The Space-Sharks weren't dumb. In fact, their level of intelligence could be considered far greater than a normal human. After all, how could soone at such an imnsely powerful cultivation level remain non-sentient?
The reason, then, that they attacked each other with such wild abandon was Lex. Sure, punching things felt nice, but his powers went beyond that. Yes, he was not a re brute anymore.
Through his Supremacy, he forcefully caused them to enter a confused and delirious state, while making them view each other as their target. After that, all he needed to do was pose. Eclipse had warned him that he should be wary because everything Primordial was strong. Well, that kinda, sorta included him now too.
Once the dozen sharks were weakened enough from fighting, and instead, used Supremacy in a different way. He weakened their spirit before invading their minds with his own spirit sense, ready to bind them. Yet it was at this phase that he encountered an unexpected amount of resistance.
No matter what strategy he used, or how he tried to subdue them, it was not possible. The amount of resistance they showed should not have been possible considering their weakened state, yet that affected nothing. Eventually Lex ca to a certain conclusion: Primordials could not be enslaved. They could not be tad!
Maybe if he was much stronger he would be able to, but the resistance that they put up was far stronger than it should have been. At his current level, he could not do it. But so be it - it wasn't like he had no other options.
Lex chained up all the sharks using his spirit sense and the ability of his right. eye to manifest formations and Glyphs, before restoring their sanity to them. "Greetings, gentlen," Lex said with a warm smile.
Yet, instead of responding to his clearly amazing generosity and hospitality, the sharks barred their teeth at him, demonstrating their aggression even in their weakened state.
"It seems you all are slightly upset with , but other than that one fellow, I have not laid a single hand on all of you. In fact, you all were the ones attacking , not the other way around. In truth, there is no reason for us to be enemies. I have a deal I'd like to propose: the twelve of you work for for a bit, leading my chariot, and I'll set you free once I leave. How does that sound?"
As Lex spoke, he did not forget to maintain his warm smile. Unfortunately, his hospitality was not appreciated.
"I will feed your entrails to the dogs!" one of the sharks said. It was clearly very angry - maybe because it was the one Lex had punched. Either way, the shark was ready to rain down a deluge of insults on Lex, but it never got the chance. Faster than thought, Naraka flashed and returned to Lex's spatial ring, all without Lex laying a single hand on it. The next mont, the shark that had insulted Lex split in two, a straight line cutting it down the middle.
"You know, back where I'm from, there's a very famous cuisine that consists of uncooked fish - it's called sushi. So, are you open to working with or do you want to contribute your strength in the form of shark sushi. I'll admit, I've never eaten shark sushi before."
A heavy silence fell upon the region as the sharks glared at Lex. Outside, Eclipse sat on a rock and enjoyed the show. Lex had barely entered and he was already putting on a performance.
"You know, I bet a Reality TV show following him around the universe would be pretty popular," said Eclipse to Harriot.
Harriot wanted to argue, but the scene of 11 Space-Sharks willingly being chained up and getting latched to a chariot that Lex pulled out of nowhere forced him into silence. For so reason, this is not how he imagined one would traverse the obstacle course.
"Shall I cancel the Primo-worms then? I doubt he'll be stepping on the ground," Harriot made an observation. Yes, even Harriot could not see the future here. "Why?" she asked, sounding genuinely confused. "Just tell the worms to jump."
Harriot was, once again, stumped. Well, it wasn't as if it was impossible. It was just that the last ti the worms jumped, Eclipse slapped them out of the sky, questioning what kind of worms fly in the sky?
"Don't sweat it too much," Eclipse said, waving her hand. "The worms aren't important. It's the spiders you should watch out for. On the way here, we passed the Vanishing Tarantula. I'd bet an arm and a leg that he's going to send his kids after Lex"
Harriot sighed, but said nothing. The last ti Eclipse lost a bet where she bet an arm and a leg, she took them off the nearest baboon. He'd hate to see her lose, but the consequences of her victory... well, it was Lex's problem anyway. Lex, anwhile, looked out into the distance with his hands folded behind his back, his hair flowing in the wind, his chariot being flown across the sky by eleven Space-Sharks.
Yes, why take shortcuts to his destination if he can fly there? If he stayed below the ceiling of crystal, but far above the troubles on the ground below, who could bother him? All he needed to do was strike a cool pose.
Of course, in truth, he was doing more than posing. He was surveying the area around him, observing how all the many beasts and creatures down on the surface behaved and used their powers. He observed their power levels, their strengths, their weaknesses, everything. It just so happened that he was posing while he did all that.
Thus, when the ground suddenly shook beneath him, Lex rely turned his head sideways to look down. What he saw was a hole. To be more specific, he saw a mouth. An open mouth. A worm's open mouth, approaching him quickly.
