Dong!

Sharon was startled when she heard the sound. She turned around but saw nothing.

"What was that sound? Why would there be a sound like that inside this ship?"

No matter how much she racked her brains, she couldn’t co up with a suitable answer.

Pushing her confusion aside, she turned the knob on her door and walked out of her room.

But strangely, when she looked at the corridor outside, a greenish-white fog appeared out of nowhere and blocked her view.

"This..." Her eyes widened in surprise. "What is going on? Why is there fog?"

She looked to the right and left, but her view was still blocked by the fog.

Then she activated her wind magic to dispel it.

To her surprise, the fog was blown away for a mont before gathering around her again.

"What a strange fog. Don’t tell there’s an enemy attack," she muttered seriously.

However, she quickly dismissed that absurd thought. Cassiopeia and Draco were on guard, so it was impossible for the enemy to attack them.

Moreover, they were still in the sea of the Great Velmora Empire, and only a fool would dare to attack them.

Suddenly, she rembered Loid’s previous words.

"Be careful, Your Highness. The ghost ship sotis appears in the waters about two hundred kiloters from here. I hope you survive."

Thump!

Sharon’s heart beat very fast as fear crept over her.

"A ghost ship? Damn... Everything must be because of it!" she exclaid silently as she swallowed her saliva.

Truthfully, she was very afraid of ghosts.

However, to appear strong in front of her brother, she pretended to be brave so that he could rely on her.

And now, the ghost ship had appeared, and she didn’t even have the courage to go up on deck.

Nonetheless, her fear slowly faded when her concern for her brother’s safety took over.

"Nolan is in danger, and I can’t run away," she murmured, gritting her teeth.

Suppressing her fear, she walked to her brother’s room, which happened to be right next to hers.

Knock!

"Nolan, are you in there? It’s , Sharon! If you’re awake, open the door imdiately! Nolan!"

Sharon knocked repeatedly while calling out to him. Strangely, there was no sound from inside the room, and a bad feeling washed over her.

"Don’t tell , Nolan..."

Her words were cut off as she hurriedly tried to open the door.

Unfortunately, it was locked tight and impossible to push open with her strength alone.

Without a second thought, she activated her fire magic and blasted the door open.

Boom!

Wood shards scattered in all directions, but Sharon didn’t care. She rushed inside.

"This..." Her eyes widened in horror when she saw it—her brother was gone.

In her room, Cassiopeia was reading an interesting book.

It was written by the most famous author on the continent—Edward Layard.

The book, titled Journey to Inner Enlightennt, was very famous throughout the Empire—even in other empires.

For her, the book had a unique, beautiful, easy-to-understand writing style, and more importantly, its contents carried extraordinary aning.

Getting this book was not an easy task. She bought it when Blue Moon Trading House published it two years ago.

Many might wonder why she was reading it only now, even though it had been released two years earlier.

Well, that was because she had deliberately put it off so she could enjoy it. Besides that, she had also read other books by Edward Layard, which she had already finished.

"Hah..." Cassiopeia sighed deeply in admiration. "This work is even more interesting than his previous ones. If only I could et that man, my life would be perfect."

She didn’t have many desires. With her power and status, she already had what others considered impossible.

Yet, she had one great desire that remained unfulfilled—to et Edward Layard.

If only she could et him, she swore she would do anything for him to write an exclusive book for her, just like the one His Majesty had received on his previous birthday.

Unfortunately, that was probably impossible. He was so mysterious, and no one knew who or where he was.

Even the Blue Moon Trading House—the publisher of his books—said they didn’t know what he looked like.

Edward Layard only sent them his drafts and asked them to take care of the rest.

Cassiopeia sipped her coffee and continued reading. But suddenly...

Dong!

A loud noise ca from behind her. She was startled and quickly got out of bed.

"What was that?"

She narrowed her eyes warily as she glanced behind her, where there was nothing but the wooden walls of her room.

Slowly closing her book and placing it on the nightstand, she took her mage’s robe and put it on.

Then she walked toward the door and opened it. Instantly, a slightly greenish-white fog appeared and drifted into her room.

She was surprised and hurriedly stepped outside, then closed the door.

"This..." Her eyebrows furrowed slightly. Along the corridor outside her room, only fog blocked her view.

She raised her right hand slightly, and a purple light flashed for a mont before fading away.

"The fog isn’t dangerous," she muttered softly. "But where did this fog co from? Could it be rain? But I didn’t hear any raindrops."

Confused and curious, she decided to check the situation outside.

"Hoop! Hoop!"

Inside his room, Draco was doing one-ard push-ups. He wasn’t wearing a top, revealing his huge, strong, and beautifully defined muscles.

"Nine hundred and ninety-six."

"Nine hundred and ninety-seven."

"... Ninety-eight."

"... Ninety-nine."

"And... one thousand!"

After the final count, he stood up, panting.

"Night training is over. Now it’s ti to take a shower and rest."

He took his towel and started showering.

Twenty minutes later, he stepped out wearing a bathrobe, looking refreshed.

"Phew! A night shower is really refreshing!" he said with a happy smile.

Walking toward his bed, he sat on the edge and gulped down a full bottle of water in one go.

After finishing, he lay down lazily and was about to rest when a loud noise ca from behind him.

Dong!

His eyes opened again, and he quickly stood up, alert.

"That sound..." He looked behind him carefully. "Was it just my imagination?"

However, sothing in his heart told him it couldn’t have been.

After a mont of consideration, he decided to check it out.

He walked out of his room and was imdiately greeted by thick fog that obscured his vision.

Quickly, he closed the bedroom door and looked around at the quiet, fog-covered surroundings.

"An enemy attack? No... That should be impossible. I don’t sense any killing intent," he muttered. "It seems..."

His eyes narrowed coldly. "Sothing strange is happening, and it needs to be investigated."
