms, filled with quiet curiosity.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, a rush of wind swept from above. In unison, they all turned their heads to see the Seven Mages of the Constellations in motion.

They ford an intricate formation, with the black dragon trapped at its center.

The seven mages extended both hands forward and shouted in unison, "Star Slaughter Formation!"

Buzz!

Instantly, a massive magical formation—about two hundred ters in diater—blazed into existence in the air, resembling a colossal fiery red bird's nest.

Roarrr!

The dragon let out a fierce, enraged roar, clearly seething under the magical pressure.

It beat its enormous wings and charged at the formation.

Bang!

Bang!

Repeated crashes echoed through the air, but no matter how hard the dragon struck, it was useless.

The magical formation stood like an unbreakable steel wall.

"Now!" Orion's voice rang out sharply.

Buzz!

The formation flared with an intense, fiery red light so bright it blinded everyone.

Reflexively, Evalyn, Elina, Nolan, and Masha all shut their eyes.

Minutes later, the light gradually faded and finally vanished.

They opened their eyes and imdiately saw the dragon's condition. The once-mighty beast now looked pitiful.

Its skin was burnt, and smoking blackened wisps of foul smoke.

Blackish-red blood oozed from wounds all over its body, painting a grueso scene.

The massive creature hovered in the air for a few monts before finally beginning to fall—only to be held aloft by the magic of the Seven Mages of the Constellations.

"Is it over?" Elina asked cautiously.

"It's over! The dragon's dead, yay!" Masha cheered joyfully.

Monts after the little girl's cry, the square erupted once again.

But this ti, the noise wasn't from fear—it was cheers of relief and happiness.

Elina sighed in relief and smiled at Nolan. To her surprise, Nolan's face remained tense and serious, far from calm.

"Brother..." Elina began, but Nolan suddenly squinted and cut her off sharply.

"It's not over. The dragon isn't dead yet..."
