Kyran ca expecting to capture the whole scouting team.
A team of three seed to be appropriate for a proper scouting team.
He rembered back when he was training with Edward with Ryze—Edward ntioned that the team for scouting or stealth needs to always be odd. It was a rule, that he learned during his ti in the military with Rex himself.
One mber should always be foreign to the entire team, he said.
It was set up that way so that in the case of an ergency, that one mber would flee.
His or her task is to report back to the main quarter.
Due to knowing that, Kyran anticipated that there were two more Werewolves around.
Sowhere nearby or even inside the forest where the first Werewolf was caught.
But from the looks of it, these two Werewolves were not the ones.
Compared to proper Werewolves, these two looked lush and a little bit disoriented which was a blaring sign that they were not apart of the scouting team of the first Werewolf. Despite the desire to find a more, agreeable mber of the scouting team—the difference, should not be this stark.
Even now, these two Werewolves looked distraught about the situation.
Both of their ntalities were different than the first Werewolf.
Kyran decided that he didn't have any use of them, the Dark Elves could kill them right now.
However, the Dark Elf guards frowned at the two Werewolves' reaction.
As opposed to them, who trembled in utter fear when Kyran entered the chamber, these two Werewolves had a shocked expression before that shocked expression turned into a hopeful one as if they were seeing their savior.
It made the Dark Elf guards hesitate as they exchanged looks with each other.
Eventually, the male Werewolf spoke, "Are you a Beta from the Silverstar Pack?"
Kyran stopped on his way out when he heard this.
"So what if I am?" He asked back, glancing over his shoulders nacingly.
On the other hand, the two Werewolves smiled broadly realizing that they were right.
Just then, the male Werewolf stood up causing the Dark Elf guards to pull the strings of their bows further back—their muscles, twitching ready to fire. But the male Werewolf—raised his hands, signaling that he was not trying to do anything.
"My na is Jarvald, and this is my Luna, Vivian" the male Werewolf, Jarvald, introduced.
Upon hearing this, Kyran pivoted around, "Get to the point, don't waste my ti"
"If you're hoping to survive this through , then you are mistaken" He added.
Not being deterred at all, Jarvald let Kyran have his words before he continued, "I know your Alpha, I know him. If you notify him about us, Jarvald and Vivian, I'm sure he would take us in—he promised to make us, his pack mbers"
Listening to this conversation, the Dark Elf guards instantly lowered their bows.
If what Jarvald said was true then they would never shoot.
If Jarvald and Vivian really know Rex then the Dark Elf guards would let them go instantly.
Kyran tilted his head when he heard this, "How co he never ntioned both of you?"
"He might've forgotten about it, but we helped him in the past about Arnulf and even struck a deal with the Witch of Chaos" Vivian was the one who replied, both were trying to make sure Kyran trusted them as he was their only hope.
Both of them would be killed here if they couldn't gain Kyran's trust.
On the other hand, Kyran was looking at them in contemplation.
'Seems like it was the truth. Both of them knew Flunra and also the Witch, so they must have been the Werewolves—who helped Rex in the past. I guess I will give them the benefit of the doubt and bring them to et with Rex' He eventually nodded.
Considering their strengths were also ager, Kyran didn't feel threatened.
He could swat them both like flies if he wanted to.
"It's His Majesty now—the Alpha is now the Emperor of the Clarentium Empire, the empire he recently built. Make sure to rember that, and address him properly," Kyran reminded. "The both of you co with , I'll see if what you're saying is true or not"
"If you're lying, you both would be sorry" He added before leaving the chamber.
One Dark Elf guard unrestrained the two of them before the two followed Kyran outside.
...
anwhile, within the Vampire Kingdom.
Inside a particular castle guarded with a lot of Royal Vampire Guards.
Nezera—accompanied, by so of her servants—is currently walking along the street of her city, with a pleasant smile on her face. She was greeting every single Vampire along the way, providing so warmth in this hard ti.
She took a rose from the basket brought by her servants and gave each to the people.
Unlike its appearance, the rose was not a normal rose.
It was called the Vita Rosa or most Vampires called it the Blood Rose.
The Vita Rosa got its nickna from its ability to turn into a versatile blood when exposed to blood energy, and the blood it produced was nearing the sa nourishnt as human blood—which is why it was quite expensive in Vampire society.
Even then, Nezera was giving them freely to the people to ease the tension in the air.
Moreover, her appearance in public would definitely help the people calm down.
Of course, this was her duty as the Lady of this territory.
But her duty, was more than this—as it was added because of the absence of her husband—Solomon who was still in a mummified state. Aside from giving her warmth to the people, she also needs to deal with other matters.
Considering the problems she was facing, it was comndable that she still smiled.
After making her trip around her territory on foot, she went back to her castle.
However, as soon as she reached the castle, she slled a familiar scent lingering in the air.
A scent that made her smile, but this ti, it was genuine.
"Calidora, my daughter, why didn't you tell that you are visiting?" She said vibrantly.
Upon saying that—Nezera turned around and saw blood beginning to appear on the ground.
It slowly rged together, climbing, and created a blood figure.
One of Calidora's powers that allows her to create a blood clone at the place she wants.
Since it was the first ti she visited after the great war against the Fifthborn, Nezera swiftly gave her a hug to satiate her longing for her daughter. Pulling away, after a long hug—Nezera looks down at Calidora's small wings and stomach.
"How is the little baby? Have you done all that your grandmother told you?" She asked.
Calidora rolled her eyes, "Yes, yes, I did all of it"
"Calidora..." Nezera squinted her eyes at Calidora's lazy tone. "Should I remind you—that you can only bear one child in your immortal life? If you failed in delivering this one—then you will not have a second chance. Grandmother is right, you should have only bear a child when you are at least two hundred years old"
"I understand, Mother, you don't have to worry," Calidora assured. "It's going to be fine"
Even then, Nezera was still unsure whether to be relaxed or not.
But then, Calidora glanced to the side and asked, "Are the people fine? What are you doing?"
"Huh..." Nezera huffed tiredly—sitting on a bench on the side—waving her hand to send the servants away. "Your Father was being optimistic when he heard you are pregnant, he said that Rex would have another reason to win against the Fifthborn so he decided to evacuate the people back to the city, expecting Rex to win"
"Mother..." Calidora looked around, wearing an acute smile.
Upon hearing this, Nezera glanced at her daughter sharply.
"What? I can't call my son-in-law by his na? I have to always be formal?" She asked. "One day you should bring him here, there's a lot of things he needs to know to really be a part of our Blodirra Family"
Calidora could only sigh and let her Mother say what she wanted.
Eventually, Nezera continued, what she was saying, "The Second Breath hits our people hard—almost a quarter of our people, were separated during the evacuation process. Now we are trying to find them and hope that they are okay, no matter how slim the chances are"
At the news, Calidora was shocked, 'Mother seems to have a lot on her mind...'
Despite the purpose of coming here to discuss the Angels, hoping for insight, Calidora felt that the ti was not right. Nezera has a lot of things on her plate—and adding more to it, wouldn't be a good idea.
However, Nezera sensed this change of air almost instantly.
"Don't worry about ," She said. "I handled a lot worse than this back in the day"
Holding Calidora's hands, she then asked, "What about you? Why have you co here?"
Naturally, Calidora hesitated to answer this question.
It was a lot considering that the Angels—the fallen winged race of the ancient past suddenly appeared out of nowhere and caused trouble. However, with a tilt of Nezera's head—and the look she was giving, Calidora eventually surrendered.
"We got the news, the... the news about the Angel race" She eventually said.
Upon hearing this, Nezera was taken aback, "Angel race...? Is this so kind of a joke?"
"No, the Humans received news from other continents about this," Calidora shook her head.
But then—expecting Nezera to be worried—Calidora, saw the complete opposite, as a smile appeared on her face, "I thought sothing bad happened, so turned out it was the Angels? Why are you wearing that kind of face if it's about the Angels? This is good news!"
"Good news...?" Calidora uttered back, confused.
Seeing the clear confusion on her daughter's face, Nezera chuckled, "Ah, I forgot how young you are. Don't bla because, that is your fault for bearing a child. Alas, there is no need for you or the Humans to be worried. Angels is a pacifier race, they would be glad to see the current state of the world"
"You can even tell Rex to make ally of them, they would like him" She added.
Just from her reaction alone, Calidora could now roughly grasp the Angel race back then.
It seems like the Angel race was an extrely good force that helped the weak.
However, this posed a question—what sparks their change?
Calidora shook her head, "No, Mother. The Angel race was said to be extrely hostile, their forces, destroyed two Supernatural Kingdoms on the other continents—and they are now on their way to conquering another continent and also our continent!"
"What kind of joke is that? There's no way they do that" Nezera laughed, finding it funny.
She didn't know that her daughter had taken a liking to make fantasy stories.
Seeing Nezera's reaction, Calidora exhaled exasperatedly, "I'm being serious, Mother"
Upon hearing this, Nezera stopped her laughs and looked at Calidora.
It was only then that she realized that Calidora was not playing around, she was really saying that the Angel race destroyed two Supernatural Kingdoms unprovoked, "No, it's not possible, there's no chance that the Angel race did that" She spoke in disbelief.
But Calidora didn't budge, her expression was extrely serious.
"The Angels beca hostile...?" Nezera gasped. "If it's against the Demons, I'd understand as there are things the Demons did to them, that are unacceptable. Who did they attack? Was it the Demons?"
"Undead and Vampire Kingdoms..." Calidora replied gravely.
Her voice was low, but the words were ringing in Nezera's head loudly.
Realizing that the Angels were not attacking the Demons, her expression twitched in shock.
"The Angels were attacking another continent, but their attention was pulled to our continent out of the blue, and they were now heading our way. I am here to ask you, whether you know anything that might cause this," Calidora continued, providing a clearer picture.
Nezera positioned her seat to face forward again, her eyes blankly staring forward.
Many things raced in her mind at the sudden explosion of a news.
After a brief mont of silence, with wavering pupils, Nezera replied, "I... I don't know..."
