The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne Chapter 469: The Cornered Sylvia
"I-it’s impossible!"
The two giant humans she had summoned were not ordinary beings but manifestations of the angels’ will.
She had never imagined that a simple dragon strike could destroy one of them so effortlessly.
How terrifying!
Before she could recover from her fear, a powerful explosion rang out across the sky.
Sylvia looked up and saw that the other angel had also been destroyed by the white dragon just as easily.
"Is this all you’ve got, human? How pathetic. And you dare fight with such ager power?" the White Dragon sneered coldly.
Badump!
Sylvia’s heart pounded violently. She felt the breath of death drawing closer the mont she acted recklessly.
Gritting her teeth, she stared straight at the dragon and said in a calm voice, "Don’t underestimate , White Dragon. I am known as the Goddess of Light on land! It is because I possess unmatched power!"
As she spoke, she spread her arms and raised them high.
"Gate of Eternity... open!"
Buzz!
An enormous gate appeared in the sky, thirty ters wide and fifty ters tall.
Its surface was covered in strange ancient carvings. Anyone who looked at it would feel awe—or even fall to their knees without realizing it.
"Whoaa! Is this Sylvia’s ultimate move? What incredible power!" Nolan praised, clapping his hands.
Even so, he felt that this alone would not be enough to defeat the white dragon.
So he decided to keep watching.
"Gate of Eternity?" The White Dragon snorted coldly. "What a ridiculous na. Nothing is eternal in this world, including the gate you call forth, human!"
Roar!
A thunderous roar shook the surroundings. With a powerful flap of her massive wings, the dragon swooped straight toward Sylvia.
Realizing the dragon was approaching, Sylvia ford a hand seal and shouted, "Co out!"
Whoom!
The gate opened, and from within erged a giant hand.
The golden hand radiated a blinding light, making the atmosphere tense and the air feel heavy.
The hand clenched into a fist and slamd into the white dragon.
Bang!
The dragon’s massive body was struck with imnse force, crashing into the ground with a deafening boom.
Not stopping there, Sylvia commanded the hand to strike again, punching the dragon repeatedly until its form was almost entirely obliterated.
Nolan sat frozen, speechless at the sheer spectacle before him.
"Is that... magic?!" he muttered, his mouth twitching in disbelief.
Even so, he could not underestimate the "Eternal Gate" Sylvia had summoned. The threat it posed was palpable.
Sylvia panted, her face pale beneath the veil that covered it.
’My mana... It’s completely drained... Damn... this is dangerous!’ she muttered weakly.
Slowly, the Eternal Gate in the sky faded, along with the giant hand.
Her heart raced, and her body weakened within seconds.
The "Eternal Gate" spell was forbidden magic. It consud not only the caster’s mana but also their life essence.
That was why she avoided using it unless absolutely necessary.
But her opponent was a catastrophe-level threat. Without using it, the dragon could not even be hurt, let alone defeated.
As she panted, the ground where the dragon had vanished suddenly trembled.
Boom!
The mighty figure of the dragon reerged, leaping into the sky with undeniable pride.
"Human, you are quite talented. I didn’t expect your final attack to possess such trendous power—enough to even hurt ," the dragon said calmly. "Unfortunately, it all ends here. I can feel your strength waning. So, say goodbye. Think carefully before you act in your next life!"
Whoosh!
A purplish-blue aura erupted from her body, swirling like a violent windstorm with her figure at its center.
Then, fifty purple-white energy spheres ford in the air, hovering before her mouth and between her wings.
"Hah... Hah..." Sylvia gasped, still struggling for breath, her helpless eyes fixed on the energy balls. "It seems I will truly die today. I’m sorry, Jisha... and also... Olivia."
It had been only five days since she had accepted Olivia as her disciple.
Yet they had to part ways before she could study the Arcanum Eyes or train Olivia to grow strong, as she had promised.
"Now, accept your death!"
Whoosh!
The energy spheres surged toward her at incredible speed.
Sylvia, resigned to her fate, closed her eyes and awaited death calmly.
But then—
"Don’t die, Master!"
Sylvia’s eyes snapped open in shock. All the energy spheres had frozen midair before suddenly exploding harmlessly.
She looked down and saw her disciple, Olivia, standing with her blindfold removed.
Her eyes, hidden until now, shone clearly and fiercely.
They were jet black, dotted with points of light, like stars scattered across the midnight sky.
At first glance, her eyes were srizingly beautiful, capable of captivating anyone who looked into them.
But those who knew better understood how terrifying they truly were.
They were called the Eyes of Annihilation.
"O-Olivia? You... What are you doing!? Run away!" Sylvia panicked, rushing toward her.
She tried to grab Olivia’s shoulders, but her body felt unbearably weak.
Olivia hurried to support her, preventing her from collapsing, and shook her head firmly.
"No, Master. I won’t leave you!"
Tears glimred in her deep black eyes.
Normally, Sylvia would have avoided looking directly at them. But this ti, she didn’t care, eting Olivia’s gaze without hesitation.
"Can you control the Arcanum Eyes?" she asked weakly.
Olivia nodded slightly, then shook her head.
"It’s not full control... but I can manage a small portion of its power," she replied calmly.
"Good!" Sylvia exhaled in relief.
Even if it was only a small achievent, it was remarkable.
Her expression imdiately turned serious as she forced herself to stand and positioned Olivia behind her.
"Go! Don’t co any closer! Where’s Jisha?"
"I’m here, Master!"
Jisha appeared, panting heavily, her chest rising and falling with each breath.
Sylvia fixed her gaze on Jisha, her voice sharp and commanding. "I’ll ask for an explanation later. Just wait."
Feeling Sylvia’s gaze, Jisha swallowed nervously. She glanced at Olivia, who lowered her head timidly.
"There’s no ti left. Get out of here, now!"
Sylvia bit her thumb, wiping the blood onto the palm of her left hand.
With a mysterious hand seal, she summoned a gate behind her and commanded, "Go!"
Olivia hesitated, but Jisha quickly pulled her through.
"Do you think I’ll let you two just escape!?"
The White Dragon lunged toward them—but Sylvia had anticipated it.
She raised her left hand and shouted, "Sky Barrier!"
Whoosh!
A protective do materialized, shielding them from the dragon’s assault. The dragon slamd into it with trendous force, making the do shudder violently, as if it could collapse at any mont.
Once Olivia and Jisha had disappeared, Sylvia exhaled deeply and muttered, "Even if I die, they’ll survive... that’s enough."
