Lex had acquired his knowledge about how to asure the ti of the Nexus event, as well as how to locate the Nexus from the Kun Peng within the forest within Abaddon. He had been told that no one would have knowledge about the Nexus anymore, and as it turned out, he was not exaggerating.
Lex had assud that while this information would be sowhat of a big deal, it shouldn't be anything too crazy since even Jack can gather the necessary information with his low cultivation level. He was sorely mistaken. The Nexus event was sothing mired in secrets, and touched upon conspiracies that went all the way back to the early days of the universe.
Even if Ventura or Eclipse truly knew anything about the Nexus, neither of them would acknowledge it or even hint to admitting it simply because access to that knowledge was extrely revealing. Yet the Innkeeper seed oblivious to the insinuations of what he said. Or, at the very least, the truth of his identity beca even more mysterious because only a handful of people in the whole universe were qualified to comnt on the Nexus.
Was it possible that the Innkeeper was actually one of the beings that had surpassed the Dao realm, but he was just pretending not to have? After thinking about it for so ti, both of them concluded that not only was it possible, it even made sense to a certain degree.
After all, it was well known that Nuwa did not create the Humanoid race all on her own - not really. Soone had helped her back then.
But the truth of matters from back then were things that even Eclipse and Ventura could not be sure of. After all, even if they were alive back then, they were doing their own things. How could they know the intimate details of Nuwa's early life? Back then, she was nothing special. She was just like the rest of them!
After a mont of contemplation, Eclipse shrugged. What did she care about who the Innkeeper was? What mattered more to her was that soone was trying to speed up the Nexus event. Sothing like that wasn't as simple as making big things happen and then waiting for the Nexus event to occur. No, the key was to cause a big shift in destinies, and to cause those changes on a sufficient scale to actually speed up the Nexus event required a certain level of knowledge.
"Dammit, the Innkeeper, you're such a big tease!" Eclipse said in exasperation. "You're making want to leave my garden."
The pillar, which was already very bright, suddenly beca blinding. It was as if the sun took steroids before deciding to stand in soone's face.
Also, it turned out that Eclipse being tempted to leave the garden was a big secret. Oh, right, technically that was a big secret since her every action affected the universe and if people understood her temptations, or at least her thoughts, they could make subsequent preparations.
For a mont Eclipse forgot about that because she was too used to being in a company that wasn't bothered by her words. Even that little Lex had less of a reaction than these Dao Lords. She could not help but snort, and glared at the Innkeeper. If he was going to invite so many random people, he could have at least brought his own son along for the exposure.
So people just weren't cut out to be decent parents.
anwhile, Voidmaw and Ventura shared excited looks! Damn, the Innkeeper was far more effective than they even dread! They'd just casually asked him to get her to leave the garden hours ago, and he was already tempting her in such a seemingly unknowing and coincidental way.
The man was a true casanova! Voidmaw had nothing but respect for his ga!
"Haha, well in that case allow to be the next one to share a secret," Voidmaw exclaid with excitent. "I once asked the Primordial Queen to start a family with , and have kids while we were married. She agreed - on the condition that I be the one to car-"
Voidmaw disappeared. His existence, and even the mory of his words disappeared. Even the Enigma Pillar excreted the words it had recorded out of its records out of sheer fear that it would be next.
A few seconds later, Voidmaw returned once more, feeling like he was forgetting sothing.
Eclipse, naturally, had not made a move. She had all her abilities sealed, so how could she make a move?
Instead, her very faithful senate, who had a deep understanding of her likes and dislikes had made a move on her behalf. It was not Harriot, or even the Golden Dragon King that she kept in her garden who had acted - but another. One of Eclipse's most loyal guardians. Her identity would remain a secret, for now, unless the pillar sohow managed to reveal it as a reward.
Even Ventura was looking deep into the garden, but he could not sense who had made a move, and when. How could soone outside the barrier have made a move? They couldn't, yet he did not feel anyone make a move. Could it be Nulli? But how could she hide from his senses?
"Anyway, like I was saying," said Voidmaw after a mont of confusion. "Let be the next one to share a small secret. Once the universe matures, there will be a new type of realm that will co into existence. Don't ask what kind, because if I tell you, the secret won't be so small anymore."
Voidmaw winked teasingly, yet instead of feeling irritated at his antics, so of the female Dao Lords suddenly felt inexplicably shy.
The light on the pillar finally dimd, and changed in color. It was no longer
pure white. Instead, now it was slightly yellow.
"The pillar has now entered its third activation phase, in case anyone was wondering," said Harriot.
