The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne Chapter 617 Agreeing to the Request and a Condition
"Hmmm…"
Nolan humd as he strolled leisurely down the palace corridor.
He intended to et his mother to discuss so important matters concerning the Eastern Empire of Izanagi.
Besides, he had forgotten to give her the necklace Ryuuten had given him, so this ti he wanted to hand it over.
But suddenly, a soft whimper ca from his right. Startled, he turned and saw a woman silently crying on a swing.
The woman was breathtaking, with stunning pink hair. It was Seira, his eldest sister.
'Seira… what's happened to her? Why is she crying?' Nolan's eyebrows furrowed.
It was rare to see Seira in tears. She always appeared strong, never yielding to anything.
Nolan couldn't resist his curiosity and walked over to see what was wrong.
He asked softly, "Sister, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"
Seira flinched at the sight of him, quickly wiping her tears and turning her face away.
"It's nothing."
But Nolan didn't buy it. He stopped in front of her and knelt down, his voice gentler this ti. "Don't hide it from . I can tell sothing serious is bothering you. Now tell —could it be about that engagent we talked about?"
He reached out and brushed the tears from the corners of her eyes.
A wave of relief washed over Seira, helping her calm down bit by bit.
She looked up at him and nodded. "Yes… it's about the engagent. Mother is forcing to et that man. I have to go to the Ancient Kingdom of Eron tomorrow morning. It's so frustrating."
She had already told her mother she didn't want to be engaged to Aldrian.
But her mother was relentless, constantly pressuring her to accept the decision, until Seira beca so frustrated that she ended up crying here.
Of course, it wasn't the pressure itself that upset her, but her mother's obvious favoritism.
Adalen, Clarise's favorite, was spoiled endlessly—anything he wished for, she would provide.
And Seria? Her mother had never once granted her even the smallest desire.
That was why resentnt and anger burned inside her. She tried to remain indifferent, but her heart still ached.
Nolan fell silent. Among all the possibilities he had imagined, he hadn't expected this to be what weighed on Seira's mind.
Taking a deep breath, he stood and walked behind her.
Under her confused gaze, Nolan began to push the swing gently.
"Sister, I have an idea. But first, I need to ask you sothing," Nolan said calmly. "Are you really sure you want to cancel this arranged marriage?"
Without a mont's hesitation, Seira nodded firmly. "Of course I don't want it! If I had the choice, I'd reject it imdiately!"
She had seen Aldrian before. Although handso by most n's standards, he didn't interest or attract her in the least.
Hearing her honest answer, Nolan smiled faintly. "My idea is a bit crazy, but I hope you'll hear out."
Seira's curiosity was stirred, and she watched him with an expectant look.
Nolan stopped pushing the swing and leaned close, whispering into her ear, "The plan is…"

The next morning, Seira walked toward her mother's room and opened the door.
Clarise, putting on her makeup, was startled. She turned and furrowed her brow at Seira.
"Do you have no manners? Walking into your mother's room without knocking! You're so stubborn—you never change," she snapped irritably.
Seira ignored the scolding and stepped forward.
"I want to talk to you about sothing."
"Talk about sothing? What is it?" Clarise furrowed her brow. Sensing her intentions, she narrowed her eyes and snapped coldly, "Don't even think about refusing the arranged betrothal I've set. You must go to the Ancient Kingdom of Eron today. If you don't, don't bla for taking harsh asures."
Her threat was clear, but Seira didn't flinch.
"Don't threaten . I'm tired of hearing it," Seira replied calmly, folding her arms. "I didn't co here to refuse the engagent you arranged. On the contrary, I want to discuss it with you. I'll obey your order from yesterday—but there's one condition."
Clarise's face froze for a mont before breaking into a joyful smile.
"Tell —what is it that you want? But rember, your request can't be sothing I can't fulfill. Otherwise, I won't grant it."
"Don't worry, I know my limits," Seira said casually, tossing her hair. "All I want is for Nolan to co with to the Ancient Kingdom of Eron."
Clarise was taken aback—she hadn't expected that request.
"Is that really all you want?" she asked doubtfully.
At first, she had thought Seira would ask for sothing grand. Instead, her request was completely unexpected: to have Nolan accompany her on the journey to the Ancient Kingdom of Eron.
"That's my only request. So, what do you say? Will you agree? If not, forget it—I won't do anything else you want."
She turned to leave, but Clarise hurriedly called out.
"Wait! Alright, I'll grant it. That's really all, right?"
"Yes, that's all."
Without looking back, Seira left the room, leaving Clarise beaming with joy.
"Hehehe! Finally, that stubborn girl has given in. This is a huge victory!"
A laugh escaped her lips. She hadn't thought that Seira would yield so quickly.
Support from Aldrian and the Ancient Kingdom of Eron was crucial for Adalen in the battle for the throne.
His position was particularly weak—especially after the conflict between Ragan and her father, the Singularity of Light.
So, she intended to use Aldrian's influence to indirectly support Adalen.
Although rules forbade soliciting aid from other kingdoms, what she was planning didn't actually break them.
What she sought was Aldrian's prestige as the prospective king of that kingdom.
With that, the nobles would surely hesitate before sidelining or dismissing Adalen as a candidate worthy of support.
Imagining this, Clarise couldn't help but smile broadly.
What she didn't realize, however, was that behind Seira's agreent lurked a trap, poised and waiting.
It was only a matter of ti before it fell—and when it did, she would surely regret forcing Seira to accept the arranged marriage she had orchestrated.
