There was no way Lex was going to call himself the Innkeeper, even in a situation where he was sure he was going to win. The universe was full of things he couldn’t even imagine, so unless he was in the well-protected environnt of the Inn, he was going to make no claims to that position.

Within the new hell that Lex had created under the na of the Abaddon Inn, Lex studied the Gon race mber, analysing every single thought that went through his mind.

In truth, he had not teleported them anywhere. Instead, Lex had used all his recent experiences and amalgamated them into one of the most potent tools he could imagine - one that was even more devastating than pure, brute strength.

He had used the body as the prison, the soul as the prisoner, and the spirit as the conduit between the technique, himself and his target. There was only a single ultimate purpose of this technique: to break the target’s mind. Of course, it could be used for a myriad of other reasons as well.

Back then, Lex had used a mix of ntal techniques and just simple lies to confuse Jeffery about the difference between reality and illusion, causing him to have a ntal breakdown, and reveal critical information. He could only pull that off due to his extensive preparation and help from external sources.

Now, though, this technique served as a way to replicate that feat.

The Abaddon Inn only existed within the target’s mind, though it was very much a real place. In fact, Lex had used the fluid laws of Abaddon themselves, alongside the characters from the Book of Changes, to create this artificial place. Subsequently, everything that happened within here to the target would reflect in reality as well.

"You are a re human," the Gon race mber said, hiding the fear he was feeling from showing. "How dare you stand before with such bluster? Your inferior race exists only to wash our blades with your blood. Kneel, and present yourself for judgnt."

Lex felt a certain pressure on him once he heard the command, but it was hardly of any consequence to him. He could see how it might be difficult for normal humans to overco, but it was no longer sothing he had to bother with.

"Please, I implore you," said Lex, his voice drenched in sincerity. "Do not be so weak. Show so real resistance. Make this hard for , or else I might start to beco arrogant once again."

The Gon race mber was offended by Lex’s words, and insulted by his genuine sincerity. He roared, and rushed forward to attack Lex, putting his strength on display.

But... compared to how Grimshaw’s every action was a threat to Jack’s existence, compared to how Oroo hid a trendous power behind her every word, compared to the unfathomable strength that Cornelius seed to keep in reserve, the attack was just too lacking.

Lex sighed with disappointnt before once again falling back into the persona of the Invincible Tyrant.

"Dear guest, before we begin the tour of the Inn, allow to show you to your room," the Tyrant said, his voice formal and polite.

A distorted face suddenly sprang from the ground, its mouth open wide so that it could unleash its soul tearing scream. It happened too quickly, the open mouth appearing in front of the Gon race mber before it could retreat. As it tried to slow down, the face fell forward, swallowing it in the darkness.

He found himself in a new, much darker room, full of so liquid that ca up to his knees. A faint, red hue was the only light in the darkness, vaguely showing dark outlines of furniture all around him.

The Gon mber tried to wield laws, tried to call them to his aid, but they kept slipping from his hands, as if he had been trying to capture sand in a sandstorm.

In truth, Lex kept the laws fluctuating constantly. This was Abaddon, and the only consistent thing about it was its inconsistency. Using the characters from the Book of Changes, Lex kept the laws in a constant state of flux so that they were changing too fast for the Gon to make use of, all the while keeping them in a state where his Inn would remain undisturbed.

"This is your bed, where you can lay down if you need rest," a voice spoke out from the darkness echoing all around him.

Chains erupted from the water, shackling his arms and legs before pulling him back onto a flat surface under the water. The Gon tried to resist, but the liquid beca extrely thick, making it harder to move and absorbing all his force. At the sa ti, it began to flow down his nose and throat, suffocating him.

The subtle fear was now turning into horror as he tried to resist, but kept failing. He was trying to use so of his contingencies, but for so odd reason, they weren’t working.

The actual reason was simple. He only thought he was activating them, whereas in truth, everything was happening inside his mind. His actual body stood perfectly still, not moving, not breathing, not circulating any energy, save what it did subconsciously.

Even a Heaven Immortal was no threat if he could not use the greatest weapon at his disposal: Relational Laws. Since Lex had deprived him of access, for however little a ti, he was at Lex’s rcy.

"This is your cupboard, where you may store your belongings," the voice said once more, echoing even beneath the suffocating liquid.

Through his burning eyes, the Gon race mber saw a cupboard opening, but instead of clothes or belongings with, he saw his mories, his thoughts, his concerns. One by one, they escaped his body and hung themselves within the cupboard, as if being stored, leaving him only with his ever growing terror.

Maybe he could have thought of a way to escape if given the opportunity, but for that he would need to think, and with Lex pulling every thought directly out of his mind, that was impossible.

Soon, the Gon race mber was left with no thought except the feelings of helplessness, fear, and suffocation. Everything else had been neatly stored in the cupboard.

The Tyrant sighed.

"I didn’t even get to show you our other services. Well, let at least help you tidy up your belongings."

The cupboard morphed, turning into a walk-in closet, allowing the Tyrant to casually step in and take a look.

"I didn’t even need the Lotus form," Lex lanted. Internally, he kept telling himself not to beco too arrogant, yet it could not be helped. He felt that now, only the most elite of the elite, the highest echelon of the universe, could pose any real threat to him. All normal people, even if at a higher cultivation level, could no longer challenge him.

He still wouldn’t take on a hundred Heaven Immortals, but there was nothing stopping him from taking them on one at a ti.
