"Hooh...? I never t a Werewolf that would be so courteous with ," Rex smirked lightly.
Even when he t the Storm Prince or whoever, no one referred to him with formalities—one that befits his status as the Royal Black Prince. All of them viewed him as a fraud, a fake kind of Werewolf as he didn't co from their actual lineage and could possess a human form.
It was his first ti hearing an actual Werewolf referring to him by his title.
Surprisingly, the figure bowed a little with grace in response, "A being like you could only be referred to, by your official title. Regardless of your origin, you are a Werewolf—and also the one who killed the Fifthborn"
Rex listened to the figure attentively, trying to pick up anything she unconsciously spilled.
But underneath it all, he was frowning hard.

Seeing the figure—Kassandra's stats, Rex frowned.
He knew that she was tricky, he could tell that almost instantly before scanning her.
Unlike the mid-ninth-rank realm before the Second Breath, her stats were extrely high.
It was as if she was a peak-ninth-rank realm prior to the Second Breath.
Additionally—Rex was also confused, as to what the words beside her race ant, Rex had never seen sothing like that. But he had no ti to ask the System, he needs to keep his alert high against Kassandra.
For worse, she didn't seem to be troubled by the situation she was in—caught red-handed in trespassing their territory and observing Rex—cornered by both Rex and Kyran and also now aware that Rex could command multiple energies.
Anyone in her shoes would be panicking as she was caught by Rex, the strongest of the era.
However, that was not the case for her.
It was almost like she ca here to sight-see—fearing no threat of being caught at all.
Keeping his power channeled in case Kassandra tried to escape right now, Rex voiced out his one question—in mind. Even though it should be obvious he decided to ask, "Are you the one who dominated Jessica?"
"If you an that weird-looking Human, then yes," Kassandra replied, being truthful.
Finding sothing funny, she giggled lightly and continued, "I wanted to escort her back and quickly made my leave—but your energy and presence are very... hard to resist. I am curious, about the Werewolf who did the impossible. Now, here we are, face to face,"
Ignoring her antics, Rex asked again, "What ssage are you trying to convey to ?"
Even though he knew that Jessica was a ssage for him from Kassandra—he did not know, what the ssage was, and wanted to gouge it out of her mouth. However, he knew that she was not here to kill him or declare war on him.
If she did, then the System would undoubtedly initiate a killing intent quest.
Had that appeared, Rex would've plotted to kill her right now.
So, the fact that there was no killing intent quest showed Kassandra didn't co for that.
But, to make sure, Rex decided to ask the System.
A killing intent quest would appear if soone wanted to kill , based on your biased view of judgnt of course—and a sudden quest would appear, if soone wanted to kill, any of my pack mbers, right?
Upon hearing this, Rex nodded in affirmation.
From the System's answer—he ruled out the possibility that Kassandra may not harbor killing intent toward him, but toward the others instead. But, as opposed to answering his question, Kassandra asked back curiously, "Don't you want to know why I'm confident that you can not catch ? Even though you are probably stronger than ?"
"If you are eager to explain it, then explain," Rex raised an eyebrow.
He could tell that Kassandra wanted to tell him the reason.
In response, she smirked and added, "It's because you are not being true to yourself"
Rex beca even more confused after hearing her answer.
Seems like Kassandra likes to play mind gas, being indirect, one of the troubleso ones.
Before Rex could respond to that Kassandra suddenly darted to the right, heading straight to—the edge of the Humming Damned Forest. She was aiming to escape, but Kyran, was ready for this as he also moved at the exact ti Kassandra moved.
Also responding as fast, Rex chased after them, activating his King Mark again.
Despite his fatigue, he forced himself to keep going.
Swoosh!
Just like that, three streaks of light blitzed through the forest.
At the very front was the yellow streak of light being chased by the blue and red closely.
Realizing that Kassandra was extrely fast—Kyran swiftly channeled his power and infused the ground with it—summoning three sharp dark blue icicles aid to impale her. But, with a relative ease, Kassandra swiped her claws and shattered them.
Seeing this, Kyran's eyebrows dipped into a frown, "She's on par with Brigitta, or stronger"
Only a handful could deflect his power that easily.
Recovering from the surprise, Kyran manipulated his moonlight energy into his legs before he sped up, covering the distance between him, and Kassandra in a split second. Kyran reached out his claws when he was near, trying to catch Kassandra's cloak, and yanked her back.
But when his claws were an inch away, his mind was assaulted by pain.
It stunned him for a brief second.
As Kyran refocused back on Kassandra, his brow furrowed in confusion.
Unlike earlier—before him stood not one, but three identical figures—causing him to question which to pursue. Caught in hesitation, Kassandra took advantage, slipping away from Kyran's grasp as he struggled to discern the real one from the illusions.
Pausing briefly, he shook his head vigorously, trying to recover from the ntal attack.
anwhile, Rex watched this whole ordeal from the back.
