From quick questions to the people around was enough to confirm that reaching Skillian City is hard.

Perhaps, for a normal person—it would be impossible.

Rex didn’t know what exactly the Skillian Divine Court was created for but since they were tasked to protect the sky, presumably by the Spirit Emperor himself, their task must be of utmost importance, and eting them was a pipe’s dream for almost all people.

Not to ntion, Rex wasn’t going there to et with them—he was going there to demand Devo.

It was infinitely more challenging than visiting the Skillian Divine Court.

Perhaps, he would need the Spirit Emperor’s own seal to do that.

Regardless, it was going to be hard.

Even though he didn’t know the details, he was almost a hundred percent certain that he needed status.

"Becoming a noble is hard, and this… this contest is your shortcut," Amanir said, pointing at the poster.

Snapping out of his initial shock, Rex reached for Amanir’s massive ear and pulled on it.

"Ow~ Ow~ Ow~!" Amanir writhed. "Why are you pulling on my ear?!"

"Because you’re playing around with ," Rex clicked his tongue. "No way I would use that way. I can beco a noble without anybody’s help. Besides, doing that would only give more trouble when I co back"

"Who doubted you about that?" Amanir retorted, pulling his ear away.

He was blowing on his ear but he was serious about what he said.

"Nobody doubted you could beco a noble with your strength," Amanir shook his head, casting Rex a sharp side-eye. "You beca an Emperor in the Mortal Realm, I’m sure you’ll be fine here. But you said to that you’re in a ti constraint, you said to that this is life or death. You are not here to prove yourself, you’re here to survive, and this might possibly be the way"

Upon hearing this, Rex was silenced.

Nothing Amanir said could be refuted, it was all spot-on.

"Even Qonvale predicted that you’d die soon enough. She could see your fate and if I’m not mistaken," He added sarcastically. "The Dark Elves treated her words very seriously. I know you might be suicidal but you clearly cared for the others so do you want to die and make them suffer? Rember, this is my world, not yours so you don’t need to think about repercussions"

Rex felt a pang in his heart when he heard Amanir’s last sentence.

Of course, he knew about that but to be slapped to him so brazenly hits right ho more than ever.

Especially when it ca from Amanir, the spirit who he looked down on most of the ti.

Hah… I’m getting too used to becoming an Emperor.

I prepared to do anything but that anything I thought was killing and killing but that wasn’t it.

Nodding his head, Rex placed a hand on Amanir’s head, patting him.

"Thank you for reminding ," He said appreciatively—Amanir has been living inside his head, and out of the others who knew him deeply, Amanir had beco one of them. "But still, I never knew you had it in you to say sothing like this"

"Hmph! I just don’t want to see Evelyn cry," Amanir exhaled roughly from his nose.

Rex’s face twitched when he heard that, "Since when are you siding with Evelyn?"

"Since you forced to train and her taking care of ," Amanir snorted, walking away in annoyance.

Upon seeing this, Rex wanted to run after him but stopped.

He glanced back at the Naless Dragon Arena poster.

After contemplating for a mont, he reached out his hand and ripped it before placing it in his pocket.

I’ll keep this, maybe I’ll need it later.

Once Andreas finished showing around Arbitgea, he stopped in front of a hotel located on the very outskirts of the city. It wasn’t rundown and it wasn’t lavish either. It wasn’t empty and it wasn’t crowded either—a perfect place for so peace and not be isolated at the sa ti.

"So, what are you guys going to do?" Andreas asked, turning toward the others.

Rex looked at the hotel in front of him and shrugged, "We might as well settle in for the night,"

"Do you have any money to stay here?" Andreas asked again but he already knew the answer, Rex was only wearing a robe and so was Linthia while Amanir didn’t have anything. None of them seed to be carrying around money so Andreas handed a pouch. "Here, this should cover you guys for three days straight"

"Are you sure about this?" Rex asked, accepting the pouch filled with spirit coins.

Andreas waved his hand dismissively, gesturing that it was only a kind gesture, not sothing that Rex and the others needed to be burdened about, "All of you seed like good people so don’t ntion it. Of course, I’ll be expecting a treat to drink when we et again but until then…"

Upon saying that, Andreas excused himself and turned around to leave.

"We lacked a person like that in our world," Linthia mumbled.

Rex nodded in agreent but was still skeptical, "He has no bad side, I can’t trust him fully"

"Demon Spirits are like that, we help each other so don’t probe too much into it," Amanir intervened.

Shaking his head, Rex and the others stepped into the hotel to settle in for the day.

At the receptionist’s desk, the staff greeting him was a spirit that looked like a green genie and he happily took care of Rex. As he was taking the key to the room, Rex couldn’t help but ask, "I’m new around here—but I heard I can find anything in this city. Can you tell where I can get information? Like a place or soone"

"Like anywhere else, go to the Void Hub," the genie answered. "You can get everything there"

"Void Hub?" Rex repeated with a raised brow.

Seeing this, the genie paused for a second—everyone should know about the Void Hub.

But then, his face eases, "Ah, you must be from the Imperial Bubble. A Void Hub is like the Royal Hub"

Rex didn’t know what the genie ant by that at all but he forced out a smile and nodded.

He went back to Amanir and Linthia when he had the key and headed upstairs.

Of course, he asked Amanir about the Void Hub or Royal Hub and Amanir told him that those places were places for Walkers. People could purchase anything there, post missions, and also accept missions as a Walker.

Like a bounty hunter, most Walkers were sent on kill missions.

Despite the protective bubble provided by the Obelisk of Life, the bubble needs regular maintenance.

And whenever they needed maintenance, the bubble would be compromised and Voidal Monsters would be attracted by the life energy that the people were emanating. For that, Walkers were usually hired to clear out the surroundings before the maintenance began.

It was a job for the strong and capable.

Unlike the Mortal Realm where others could grow stronger through beast cores or other forms of growth to a new realm of power, here in the Spirit Realm, those who confronted the Voidal Monsters would not grow in strength.

All Walkers were repaid through riches and glory while risking their lives.

Rex was going to go to the Void Hub to check but he has one thing to do first.

Upon reaching the room, it was modest—two separate beds and another floating bed for Amanir.

Not even wasting a single second, Amanir went to the floating bed to rest.

In hindsight, the floating bed was only a pair of two sticks on the wall but once it sensed spirit energy or rather, life energy from Amanir—it created so sort of hammock that Amanir could lie on. It looked quite comfortable.

Opening the System’s Shop, Rex purchased clothes for him and Linthia to wear.

Since they weren’t aiming to pull attention to themselves, he only purchased bleak tunics and pants.

"Your Majesty, are you going to stay in that form?" Linthia suddenly asked.

Rex looked down at his body, he was still in his Werewolf form and his head was about a te off from the ceiling. He shrugged nonchalantly, "No, I was only keeping this form because of Andreas. I don’t want him asking questions. Also, call by my na when we’re here"

"Yes, Your Ma-" Linthia stopped mid-sentence, correcting herself. "Rex…"

Nodding his head, Rex went ahead to the bathroom to change.

Once he was done, it was Linthia’s turn—but as soon as she ca out, Rex was already sitting on the edge of the bed in his Human form. He glanced over at her—before gesturing for her to sit in front of him. Nervous, Linthia could feel her heart pounding inside.

She didn’t know what Rex was going to say but she knew that it was sothing serious.

Hesitantly, she sat across him with her hands clasped together.

"After we had this conversation, wake Amanir up and ask him to teach you about spirit’s power. You will need to keep up with my pace or you’ll be left behind here," Rex opened the conversation, causing Linthia to firm her resolve inside. "Firstly, I’m going to tell you exactly what you’re going to face in this realm"

Upon hearing this, Linthia’s body tensed—she rembered what Rex had said before coming here.

He said that there was a chance that she would suffer sothing more painful than death.

Pausing for a second to gather his thoughts, Rex then continued, "When I accepted you, Dindora—and Gelmar, I had the vision of making the three of you my future generals. Because of that, I also decided to research the bloodlines of the Dryad, Elf, and Fairy. Have you heard of the Dark Drifting Spirit bloodline?"

Linthia shook her head.

She has never heard of that bloodline, not anything remotely close to it.

But from the way Rex brought this up, it must be a rare bloodline of the Fairy race.

"It’s not only a rare bloodline but it’s the strongest bloodline for your race," Rex clarified seriously.

Hearing this, Linthia could only suck in a cold breath.

Just hearing the word ’strongest’ was enough to make her heart—pound hard, the strongest Dark Fairy bloodline she knew was the Lady of the Dark which was the Fairy Origin’s nesis’ bloodline, which was quite a nightmare in the past.

Although not as strong as the high-rank Supernatural race, the Lady of the Dark was formidable.

So high-rank Supernatural races even have an avoid mark on her.

If this Dark Drifting Spirit was even stronger than that, who could’ve had it? And how did Rex know?

"From what I’ve found, the bloodline isn’t exactly the normal path of Dark Fairies," Rex explained, his knowledge was all stem from the System. "It was a mutation that could occur on every race that fell to the Well of the Untold. It’s only that Dark Fairies has a higher chance to co out of it alive and you’re going to go in there—the Well of the Untold is in the Spirit Realm"

Silence enveloped the room when he said that.

Linthia closed her eyes and inhaled deeply before she opened her eyes again to look at Rex.

She was calming the storm inside her mind.

"How many people have gone through that well and co out alive?"

"I don’t know"

"What would happen to if I went into it?"

"I don’t know"

"How do I exactly survive and co out of the well?"

"I don’t know"

Upon throwing rapid questions and getting the sa answer over and over again, Linthia bit her lip.

Rex has no answer to any of her questions.

"All I know is that the Well of the Untold is real, the Dark Drifting Spirit bloodline is real, and if you really ca out of it you will no doubt have that bloodline," Rex explained, that was all the information from the System. Learning more requires gold that he didn’t have. "As I said, you will be the strongest if you manage to go through this"

As he said that, Linthia paused again and breathed—this ti she didn’t take longer to contemplate.

She was already ready the mont she stepped in.

"I have one more question," She suddenly mumbled.

Rex gestured for her to ask away.

Looking at Rex hopefully in the eyes, she opened her mouth, "Do you think I could do it?"

"Yes, without a doubt. Or else I wouldn’t have brought you here" Rex answered instantly.

As soon as he said that, Linthia’s face turned resolute, "Then that’s all I needed to hear"
