Immediately Jia Li left the cafe and got into her car, she connected her phone to her car's Bluetooth and immediately dialed DanDan's contact before driving off.
Jia Li tried her number several times but she didn't pick up, so she and no other option than to leave her a voice message. "DanDan call me immediately after you see this message, thank you!"
When Jia Li returned to her office, she immediately started contacting the other models on her list. She actually contacted their agency directly to ask if they would be free on the first Saturday in December for the show FJ will be hosting.
Once she gets a positive response, she would immediately inform them of her proposal, so they could set aside that date for her. Immediately after the last successful call, DanDan's call came in.
"Jia Li, I'm sorry that I missed your call, I was in a photoshoot when you called, hope everything is all good?" DanDan asked with a smile.
"Everything is all good. DanDan I have a job for you." Jia Li said to her.
"What kind of job?" DanDan asked as she got curious, then Jia Li went on to present her offer.
The response Jia Li got was unexpected. Instead of replying with words, DanDan had to scream out of excitement which almost damaged Jia Li's eardrum in the process.
"What! Do you need to make a request? Of course, I am available for this!" DanDan said in excitement. She was excited for the privilege opportunity to step her foot inside FJ and then model for her friend who was a popular designer. Of course, she would accept the job, as this will bring her a lot of benefits.
"I hope this won't get in the way of your schedule? Also, will your agency accept this?" Jia Li asked worriedly. She was a little bit worried that the date for the show may not be convenient for her.
"Hell yes, my agency will accept this big deal! This is a golden opportunity for me to rise, of course, they won't have any objection. Jia Li, thank you for this huge opportunity, I'm grateful!" DanDan said excitedly. She still couldn't get over the fact that this big deal that could change her life, was ing her away, and she was receiving it effortlessly.
"I'm glad this is convenient for you. You just need to send me your manager's contact, so I could inform him/her about this offer directly." Jia Li said to her.
"I will do that right away! I'm sure the girls will go crazy once I tell them about this!" DanDan said happily.
"I'm sure they will. I'm still working, I will talk to you later and don't forget to send your manager's contact to me." Jia Li said in a kind reminder.
Some minutes later after Jia Li had confirmed the booking with DanDan's manager, Jia Li took her new list to Sunny so she could go through them again.
Jia Li was not the only person at the stage of contacting models, someone else was as fast as her, that person was none other than, Marié.
Chyou who desperately wanted one of her team members to win the petition handed the model list to Marié without the latter asking for it but was rejected.
"I have my own models that I would want to work with since the pany permits that we can bring our own models, but any extra cost will be on us, so I don't need that list," Marié said to Chyou.
Chyou felt that Marié was disrespectful with the way she spoke to her, but there was no time to rebuke her. The only reason she sometimes tolerated the manner in which she spoke to her was because of her talent.
Even before getting into FJ, Marié has always been the first on the list amongst her peers, and that's the reason Chyou will always pick her to be in her team.
Chyou wanted the best people in her team, while Sunny wanted to raise the best team, there was a huge difference between these two.
When Chyou asked Marié about the models she wanted to use for the petition, the latter showed her the profile of those she wanted to work with.
Seeing the work experience of the models, and their popularity internationally, a huge frown appeared on her face.
"Getting these models will be difficult, and besides, the budget is limited, every other extra expense will have to be taken care of by you." Chyou reminded her.
"I know the pany can not afford more than their total budget for this petition, so I'm prepared to pay for the extra expense to get the models I want, but luckily for me, one of the model's is a close friend of mine, and she said she would bring the 4 remaining models as a way to cheer me up. I only have to pay for their feeding and hotel reservation." Marié replied confidently.
Just like any other person would think, Marié wanted to use the best models for her clothes. And she happened to have a friend in the model industry who agreed to model her clothes, and also bring the remaining models she would be needing for the petition.
Since money was not going to be an issue, Chyou gave her full support, and besides, those models had some years of experience, which was an advantage to her team.
Soon, everybody learned about the models Marié picked, and some were jealous of the fact that she could bring that kind of people to her team.
Marié's action became enough motivation for the people that were lost, and this made Marié very proud of herself.
After setting the matter about her models, Jia Li began to work on her third dress with the help of the assistant FJ allowed her to have.
For this petition, FJ made provisions for each of the newbie designers to have 2 people to assist them with their dressmaking.
Around 4:30 p.m. Jia Li allowed her assistants to leave from work, while she worked till 7 p.m. before deciding to tidy up her things.
Without Fu Hua's text, Jia Li wouldn't have known that it was already so late.
