Chapter 327: From Today, I'm an Overpowered Hunter in Another World
"Hunter Kim Giryeo has amnesia!"
"It's not just his lungs that are the problem!"
"Wait a second—what's this about his lungs?"
"Enchanter. That."
"Oh my gosh!"
A complete ss had broken out, and I had no idea where to even begin fixing it. I raised my hoarse voice, trying to explain myself, but no one was actually listening.
"No, it's really not sothing to make a fuss about!"
And co to think of it, this whole issue with Earth-style illnesses is fundantally difficult to explain in a way that's convincing.
'Just to make them believe sothing like this, I can't exactly go casting unverified high-grade mind control magic on living creatures...'
If soone clearly looks sick but insists they're fine, just saying so isn't exactly convincing.
So then, how am I supposed to prove that I don't die from abnormal cell division? Should I pull off another resurrection miracle, like so kind of second-coming Jesus?
Why I pretended to have a chronic illness all this ti. Why I kept hinting that I wanted to quit the industry at the drop of a hat. If I were to explain all of that based entirely on the truth...
"Hmm."
Guys, the truth is... I'm actually a reincarnated tentacle alien, and the body I happened to end up in was born an F-rank. I didn't know how things worked around here, so I got caught up in all sorts of sses—and at so point, I ended up being seen as an S-rank, so I've just been faking it and looking for a chance to quietly retire.
—if I said that, the only thing that would change is the number of doctors coming into this room.
I tried to gauge the volu of information I'd need to convey to them in my mind—and imdiately gave up. There's no way I can sit all these Earthlings down and start recounting old stories again. Besides, I simply don't have the energy for it.
"Phew. It's annoying."
So before long, I said to them—
'Co to think of it—now that I've got my strength back, there's really no need to bend over backwards trying to convince everyone!'
I irresponsibly gave up on explaining and ended up forcefully kicking them all out.
"Anyway. Enough with the small talk—now that you've confird I'm alive, everyone out. I need to rest."
I'm hungry, and with my major organs having only just recovered, my head's all over the place.
I can't even control my mana property yet—at this rate, I might accidentally crush Gu Seohyeong with sheer pressure alone. So for now, I decided to kick all the Earthlings out and take so ti to gather my thoughts alone.
"..."
But as the other hunters one by one left with slumped shoulders, only one person, the Earthling with the shaved head, couldn't get up, with a look of not knowing what to do.
"Yoonseung-ah, it's okay. Really—there's nothing for you to worry about."
I gave him a reassuring pat on the back as he crouched beside the hospital bed and urged him to head ho for today. No matter how complicated things were, I promised that I'd find a way to explain it all to him—in a way he could understand—soon.
But at that mont, a familiar surge of magic power approached from the distance—and both of us turned our heads at the exact sa ti.
Tuk, tuk, tuk.
What we heard next was the everyday sound of shoe soles tapping against the hospital floor. Soone seed to be taking long strides, almost jogging down the hallway. Because of that, we ended up facing the source of the magic power sooner than expected.
"Huh?"
"Hmm?"
Eyes so piercing that his tear ducts were exposed, and bluish-purple hair that made him seem like he wasn't even the sa mammalian species.
"Kang Changho?"
Yeah. It was Kang Chang-ho. At first, I just thought, "Oh, that guy showed up at the hospital," a purely realistic observation. But then, a strange feeling—a sort of temporal dissonance—briefly flickered across my neurons.
But that didn't last long.
The towering Hunter strode confidently into the hospital room, then, without a word, clasped his hands behind his back and began silently staring at the patient.
"Ah! By the way, Hyung-nim! You definitely told to call this person before you collapsed, didn't you? Even though I couldn't even lift a finger back then, I heard everything!"
Ahn Yoonseung said it with a bright, innocent smile as he looked at the man who had just appeared.
"So I didn't forget! I jumped right on it, tracked down his contact info, and called Kang Changho-ssi here!"
Suddenly, a sentence I'd muttered before losing consciousness resurfaced in my mind—only to vanish just as quickly. Cold sweat poured down my back in an instant.
"Everything this A-rank Awakened here said is true."
At the ti, I was just thrilled to have my strength back and thought I'd have a little fun dangling Kang Changho out in the public square. But for him to actually show up right after my lungs exploded... that's a bit...
"I heard that Hunter Kim Giryeo was asking for soone just before passing out. But you'd already taken care of the situation so cleanly—so why would you go out of your way to call for ?"
Tremble, tremble, tremble.
For now, contrary to my fears, Ahn Yoonseung seed to have done a decent job of socially filtering out the curse words and respectfully carrying out my request. Judging by the flow of magic power, that S-rank didn't seem particularly angry at the mont.
So I quickly lay back down on the hospital bed and started making excuses.
"No, well... it's just that... I called for Hunter Kang Chang-ho because I was worried about him... The person suddenly went out of contact. Of course, once the raid ends, the first priority is to search for the Hunter."
"Oh."
"Whew, but why is it so hot in this room all of a sudden? Is the air conditioning broken or sothing? Ah, anyway, I'm feeling really sleepy right now. So... let's talk about the details later, okay?"
When I, drenched in cold sweat, suggested getting so rest, Kang Changho simply shrugged his shoulders.
"Go ahead."
At the sa ti, he added that I should leave a ssage once I'd fully recovered.
There's still the follow-up investigation regarding this incident, and that doctor who leaked patient information is supposed to co back too. Anyway, there's still a mountain of things to deal with.
'Oh my, my head.'
And then ca the crushing wave of ntal exhaustion.
Just as Kang Changho was rubbing his eyes and Ahn Yoonseung was getting ready to leave, looking like he might burst into tears, I asked one last question—before the hospital room emptied out completely.
"But wait a mont. Excuse , but could you possibly lend (justitia) a little later?"
That item to prove the truth seed like a good way to clear up the growing misunderstandings, so I thought of asking for it. But upon hearing this, Kang Changho stopped rubbing his eyes and confidently replied.
"I sold it, though?"
Oh my, f*ck...
***
How long had it been since he collapsed in despair after hearing that Kang Changho had sold that rare item?
Kliek.
A few hours later. On the hospital rooftop.
"Achoo!"
A full night had passed, and by now the sky had brightened into morning. The Earth-grown plants arranged around the rooftop were beginning to change their colors, preparing for the coming autumn. This hospital had done an excellent job maintaining its rooftop garden, leaving the top floor open for use by staff and patients alike.
After a short wait, a man with a stern expression walked in through the door and leaned against the nearby railing.
"Seoup."
It was the arrival of a reincarnated being who had landed properly on Earth. But having only just reattached his lungs less than 24 hours ago, he was still in no condition to recklessly use any sorcery. So, the man quietly draped the hospital gown—covered in that deathly atmosphere that made everyone in these mammals—over his leather clothes, and resigned himself to the boredom of recovery for the first ti in a long while.
Thump!
And it was a few minutes later. Just as Kim Giryeo was idly observing the world spread out beyond the building, the hospital rooftop door opened once more, and a familiar face walked in.
"Hunter Kim."
Even before, sensing her distinctive magic power hadn't been difficult. But now that his senses were fully awakened, the very shape of the world itself felt different.
"Yes. Good morning."
"I'm sorry I'm late. I ran into a Red Gate on the way here."
The blond Hunter pushed aside his idle thoughts and greeted the Earthling standing before him.
"But I ca here after receiving a call that you were looking for ."
Seonwoo Yeon faced the figure on the rooftop and brought it up directly.
"What's that notebook?"
"This?"
"What are you writing down?"
"It's just so quick notes. Don't worry about it."
Swish.
Kim Giryeo put away the convenience store notebook he'd been holding since earlier, folding his hands behind his back as he spoke.
"Anyway, the reason I asked to see you, Seonwoo Yeon, is because of the Enzo Chiano situation."
"Aah."
For reference, the incident that occurred yesterday had naturally beco a massive topic—especially with multiple overseas S-ranks being revealed as involved. Yet, even as the world buzzed in chaos, this rooftop garden—ant for recovery—remained calm and quiet.
"Seoup."
The blond man drew in a breath through his mouth, letting out a dry, quiet sound.
"Anyway, the bodies of those Beasts—you're saying they're properly stored here in Korea, right?"
Through the conversation that followed, his objective beca crystal clear. Once his rest was over, this alien soul intended to make examining the Beasts' corpses his top priority—in order to read the information embedded within them.
"That's correct. Their bodies and all related equipnt are considered key evidence in the case, so they're currently under the custody of the forensics division."
"Are you sure they're being properly secured?"
"If you're talking about the level of security... well, I'm sure they're doing their best on that end too."
"Okay. Well, it doesn't matter since we can track them down anyways if soone steals them."
A B-rank Awakened tilted their head at that and asked in return.
"And now?"
Back in the cave, when his head was crushed, it truly seed like the end. But after standing at death's edge, he returned alive—like an immortal being. Now, this man—presud to be an archmage—was exerting such mana pressure that even ordinary people in the sa hospital ward felt it bearing down on them.
Seonwoo Yeon faced this man and couldn't help but feel a sense of bewildernt.
"What's with the surprise? I've always been this strong, you know."
"Hmm."
"It just so happens that Kim Giryeo was a smoker, so there were a lot of issues up until now. But to put it taphorically—like so mortal arts novel protagonist—yesterday's events unblocked my ridians, so starting today, I can finally live properly."
"Hold on. What did you just say?"
"...There was this really worn-out comic book in the hospital library. I found it on my way out to buy the notebook and couldn't resist my curiosity..."
"Yes?"
"But unfortunately, I read it right after the dungeon shock, so I honestly couldn't tell where the fiction ended. I think I'll steer clear of this world's creative dia for a while."
But even with his sudden surge in mana, he was still undeniably himself.
Rational. And capable of making chilling decisions—the kind most people could never bring themselves to choose—without a hint of hesitation.
"A martial arts novel? Hunter, the public opinion is bound to get noisy soon about justifiable self-defense—are you sure you're okay with that...?"
Sotis, he even utters such absurd nonsense that it's hard to understand. Seonwoo Yeon furrowed her brows and briefly worried about him, but the alien responded.
"I'll take so ti to think about it before deciding whether I'll be okay or not."
"Hmm?"
"Anyway, now that my business here is done, let's go. No, this kind of report could've just been sent in a text ssage—so why did you co all the way here in person? Was the fact that the bodies are being stored supposed to be a secret or sothing?"
The woman with the long straight hair gave an awkward laugh.
"I ca in person because I wanted to check face-to-face that you were really okay. I heard from the others who visited that you'd woken up, but... sohow, it still didn't feel real."
"...Ah. Well, then."
After finishing the conversation, Seonwoo Yeon exited once again through the tal door. Since it wasn't even 9 a.m. yet, she was heading off to work.
"Poor mammal."
Now that the planet's native had left, Kim Giryeo was once again a perfectly free man. He turned his head back toward the hospital railing. Then, pulling out the notebook and pen he had hidden behind his back during the conversation, he began to think.
"The culprit behind the dungeon incident, the Earth-adapted versions of the various spells I can now use, Hwayeong, and on top of that, the karmic weight of all the lies that have now spread among my Earth acquaintances..."
He was still in the process of stabilizing his physical body, which was why he couldn't take action just yet. Even so, mountains of issues awaited him in the near future. But in truth, Kim Giryeo had already decided on the priority of them all.
The first priority was to read the mories from the Beast group before the bodies suffered further damage. And next...
"Hmm."
Swish.
Kim Giryeo flipped through the pages of the notebook he was holding. What appeared was handwriting in the Korean language—a script that had now beco strangely familiar to him.

The frog of the hunting industry. Despised as an F-rank by the major guilds. After enduring human trafficking, the Rakshasa temple, harassnt from anti-Awakened groups,
and now fierce battles with a new wave of Beasts—he had, at last, co to a certain resolution.
'Perhaps the ruling class of this planet has already crossed a river they can never return from.'
It was a thought he'd had for a long ti. If the selfishness of this planet's inhabitants had already crossed the threshold into danger—if it was clear that they would eventually destroy their own kind, other species, and even the planet itself like a low resilience virus—then should he really just stand by and watch it happen?
Now, the alien sorcerer has regained a significant portion of his core abilities. And through the countless events he had endured in this second life, he had finally reached a decision.
After spending enough ti reflecting deeply, once he felt they had crossed his own "line," he decided to completely purge those mammals!
'Depending on the observations, the remaining minor concerns might just resolve themselves automatically.'
Then, now that the resolve has been made, let's spend the day calmly observing the world—while waiting for the body to recover.
Now fully Awakened beyond even S-rank, the blond-haired man leaned his arms against the railing once more. The wind of Earth, on the verge of autumn, now felt pleasantly cool.
