anwhile, as Kyran was exacting his tedious task, Rex was still cramped inside the castle.
He was not aware of what Kyran was doing at this mont.
Since he purchased the information about achieving the tenth-rank realm from the System—he was surprisingly guided by the System in his subconscious, through holographic cues. He could see strings and lines as he viewed the dias inside his body with his inner eye.
Even though already learned and morized the process, this was still a great help.
Instead of trying to rember the process, while ditating—Rex, could focus solely on the ditation as the holographic lines helped him show the place and step he needed to focus on with his arcane mana, slowly beginning to pave the way to the tenth-rank realm.
And as expected, achieving the tenth-rank realm is not an easy process.
Its process began with Rex shaping his heart dia to the next form, the required form.
He needs to shape all of his dias before continuing the next step.
Currently, his heart dia take the form of a glowing uneven ball with many bumps.
Rex needs to change the shape of the heart dia—into a smooth, circle—as smooth, as the best statue a famous sculptor makes and coat it with his arcane mana to turn the dia from its basic form into its elental-specific identical to those in the tenth-ran realm.
From the System's interface, Rex knows exactly what the finished product would look like.
Because of that, it's easier for him to finish this process than others.
Like molding clay—he needs to shape his heart dia using his arcane mana as his hands.
As opposed to the uneven circle the heart dia looks like right now—Rex needs to turn into a smooth circle, that is cracking with the power of black lighting. Since he was cultivating his lightning elents—the outer layer of the dia, if he succeeds called the mana scale would also be empowered by his black lightning.
Mana scale would differ according to the current cultivated elent.
If it's the water elent then the dias would be coated with water and so on.
Doing this takes ti as the process is ticulous and detailed.
Additionally—since this would be the most important process, to reach the tenth-rank realm, he couldn't rush it either—as it would affect his speed and success chance in connecting his soul with Devo's soul.
Rex had to take his ti in doing this, it needs to be absolutely perfect.
Not only would it affect his progress, but one wrong move would also destroy his dia.
If sothing like that happened, his realm would take a huge blow.
He would probably even fall a couple of big realms because of it, and that's extrely bad.
Even then, Rex was not discouraged by the difficulty.
Sothing has to be hard to obtain if it has any value whatsoever—and reaching the tenth-rank realm is definitely an achievent—so it was obviously hard. Having confidence, in his control over arcane mana, he expected that he would excel in this.
Despite its disconnection, this is more or less the sa with controlling his kingly energy.
Just like the kingly energy—the sensation of controlling mana or arcane mana to this degree is basically the sa. One key difference is that—the kingly energy should be way harder to control as it also strains the physique instead of only his mind.
Moreover, the fact that his affinity to his elents is high should also help quite a lot.
Controlling mana and arcane mana should be easier for him.
But Rex was dead wrong for thinking this.
"Eurghh..." Rex grunted and snapped out of his ditation state.
One could see his chest heaving up and down rapidly, he was panting and sweating heavily.
He was smoothening his heart dia, with his arcane lightning mana—the process turns out to be akin to doing heavy lifting, it included ntal, and also physical exercise. Even with his robust power and control, he needed to rest after what seed to be an hour of cultivating.
Usually, ti flies during ditation—but ti seems to be dragging in this one.
It barely moves while he is in ditation.
Like a snail—Rex thought that days had passed, from the start of his ditation, but he was wrong and the System confird that it had only been barely an hour. It ca as a shock to him as this ditation was the shortest ditation he had ever done.
Even an Awakened in the early realms could ditate way longer than this.
Rex felt his pride was hurt by realizing this.
ditation objective: Polishing the heart dia.
Duration: 1 Hour and 33 Seconds.
Progress gained: 0.01%
Total progress: 0.01%/100%
Upon seeing the notification, Rex frowned as it was even worse than he thought.
His eyes were particularly glued on the progress gained section.
It was the most surprising section out of all.
"An hour of ditation for 0.01%...? If that is the case—it would take over a year to finish polishing my heart dia. Since I have 14 dias altogether, binding and Devo together, then does that an I'm going to finish polishing my dias—after ditating for more than ten years?!" He thought out loud in utter shock.
Mathematically, that is what the System basically stated through that panel.
He would not reach the tenth-rank realm in the near future.
At that realization, his confidence plumted instantly as the calculations were devastating.
It was worth ntioning that he reached the ninth-rank realm in under a year.
One of the reasons, why there were a lot of people—who believed him, to have a monstrous talent, destined to be the strongest. However, now he was greeted by the news that he was not that talented as it would take him more than ten years to finish the process of achieving the tenth-rank realm.
He most certainly doesn't have that kind of ti.
Not only would the mutated animals begin to finish mutating once more soon—but all of his enemies would also definitely make several moves—before the ten-year span. He could not wait that long to only reach the tenth-rank realm.
"If I achieve the tenth-rank realm, I'm certain that I will dominate," Rex mused in thought.
But then his frown deepened, "Even so, there's no guarantee that by that ti, other entities would not achieve, the eleventh-rank realm already. I do not know their way of achieving the tenth-rank realm, but I assu there would be so races, that are faster than the rest. Say, what should I do first? Should I focus on the other elents first?"
Compared to achieving the tenth-rank realm, he could instead focus on his other elents.
If reaching the tenth-rank realm for his lightning elents, would take that long then he was extrely tempted to go cultivate his other elents instead and push them all to the ninth-rank realm.
For him, that's the path to getting stronger faster than achieving the tenth-rank realm.
"System—will there be other benefits if I increase all of my other elents to the ninth-rank realm?" Rex asked—curious as to this path he was deliberating—on going through. Knowing that achieving the sixth-rank realm in two elents granted an 'Exalted' bloodline—Rex was expecting that there would be other bloodlines, that would be unlocked if he achieved more in his Awakened power.
Currently, he has 7 elents because of the vortex from back then.
His elents are dark, lunar, lightning, water, fire, earth, and wind elents.
One could only imagine how strong he would beco, if he increased all of those elents to the ninth-rank realm, he would be the strongest Aawkeend in the current era. Heck even now he could be considered one of the strongest in terms of his Awakened power alone.
Rex was not expecting to see these notifications, he didn't even plan on any of this.
However, he snapped out of his trance when he could see his body steaming with moonlight energy that rejuvenated his entire being. It took a second before it disappeared, and when it disappeared, Rex felt he had gotten stronger.
Clenching his fists a couple of tis, he feels his increase in strength, feeling surreal.
"Now, how do you explain this, System?" Rex mused, sucking in a cold breath.
