Chapter 107: That Which Cannot Be Spoken

"Pollution?"Oscar narrowed his eyes."Looks like I’ll have to make another trip."

Corleon laughed.

"Priest Nyx was punished because he made a mistake,"Corleon said.

"Does the Bishop wish to judge my sins?"Oscar also laughed.

"I believe you would be delighted to share your knowledge at the Church’s Monastery,"Corleon said.

"I admit the Church’s power is miraculous, but Bishop, you should know that only magic is one of the fundantal forces of the world,"Oscar said, and then his figure vanished.

"I shall rember your words. When ti permits, I will return to the Church to witness the Lord’s great might."

"But for now, I must go and check that seal. Although I am curious about what lies inside, I certainly don’t want it to escape."

His voice gradually faded within the Church.

Corleon’s expression did not change. Nyx paused slightly and spoke.

"From the perspective of imparting knowledge, he is suitable. He is well-versed in noble etiquette, combat techniques, knight training, magical power, the accumulated wisdom of scholars, and even has so research in gastronomy."

"But his thoughts are sowhat too active, which might bring danger."

There was not a hint of concern in his words about Oscar escaping.

"Knowledge is knowledge. Once unearthed, it must be spread and inherited,"Corleon said.

"Isn’t it truth that the priests seek?"

"And only that which is known and acknowledged and practiced by all is truth."

"Just like those Gentry Families—when they enslave the common folk for so long that everyone thinks it is as it should be, the belief that the Gentry Families should enslave the common folk becos the truth."

Corleon turned and walked toward the Lord’s Throne.

"You wish for truth to be born from the Monastery?"Nyx couldn’t help but ask.

"I rely think that this knowledge must be inherited,"Corleon said without turning back.

"And once they learn, they will better comprehend the greatness of the Lord."

"This too is one of the things we, as Servants of the Lord, must do."

"Even the Gentry and Nobles?"Nyx asked.

"The Lord loves all people, whether they be commoners, nobles, scholars, or mages, He makes no distinction."

"What the Lord abhors are only sin and evil,"Corleon said as he turned around, holding the Slumbering Horn.

"It is called the Slumbering Horn, a Mystery from Baron Sacker’s side. But now, it is a Holy Relic of the Church."

"Though not as powerful and dangerous as when it held Mystery, now it is a controllable little toy."

Having finished speaking, Corleon gently blew on it.

The sound was very faint—so faint that Nyx only saw the motion of blowing, without hearing a sound.

After blowing, Corleon held the Slumbering Horn.

"The two Holy Relics of the Dark Creatures have also been dealt with. I gave that Bone Shovel to Cicero. He liked it very much, even wanted to na it after himself."

"Of course, Agamnon stopped him. Though the Holy Relics of the Dark Creatures don’t possess a True Na like the Treasured Tools,"

"Once they beco Holy Relics of the Church, they are recorded."

"The Birdcage is with Agamnon, and this White Dove was created from within the Birdcage,"Corleon said. The plump dove on the cross flapped its wings and landed on Corleon’s shoulder.

"They shall beco the Lord’s ssengers, bearing the Lord’s Gospel."

Corleon tapped the dove’s beak.

Nyx looked at the White Dove, its eyes very clear—he saw no trace of a beast’s wild nature.

"When you return, take it with you, Priest. Let it rember the location of the Small Church in Garcia Village."

"Understood,"Nyx nodded.

The White Dove flew from Corleon’s shoulder, landing on the backrest of the front pew in front of Nyx, tilting its head and eting Nyx’s gaze.

Corleon chuckled,"Looks like it likes the Priest."

With that, he walked outside the Church and instructed the Temple Warriors standing guard outside to bring sothing back.

"Oscar is an outstanding scholar,"Nyx said upon seeing Corleon return.

"Even if he were kept here, he would still find ways to use his words to guide the apprentices into doing dangerous things."

"Or lies, or the guidance of their own desires."

"He will use any ans to achieve what he wants to do."

Corleon shook his head."Lies are sin. Under the Lord’s gaze, he cannot speak lies."

"Every word, every sentence, and the aning expressed in the Lord’s Sanctuary shall co from his heart and be what he acknowledges."

A flash of gold flickered in Corleon’s eyes, causing Nyx’s body to tremble involuntarily.

Nyx fell into silence.

He suddenly felt a bit of sympathy for Oscar.

Corleon placed the Slumbering Horn back on the Lord’s Throne, and the two waited quietly.

Soon, the Temple Warriors carried the sleeping Oscar back.

After a slight bow, the Temple Warriors returned to the Church Entrance.

"How was your sleep this ti?"Corleon asked.

Oscar opened his eyes and stood up.

He opened his mouth, but no words ca out.

"Under the Lord’s gaze, you may not speak lies. That is sin,"Nyx said, as if reminding him.

"Every word, every sentence you speak must co from your heart and be what you acknowledge."

He looked up at the cross on the Lord’s Throne, not glancing at Oscar whose expression had turned extrely unsightly.

After a mont of silence, Oscar finally spoke.

"Terrifying. Endless darkness. No perception of ti passing. It was like stepping into death, and yet still feeling alive—only wrapped in boundless void."

"It is truly a terrifying power,"Corleon sighed.

"So, now, are you willing to remain in the Church’s Monastery to impart knowledge?"he continued asking.

"..."Oscar opened his mouth several tis but made no sound. His ridiculous appearance made Nyx burst into laughter.

Finally, Oscar let out a long sigh."I need a private room, and I want to determine the curriculum myself."

"Of course. The Monastery has just been established. A professional scholar like you naturally knows what knowledge should be taught,"Corleon nodded.

"However, content related to the Lord’s Teachings will be taught by Priest Nyx."

In Marquis Demitri’s Territory, inside the Marquis Castle, the Wolf God transford into Gray Mist and hovered. He spoke to Ymir.

"Those fellows at Blackrock Point have lost their patience. They want to completely crush the allied forces of the Principality of Corlay along with those Fishn."

Ymir’s expression did not change as he said,"We have already transford thirty thousand first-generation Werewolves. But that’s the limit. Those humans have adapted to the children’s attacks. Unless we pay a heavy price, we won’t be able to conquer even a single village."

"There’s also a roaming human group. They always manage to evade the children’s pursuits precisely."

"But they have no fixed residence, always moving around here. They also break into villages and take away the civilians inside, killing the Gentry and Nobles."

"Their leader cos from the York Territory."

"Besides them, the York Territory recently sent a powerful Knight, who is also constantly killing the children."

The Gray Mist rippled, and then those Vertical Beast Pupils in the Mist looked down upon Ymir from above.
