The Incubus System Chapter 821. Illusion

Ethan's PoV

I reappeared a hundred ters away from Beel, my gaze firmly fixed on the continuing chaos. Beel's rampage showed no signs of abating, and my black sword had been completely engulfed by his amorphous body. It was a disconcerting sight.

To make matters worse, as my sword sank deeper into Beel's formless mass, I witnessed a grotesque transformation. His eyeball, which I had previously pierced, began to regenerate before my eyes. The sight was accompanied by a sickening hiss, a sound that seed to defy the laws of nature.

I snorted in frustration as I watched Beel's regeneration in progress. "This is really troubleso," I muttered under my breath. I extended my hand to the side, and my black sword that had been swallowed by Beel's formless body reappeared in my grasp.

My brain was working in overdrive, desperately searching for a solution to defeat this formidable foe. As I considered my options, a risky and untested idea began to take shape in my mind. It was a plan fraught with uncertainties and dangers. Very dangerous since I didn't know the effects and the risks.

Out of the corner of my eye, I caught sight of the demon hunters under Mrs. Clea's leadership. They were mobilizing to confront Beel's subordinates, not Beel himself. Mrs. Clea understood that a direct confrontation with the monstrous Beel would likely be futile and result in needless casualties. Instead, she was directing her team to focus on the lesser threats that Beel had brought with him, buying ti and space for to carry out my plan.

It was a smart move on her part, and I silently applauded her decision. Beel's subordinates, while dangerous, were not on the sa level as the demon lord himself. If we could dispatch them efficiently and swiftly, we might have a chance to weaken Beel's hold on the city. Besides, confronting Beel directly would be useless and would only kill them.

Beel, in his agony and rage, raised all his jelly-like tendrils and brought them crashing down onto the ground with a trendous force. A deafening roar accompanied this devastating act. The very earth trembled violently beneath his monstrous form, as if a cataclysmic earthquake had struck the city.

The ground quaked, and the shockwaves radiated outward in all directions. Buildings, once standing tall and proud, crumbled like paper, reduced to piles of rubble. The streets split apart, creating deep chasms that threatened to swallow anything in their path. The cityscape was being transford into a nightmarish hellscape of destruction and chaos.

As the ground shook and buildings crumbled around us, my demon subordinates displayed an incredible sense of agility and coordination. They gracefully leaped over falling debris, sorsaulted through the air to avoid tumbling rubble, and landed with cat-like precision. Their supernatural speed and strength allowed them to navigate the chaos with relative ease.

However, I couldn't help but notice the demon hunters struggling amidst the destruction, even though they were top and advanced demon hunters. Despite their formidable skills and advanced training, they grappled with the sheer force of the impact and the disorienting effects of my Demonic Curse.

I took a deep breath, the acrid scent of smoke and burning debris filling my lungs. The chaotic scene in front of was overwhelming.

My thoughts flickered to the demon hunters. I couldn't help but feel that they were nothing more than an annoyance amidst the chaos. They were the experts here, trained to handle situations like this, and their skills far surpassed my old self. But now… Sohow, they had beco re irritants, like persistent insects buzzing around a picnic.

In the midst of the chaos, my attention returned to Beel, the grotesque and formidable demon lord responsible for this cataclysmic event. It was ti to put my plan into action, to seize control of a situation that seed increasingly untenable.

'Don't overthink it, Ethan. Just do it,' I chided myself ntally, trying to banish the self-doubt that had started to creep in. I couldn't afford to hesitate or second-guess myself at this critical juncture.

Summoning my Demonic Spike once more, I watched as the black lances charged rcilessly toward Beel. This ti, however, my aim wasn't to pierce his core, but rather his grotesque head, or more precisely, his eyes. The lances sped at him with unwavering determination, and Beel, in a desperate attempt to fend them off, raised his slimy hands.

But I had another trick up my demonic sleeve – my Telekinesis. With it, I nimbly steered my lances away from his flailing appendages. They danced through the air, their trajectory carefully manipulated by my unseen power, until they finally found their mark on Beel's face.

A thunderous roar erupted from him as my lances struck ho. His vision was now a chaotic abyss of darkness and pain. In his blind fury, I hoped he'd be too occupied with healing his wounds and restoring his eyesight to track my movents accurately.

Seizing this montary advantage, I activated my teleportation skill, materializing in the thinnest part of his jelly-like body near the elusive core. I unleashed a barrage of my Demonic Spike, hoping against hope that this ti, I could reach that elusive core before it had the chance to escape once more.

But, alas, my hopes were dashed yet again. The core exhibited an eerie sort of intelligence, sliding away within Beel's monstrous form as if it possessed a mind of its own.

I couldn't help but grind my teeth together in frustration. This battle was far from going the way I'd planned.'Ti to improvise!' I thought.

I teleported once more, reappearing right in front of Beel's face just as his grotesque eyes regenerated. His resilience was uncanny, but I had one more ace up my sleeve.

Knowing that direct attacks had proven to be insufficient, I decided to switch things up. 'Illusion!' I used my skill.
